We are a friendly and approachable team of people, with a passion for the good things in life. Born from nostalgia for a traditional style of commerce and a desire to challenge perceptions that French dining is formal or fussy, we work with independent suppliers to offer a regularly changing wine list & tapas style menu. The inspiration for the fuss-free French food and the stylish interior comes from the traditional bistros of Paris. The emphasis is on simply, reasonably priced dishes and the menu includes familiar Gallic favourites like moules marinières, steak frites with skinny frites, duck confit and the Côte dessert speciality, crème caramel. Côte is ideal for a quick business lunch, mid-week dinners with friends, and pre-theatre meals. We guarantee you’ll come back time after time.
Serving up some of the best Italian cuisine in Newcastle, Prima Restaurant is not to be missed. Located in Newcastle’s lively Quayside along The Side, you’ll find this spacious and relaxed restaurant under the old high level bridge. The space itself features original elements including a beautiful stone arch which complements the atmosphere just perfectly. In terms of the menu, Prima Restaurant offers pizzas that locals can’t get enough of – be sure to check out the in-house pizzaiolo in action – as well as all your favourite Italian classics. We recommend the nduja pizza topped with spicy salami, buffalo mozzarella and roquito peppers; prawn and scallop ravioli with a tomato and basil sauce or the slow-cooked lamb served with rosemary and a red wine sauce.
