The Geneva chophouse was very highly rated, which is why we booked it as a splurge, getaway dinner. We did not realize it was attached to the resort, but that should not matter with the reviews it got. We ordered oysters for appetizers, and drinks which were very good. We decided to split the 36 oz. Tomahawk ribeye and shared the lobster mac and mushrooms as sides. The steak was definitely not 36 oz. and over cooked. The mushrooms were good, but the lobster mac was cold, small and had very few lobster pieces. It was underwhelming at best for a $300 meal with tip. We will not be back.

Fantastic service, great food, awesome atmosphere. We, a party of 5, had a great time. We wanted a place for a special dinner on our girl's weekend away, and this was it! One of our steaks was not cooked to the wellness ordered, but the manager was on top of it and got it fixed asap. We had been at the spa that day, and the staff their raved about the French onion soup- and they were right! It was amazing! We mostly got filets, perfection, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, just fantastic! I can't say enough about this place. They are operating at a lower capacity due to covid, so make sure you make a reservation! We heard they had nothing available for walk-ins that day!

Our first time to Geneva Chophouse and we were not disappointed. Service at our table was excellent and attentive. We had oysters, crab legs, scallops and my 10 year old son ate the entire pork chop! I would recommend the Tiramisu martinis for dessert. I always appreciate when the manager stops by to see how dinner went. Make a reservation!

Food was terrific, service was terrific. Overall wonderful. We went on a Thursday for dinner. Many diners were crowded into one area of the restaurant so we asked to be seated separately due to COVID. In passing the restaurant the following night (Friday) we saw that the entire restaurant was fairly busy and a lot of distance would have been difficult. COVID distancing aside, a lovely experience.

I was very pleased when we asked if we could be moved that it was immediately acted upon. Our server Angela was fantastic. Zach is also phenomenal. Wonderful dinner and we will be back!!!

Steak was cooked to perfection! The food and service was amazing. My only "negative" comment is about the wine selection. For people not knowing about wine it was fine, but I found it lacking, especially since there is an Italian restaurant above this place. when I am dining I prefer to have selections outside of the grocery store I shop at...

Awesome as usual!

The caesar, ribeye, salmon, creamed corn, asparagus, were top notch. Top notch. And that is comparing to Ward’s, Gibson’s, Maple&Ash, Prime&Provision, anywhere.
The ambiance is warm and there are scenic views across the golf course and lake. The staff dresses formal and sharp and keep busy moving. That said, the wait times to order and to get food are a bit on the long side.
The manager actually came and introduced himself and asked about the food and we told him it was delicious.
We will go back.

This was my birthday celebration. I order the ribeye steak with bone. The stake was terrible for the price. I spent $155 for this meal and was very dissatisfied.

Such a great night out. I was a little shocked at the prices but when we received the food , it was well worth what we paid. Highly recommend

I love the character of this restaurant. The service and food doesn't disappoint! We come here annually.

Overall it was a nice place to eat. Soup and salad were good. Scallops could have had a better sear. The ribeye could have used some salt. It was lacking flavor. I did enjoy the Oscar style with the ribeye. Creme brûlée paired with the peanut butter cup was an excellent combination. Would have given a 5 but was underwhelmed by the main course.

Celebrated my 50th birthday here in lake Geneva and decided on dining at the Chop House

Our server was Melissa and she was exceptional! The food was great the atmosphere is classy and the great service made it an excellent dining experience

Restaurant is always great, it was Christmas Eve so menu is short , drinks were not up to par but waitress was outstanding still lovely dinner

Not the fault of the restaurant but we had a man who was swearing loudly at one table throughout our dinner and a crying baby on the other side. Brighter lights than I prefer for this type of experience. However, one of the best tasting meals I’ve ever had. I had the lobster tails, Yukon mashed potatoes and salad. Top notch!! Returning next year for my anniversary.

We have ate here a few times and it’s truly amazing. It is a must go to for us when we are in town. Service was outstanding.

It was great. A must visit during the Holidays especially.

First time going there and I have to say we will definitely go back. Food was excellent portions were nice. Because of COVID-19 the spacing was done very well.

The food was delicious. It was probably the best steak I've ever had at the Geneva Chophouse. The service was good.

The reason I rated my experience so low was that we had a table near the entrance of the restaurant so everyone leaving and coming in walked by my table. It amazed me that during COVID, even with all the waitstaff at the front of the restaurant, no one reinforced wearing a mask in and out. Lots of people walked by my table without a mask! My food out in the open and people waking by as they pleased, unmasked. I felt terribly uncomfortable. This had been the first time since March I went out to dinner with my husband and the entire time I was anxious about people walking by my table and food.

My advice, have the 2-3 restaurant staff at the front of the restaurant reinforce mask wearing so all restaurant patrons could feel safe. I wish I would have requested a table in back with less traffic if I had known mask wearing wasn't going to be reinforced outside my table.

It was a wonderful time. Very special place to celebrate a birthday. Every thing was top notch. In addition the holiday decorations through out the Grand Geneva Resort made our experience extra special.

It is absolutely always a delight to eat at the Chophouse. The standard is above and beyond for food, service, and quality. One of the best restaurants to patron. We love the Chophouse.

Went for our anniversary & had a wonderful time! Service was excellent and my husband said their ribeye is the best steak he’s had recently! I had the filet & scallops, and they were perfectly tender. I had heard their wine menu was impressive, but I was disappointed by a small & overpriced by the glass selection. Overall great experience, will return for our next special occasion!
