Frogs Leap Public House
Love this restaurant! We have been several times and have always enjoyed our food! My favorite waiter is Nevil! He is extremely knowledgeable with the menu and wine choice! He has never steered us wrong!!!
We had a really pleasant evening at the Leap, much like previous visits. Neville was “smoovah” as per usual helping us with menu and drink suggestions. The strawberry semifreddo consommé was a memorable dessert. The Leap is a local treasure.
Ditch the frying pans. Poor presentation. Can’t distinguish the food. Too dark.
Amazing farm to table fresh local food, crafted and put together perfectly from Chef Kaighn and staff! Wonderful wait staff, catered to all of our needs above and beyond. Pristine environment for a nice intimate culinary experience. Whether Republicans it’s a first date, anniversary, or just a night out on the town. Will return when I can many more time!!!
Always good, unusual menu, great service , fairly expensive , very loud
We loved it nice cozy atmosphere. Service was good. Good Martini though the run out of the Tito’s . Good other choices.
We got 2 starters salad with goat cheese. Delicious. And the pork belly in a bun Asian style presentation was beautiful and flavors fabulous. Dinner was the chop which we shared and served with collard greens again wonderful flavors .would definitely visit again they also have a beautiful bar in a separate area .
For us, the best restaurant in Waynesville area. Great food and service, good wine selection
Truly innovative and delicious every single time we've gone. This time I had scallops on truffle cauliflower puree with a hash of roasted butternut squash, brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Just yum.
Double date. Devils on Horseback always a favorite of mine. Brussel sprout appetizer was different and delicious. Fries always extra crispy and amazing with truffle oil and Parmesan. Tuna small plate perfect dinner for me. Scallops were the table favorite entree. Service was great. Wine recommendations perfectly paired with food. Thank you!
FLPH is always a wonderful experience as food and service are exceptional. Alittle pricey so save visiting there for special occasions. Highly recommend!
We continue to love Frogs Leap. Food is excellent, service perfect and we’re always treated kindly and with respect.
Wonderful as always!! Our favorite place to dine in WAYNESVILLE!!
Twice being served by Kara, she completed a great meal and will always ask for her.
Absolutely delicious. Wonderful staff.
We discovered this gem last autumn and had a wonderful meal at the bar because the restaurant was full. Tonight we had a wonderful meal again.
Kim was a wonderful waitress with great enthusiasm, attention and recommendations.
Although a good drive from Hendersonville it is worth the trip!
We always enjoy this restaurant. Wait staff are excellent and good is great and the menu regularly changes so you don’t get bored with the choices. Great cocktails and wine list. We love the devils in horseback and they have the best truffle fries I have ever had. Seafood is great. Also the pork chop but you can’t go wrong with any of the entrees.
We love this restaurant!
It is always a pleasure dining here! The food is consistently excellent (nice range of choices) and the service is impeccable! (Especially N - as professional a server as we have ever encountered and have eaten in a lot of restaurants throughout the U.S. and Europe over the years). We drive 40 minutes one way just to eat here!
Very good, creative food. Excellent presentation. Service was a tad slow, waitress may have been new.
Would dine there again.
Incredible NYE dinner. Have dined here numerous times and always loved this place but this meal was the best yet hands down. Perfect last meal of 2019.
Although we made our New Year's reservation quite far in advance, we only received notice 4 days ahead of the date telling us that the menu was now prix fixe and would be $75 per person. Since it was too late by that time to make a reservation anywhere else, we didn't say anything about cancelling. The $75 included 5 courses for $65 and a glass of champagne for $10 (which I don't drink because it makes me ill and which we neither ordered nor wanted). We didn't realize that the champagne was included in the fixed price until after my husband ordered a glass of wine which he promptly cancelled when the champagne arrived - our waiter brought the wine anyway....
The food was good although both entrees were overcooked - basically, the evening wasn't up to their usual standards.
Amazing food, tastfully decorated, clean and exceptional service. Kim was an exceptional server. She knew the menu and food was helpful in choosing dishes and wine pairings.
As always very nice. We all ordered differently and were really satisfied. Wonderful!!!
One of the more creative menus in the area and the food is really well done, plated and presented. The restaurant's interior is rustic but refined. There is a solid wine list both by the bottle and by the glass. The topper is the local sourcing and a large sign that shows all of the different ingredients and the local producer.
Took out of town guests for dinner. Showed them the online menu before going from which we all selected our entree. When we got there none of the items we wanted were on the "current" menu. We checked with the hostess and discovered the online menu was dated 2017 and the one handed to us was dated Dec. 2019. After making our new selections for dinner we did enjoy very good food. However, we were there for a little over two hours and decided the very slow service was the main cause. The noise level was so high one of the four of us did not hear most of our conversations. The menu prices were quit high for the experience.
Were given a table by the door. Asked for another table because there were many. They refused. We stayed but will not go again because they could have honored our request but refused.
Celebrated birthday. Food and service excellent. Lamb chops and trout were delicious.
Arrived early waited in the bar for the 45 minutes until reservation time, drinks in the bar very good. The food was great, the service good, maybe a bit understaffed but we will return for the food.
A creative menu.
Every single bite exceeded our expectations!
Ambiance and food are always wonderful! Entree pricing has increased a fair amount over the past couple years making it less attractive for anything but a special occasion.
This was our first visit to Frogs Leap and we had a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner with surprising, fun and creative dishes. I particularly enjoyed the Caesar Salad. And the atmosphere is very nice but a bit cool; most people wore sweaters or jackets while eating. We would absolutely rate it outstanding except for that and a couple other minor issues.
The service was not what we expected after reading many reviews. For example, the waiter took our knives after salads, then brought our entrees but did not bring back clean knives - we eventually stopped another waiter to ask for them. Also, my wife ordered a side of cranberry dressing which the waiter did not bring and again we had to flag him down to remind him.
Having explained that, we will definitely go back in the future and would definitely recommend it to friends.
The service and food was great, we always eat at frogs leap when we’re in town.
Memorable meal. Our favorite restaurant in Waynesville.
We had two small plates, a salad, and two glasses of wine. All very delicious, but, with tip, $112.00+. Menu prices have gone up a lot in a year to $30+ for entrees, $9 for salad.
A Great Place for a wonderful dinner. Toni is particularly good with wines!
We’ve eaten all around the country and FLPH is our go-to for exquisite food every time. We love trying new things but nothing ever seems to compare to our favorites at FLPH. We will continue to visit over and over and tell our friends the same. It’s so nice to see a quality small business thriving in our community. We hope FLPH is here to stay!
Waynesville s best hands down so many places come and go in this small town price well yes it is more but I rather spend 30 on something that was great than 20 on crap
If having the best available in the area matters go here
Still the best place in Western NC and my wife's favorite place period
