We had a lovely meal at Peace and Loaf. The service was impeccable, very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We ordered starters and main courses and there was a pre-starter delivered to the table which was a variety of delicious tidbits. Also a small dish served between the two courses. The serving staff advised and described what they were putting down to you even for the starter and main course. The food was outstanding, well presented, plentiful and very tasty. More

Wonderful, as always! I defy anyone to enjoy a better meal with such value for money, anywhere in the North East! The food is always so sublime and innovative. I ate a starter of salt cod fritters, nestling on tomato fondue and every mouthful was totally delicious! My husband had the Lyonnaise salad and enjoyed it immensely. We both had steak frites which we have chosen on numerous occasions and again, were delicious! Desserts of chocolate deluxe and lemon and lavender posset provided the finishing, delicious touch, accompanied by glasses of a very good red wine. Another consistently superb meal! Food was very good and the value for your money was great. Small restaurant so the noise was loud but could still have a conversation with out any issues. Overall a very good place to eat! More
