Gaspares Italian Bistro

Our evening to have dinner with Caitlyn. Our server for the past three times we have enjoyed this locally kept secret. The wife and I decided to split the Veal Franchais and our friends split the Veal Oscar. The Chef forgot to share so Caitlyn cut the veal. Both couples' ages are restricting the volume of food we get at Gaspare's. The gentlement ordered the Clams with a little bit of red and a little bit of white sauce - a unique taste. My wife and I had the chicken escarole and the other couple had their dinner salads. Caitlyn mixed four martinis for us and they were refreshing. George and I had a glass of Pinoit Noir and Sig.Blanc - their house wines are not only reasonable but they taste good too. Dessert was Teramsu for three of us with Ellie having the three brownie combination. It was tough leaving our choice of restaurant. Good night Caitlyn - you are the best!

Gaspare's did it again.....First, Kaitlyn mixed two great Martinis - a White Cosmo and a Lemon Drop. Then we got the best soup and salad in the region. We then feasted on the Veal Franchais and the Veal Parm - both with linguini. No dessert - too full - couldn't finish the meal; took some of both veal dishes home for tomorrow's lunch. Another wonderful evening at Gaspare's.....Happy Holidays!

Good food for over 40 years!

We had parmigiana crusted chicken with side of pasta. The food was very good as usual. My only complaint was that early bird ends at five now and we had no way of knowing that. My message to Gaspare is that cutting the amount of food and still having early bird is probably financially equal to serving such large portions that you have to take at least half home.
Our waitress was wonderful and the service excellent. Always love going there.

Excellent Dining Experience. Loved the Food - Veal Saltimbocca. Wine was even cold and extremely good. Very Nice Time. Would do it again.

We love Gespares. The quality of the food is excellent. Not great ambiance, it is very small and the tables are very close to each other. But the food and service is worth it.

It’s just a wonderful place to have dinner. Our waitress made the best Happy Hour Martini for each of us. Two of us had a veal dish with different side orders of pasta and one of our party had the stuffed Flounder. The food was cooked to perfection and it certainly is one of the best dinner spots in all of Southern Jersey. If you want great drinks, fabulous entries and fun people to wait on you, then visit Gaspares.

What a wonderful night! Sunday dinner with the family! The food was perfection beautiful and delicious...the service, on point... the atmosphere was so warm and familiar:) we felt like family ourselves. We definitely will be back!

This place is a hidden gem. Not what you would expect from what looks like a pizza/sub restaurant in a strip mall. The service and quality of the food was superb. The prices were very reasonable for excellent quality fish. I love the fact that you can have your (generous portion) protein prepared exactly the way you want, with any number of sauces. All entrees come with soup or salad and pasta. We ordered a bottle of wine which was a good value. I understand you can BYOB but there is a corkage fee. We plan on returning for another meal.

We have been going to Gaspares for over 15 years and have never been disappointed..the service is excellent and the staff personable and courteous.The food is AMAZING...always hot and plentiful...I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a great Italian meal.

As usual, service and food was very good. Had an additional guest with us on Sunday and my brother and his wife enjoyed it as well. Earlier in the week, I mentioned our first visit to my brother and how good it was. His friend was nearby and as soon as I mentioned Gaspares, he said it was one of his and his wife's favorites. This conversation took place in Philadelphia, not at the shore. My brother's friend has a home in OC and travels to Gaspares frequently.

Has been our go to Italian restaurant since it opened in the ‘80’s.

Gaspares always offers wonderful food. The vinaigrette was a little too acidic, but everything else made up for it. They offer such a great early bird that I hate to advertise it. So many choices make it hard to choose, but every one delicious. No wonder they’ve been in business for so long.

As always, we enjoyed our meal. Restaurant looked beautiful and was decorated for fall, enhancing our experience. Wait staff is extremely attentive, food was delicious. Look forward to returning soon

Wish this place was in center city Philly...there would be a line out the door from when they open til they close. Place is charming & very inviting & comfortable...I didn't want to leave

We were in AC & to Egg Harbor...short ride...the most delicious lunch @ 11am HOUR HOUR starts so we were right on time.

For an appetizer..we had a glass of wine & a slice of pizza. Pizza was perfect! Following that, shrimp scampi had to bring some of it home, good size portion for lunch,

All the reviews I read were true! Gaspares is a delicious place for many years...our waitress who ran the place could not have been nicer....very helpful a lovely lady.

Hope before the first frost we can get back to GASPARES this place could be habit forming....the food is FABULOUS!

Wow! We've been to dozens of Italian restaurants, but this one is very special. Top-of-the-line food with more than ample portions, and sauces among the best we've ever had. We're goin' back next week to try some of other interesting stuff we saw on the video menu along the walls.
