Great service and food!
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. Our table was ready when we arrived. No waiting. Service was attentive and food came out quickly even though it was a busy holiday. Dishes are always excellent!! Pumpkin Ravioli was wonderful! Great place! I always recommend it to friends and bring family there.
Since we had reservations we were seated when we arrived. Our sever was pleasant and asked if we had any questions about the items on the menu. Food was served with a good timing for antipasti, soup and entrée. The food and experience was very good.
Been a while since my wife and I have been here. We'll be back more often and soon! Food was excellent, service wonderful and staff was fantastic. Did I mention the food? Come in, have a drink and enjoy and excellent meal.
The food was great at Francesca's Tavola. We've been there before (though it's been several years) and to several of the other Francesca's locations. Always enjoy it. In this case, we were on a bit of a time crunch, b/c we had theater tickets for an evening show. Our waitress basically disappeared at some point during the meal. I had to raise my hand and wait for someone, anyone, to come check on what we needed. This happened twice during the last half of our meal. And the service was so slow, my wife was unable to order the espresso she wanted after the meal, b/c by that time we were needing to leave in order to get to the theater on time. So I was not a happy camper, and probably won't go back there. Even though, as I mentioned at the start, the food was great, and we normally are big fans of Francesca's.
The service was exceptionally fast to the point where we felt rushed. Other than that everything else was great.
Food was not good and I even had my pasta brought the first time with a hair in it. Definitely not worth what it cost.
Francesca's has for sure changed. My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner there almost 20 years ago and loved the food, ambiance, and value of the meal. This may be our last time going anytime soon. We did not get water or bread until we asked for it (about 20 minutes into us sitting down) and even though the bread was great, the wait was strange. Then for dinner, we almost laughed out loud at my wife's meal. She ordered the ravioli for almost $20 and received 7 ravioli on her plate... that's almost $3 per ravioli! They were thin and did not even close to fill the plate. That was it for her meal too... 7 ravioli... no vegetable, or anything else. I had an eggplant pasta dish, but it also had very few vegetables in it, just a little pasta and lots of sauce (the sauce was good I will say!).
It just seems like they have lost their way and the price for what you get is not good enough for us to go. We have always liked Francescas and hope they can recover what made them special for so long.
Food was a bit overpriced ($16) for a veggie panini is ridiculous. It should be $12 max. All around the service was good, although our server leaned in extremely close for a prolonged period to review the specials with me. It was unnecessary and made me uncomfortable.
Noise level is high, service was a little slow, need more variety of chicken without bone entrees, but tiramisu is very good.
Great time as always!
We were there for veterns day and received my meal for free; Nice touch for vet's.
This was the second time in a month we have been there; my wife was disappointed with the gnocci the butternut was better last time, she did send it back and was told to order somthing else. She did , the veal was outstanding.
Half price bottles of wine and a very nice Veterans Day special..
Yes, if they can tolerate a lot of noise and do not mind straining to hear conversation. Food good. They permit sharing a plate, which helps with cost.
It was great that they had valet parking because the lot was full. We were seated on time. The dinner was excellent. Great restaurant with a good vibe!
There is great value with the Salmon Fresca with Avacado and Asparagus for $16...you can also sub in lentils and that is very good also.
The bread was warm and the olive oil and grated Parmesan tasted so good on it. The wine was very enjoyable. The food was delicious. And the dessert was decadent.
Greeted with smiles and seated immediately. Michael treated us to the delicious bruschetta as we are regular customers. He is always so friendly and kind . Rene was our server and couldn't have been nicer. His service was great! We all enjoyed our drinks and meals! Can't wait to go back and would definitely recommend to my family and friends. Wish parking was better, but at least they have valet available.
Great service. Delicious food. We can't wait to go back.
Food is delicious and presented so well. Service is excellent! However, the noise level is atrocious! We were a party of four, and could not hear one another. We were constantly craning our necks in toward the center of table to try to hear what was being said. This lead to a frustrating evening as we had hoped to catch up with each others' travels and this was not possible. Not sure how you can cut down on all of the noise, but this is a real problem when dining at Francesda's.
Always reliable! Delicious, friendly and enjoyable! Love that they change the menu up and have specials. Highly recommend!
Excellent as always. The special salad had too much dressing & too much vinegar, fyi
Was good but after supporting this restaurant since opening I feel like the prices are really increasing
Would also like a larger selection of meals.
One of our very favorite restaurants. You can depend on excellent service, delicious food and drink, lovely ambiance, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
What ever happened to the old fashioned restaurant where you get soup, salad, potato vegetable? Food was great, so was the service but all I got was 2 pork chops with a cup at the most of spinach for $28.00.
I brought my elderly uncle and his Swedish cousin to dinner Saturday evening 10/19 at 7 pm. We've dined at Francesca's Tavola before, but never on a Saturday evening. We found the noise levels quite high, so it was difficult to carry on a conversation. The booth that we were assigned was very tight, so much so that my uncle spilled his cocktail on himself since the table was so full, even before dinner was brought. Most of all, even though I hailed a passing waiter to get a towel to wipe down the mess, no one came for at least 15 - 20 minutes, by which time my 92 year old uncle was thoroughly soaked. When the meal was finished, it took another 20 minutes for us to gain the waiter's attention to bring us our bill, even though the restaurant was only about half full at the time.
The food was OK, but the overall ambience and service left a lot to be desired. My uncle is still talking about how uncomfortable he was with the overall experience, even days later. It's unlikely that we'd be coming back, even on a different night. There are too many other good restaurants in the greater Arlington Heights area to take another chance.
This was a half way place for us to meet some friends for a get together. I had been here before for a baby shower & lived the food. We all lived our dinner & conversation
Just amazing, our waiter was on top of our needs and wants and even got our special order we had been dreaming about. Spectacular, another 5 star evening at Francesca's Arlington Hts.
The food was yummy but the waiter was truly the best....very considerate of some personal issues and very attentive. Wished we'd gotten his name.
Jack Daniels on the rocks was $13!
I don’t think I will return. Feel bad, as
really liked this restaurant. Service was
not good either.
We were so well satisfied and the manager came by to inquire as we were sharing our very good experience with each other. A delight.
Food was good. Service was excellent. Would have loved to see just a bit more variety to choose from on the menu.
Half prices bottles of wine on Monday are great...usual good food and strong service from Juan
I have been to quite a few of the Francesca restaurants. This is the second time my wife and I have eaten at Tavola. For some reason, the service and food here is not as good as the other restaurants in the Francesca group. The restaurant is very loud and everyone in our group had difficulty hearing our waitress. Frankly, her service was average at best - and seemed more rote than personal. My wife asked to have one ingredient - butter - not included in the sauce/topping for her fish. Instead, she received no topping, whatsoever - no vegetables, no seasoning, etc. When the waitress was informed of this, there was no apology. Eventually, other staff brought over a bowl of the topping without the butter. Meanwhile, the fish had been sitting. Obviously, it had not been cooked in the correct sauce. We'll continue to go to the other Francesca restaurants - but not Tavola.
We had a group of 8..was seated promptly. Bread and cheese brought out quickly...pasta and salmon special was delicious. Juan was great server..overall a great night.
Superb Italian restaurant right next to downtown Arlington Heights. Very authentic and delicious food starting with the warm sliced bread loaf with oil and fresh grated cheese, some Italian wine, prosciutto rucola, burrata, and two great entrees, finishing up with a shared dessert special, we had a great experience overall. Sat in the comfortable bar area this time, had friendly and responsive service, and will definitely go back again.
Great service! Incredible food! They were very accommodating to dietary needs. Always a sure bet!
It was Homecoming night in the restaurant so we sat in the bar and had great service from Chrissy and Kenny. Had the salmon fresca and soup and was fantastic . Always a nice evening!
