Glasbern Country Inn
The is a great place for a romantic outing. Perfect get away from reality and the hustle of everyday life. The Staff, and service was fantastic. Our server was extremely friendly and polite. The food was delicious, perfect portion size. Looking forward to going back.
Absolutely the best dining experience in the Lehigh Valley - especially for couples
Perfect Birthday weekend! We will be back. We love Glasbern the food the ambiance the stables the people and staff. Such an awesome place!!!
It was a nice quiet evening sitting and dining by the fireplace. The atmosphere was filled with tranquility and the food was delicious and as advertised. We definitely recommend the Glassburn Inn.
We always love coming here. It’s so relaxing and beautiful and the food is delicious every time.
A very nice evening in a beautifully rustic setting. The food was fresh, nicely prepared yet not very flavorful. The servers were lovely and on a Monday in February the restaurant was on the quiet side which we really enjoyed. I will return.
The food was great, our service was excellent and it's a beautiful place to spend a romantic evening.
The peanut butter pie was AMAZING!
I absolutely love this place. Not only did we host a client here but I also have had date night here. This location and the food is amazing. The service is phenomenal. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet night out with anyone who enjoys great food and drinks.
Small limited menu, but everything was superb! This restaurant is truly their farm to table.
The ambiance in the winter is so cozy by the fireplace.
Food was excellent. The only complaint was a limited menu . Will go back .
Great food at a reasonable price. Romantic bed and breakfast
An automatic 18% gratuity is added to ALL checks, regardless of the satisfaction of the customers or the size of the party.! We were a party of TWO and had that added to our checks, which is not explained anywhere but in small print on the menu, so by the time you are seated and order a drink, you are stuck. Food is good but quite overpriced with very limited options. Would suggest that the Glasbern management take a look at these issues and refresh their menu (to include less heavy, summery options) as well as to update their policies regarding automatic tips. While I am always a generous tipper, I want to decide what our servers will receive. It was also obvious that staffing is inadequate all around, since we had to wait a long time for our food, clearing of the table, and our check at the end. Please hire more staff to assist the dedicated people who work there now.
Our dinner was excellent. The atmosphere is beautifully rustic, but modern at the same time. The staff are most accommodating and friendly.
Our dinners were excellent and the selection of wines and cocktails complimented our meal.
Portions were more than sufficient, but if you're looking for diner-sized meals, that's not what the Glasbern does. No doggie bag required, although our waitress told us we could do so, if we wanted. We enjoyed the meal, so no take-home required.
We will be going back, for sure.
Farm to table goodness! Delicious meal, great, friendly service, quaint atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Beautiful location, underwhelming food. The prices and presentation suggest a first rate experience. Unfortunately the actual flavor leaves much to be desired. The ingredients were good but the kitchen did not do them justice.
It has a relaxing atmosphere and quiet for conversation. Great service makes it enjoyable.
Lovely rustic ambience and super friendly staff does not make up for under seasoned, overcooked and overpriced entrees. Salads were great as waa dessert. Got the filet two nights in a row, each time asked for medium rare and came out medium well, and well. Wide had the meatloaf and salmon which were fine after adding salt and pepper... (nice crisp in the salmon).
Went for our 24th Anniversary. The grounds are beautiful and the buildings are awesome. The food was kinda disappointing. Our salads were goodl. My husband’s meatloaf was great. I ordered the filet rare. It was medium well. Asked for another. Our server said the kitchen staff was changing shifts and wondered if it was cooked ok. Then why send it out? I ate the mashed potatoes (which needed salt) and the asparagus (which was really over salted and peppered) while I waited for my filet. When it finally showed up my husband was done eating and it was medium. Rare should be easy... cooked the least amount of time. Desert was good. Ordered the Glasbern coffee and it was too sweet to drink. So for around $250 it kinda fell short.
Overpriced in my opinion but a nice rustic cozy place.
Took my wife here for Valentine’s Day and it was awesome. Great views and ambience made better by the fireplace. Hard to believe we’ve lived in this area 12 years and finally got around to trying this place out. A bit pricey, but I highly recommend for a casual albeit fine dining experience.
For the price point, we expect more meticulous and professional service and more unique and special food choices. The positive is the atmosphere. We have dined here in the past when everything was exceptional. Unfortunately, it is just not the same so the evening was a bit of a disappointment.
Delicious food! The Salmon I had was perfectly prepared. It was seared to a nice crispness on the outside but was moist, flaky and well-seasoned inside. My husbands chicken was also moist and tasty. Salads were wonderful. I had a beet and pear salad that was delicious. Desserts were marvelous too. The service was timely but not rushed.
Jesse Hess is doing a fantastic job. The food was prepared perfectly and the portions were just right.
I travel 130 nights a year and use Open Table to find local restaurants and avoid chains. I was encouraged by the pics and description of a farm to table dining option. The menu seemed limited. I found out later there was a prie fix menu I was never offered. Although the room was less than 1/3 full I waited over 45 mins for a filet that was over cooked while the whole meal was barely warm. To add insult to injury they added 18% gratuity to the bill tho this was not stated on the menu or in the open table listing. I would have tipped my server any way. The problem was with management and a poorly run kitchen. Will not return!
Sunday through Thursday Glasbern features a $30 pris fixe menu which we sampled, and recommend.
Sadly, dinner was overpriced and underwhelming. The only dish we truly enjoyed was the mushroom gnocchi for our $210 bill.
I hadn’t been to Glasbern in about 20 years. My family used to go often for special occasion dinners, but somehow we got away from it. So, I decided to book a reservation for my husband’s and my wedding anniversary. The grounds were lovely, the ambiance just as romantic as I remembered, and the food was superb. Meesha was our waitress and could have been sweeter, or more attentive. We will most certainly be back.
We went to the Glasbern Inn for an early dinner on Mother's Day. We had a pleasant meal during our first visit several years ago but this trip was a big disappointment. The restaurant has a very pleasant main dining room with a fireplace and a high timbered ceiling but despite what appeared to be available tables, we were seated in a secondary room off the rear of the main. Perhaps they had reservations for the tables that were unoccupied in the main room but there were still open tables out there as we were leaving so that point is questionable. And speaking of Mother's Day, we were completely surprised with a limited 4 course dinner menu at a fixed price of $75 per person, plus an extra $10 if you wanted prime rib as an entree. Overall, the food was "OK," but nobody in our party had their socks knocked off by anything. The kitchen would have been better off doing three courses of higher quality food at a lower price. Service average, ambiance nothing - the only view we had was out the window. With our extras for beef, beverages and an 18% restaurant added gratuity, our bill was $435! Now that knocked our socks off! Won't be going back; If I want to pay over $100 per person of dinner, I'll drive into Philadelphia.
Perfect place for celebrating an anniversary.. beautiful atmosphere!
The Glasbern was a great place we have been to in a very long time. Amazoning food and great people.
My husband and I went there for our anniversary. We were seated at a table next to fire place. It was absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing.
Such an awesome spot. Have to go back for brunch during the day.
My husband and I booked dinner at Glasbern to celebrate with a dear friend. The ambience was wonderful and the dinner extraordinary as always. We had the roasted butternut bisque and each of us ordered a different entree: the duck, the salmon and the tenderloin, all were cooked to perfection. Although our waiter was personable, his level of service did not live up to what we have previously experienced. We ordered a bottle of wine to have with dinner and he brought it out while we were just sipping our cocktails.Next, he promised us bread and did not bring it until we reminded him. Finally, we had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled. When doing so he neglected to fill my glass so I had to ask again. All certainly little things, but these little things make a difference when dining at a such a fin establishment.
Wow. How did I not know about this hidden gem. Fantastic. Great ambience. Great food, wine and service. Really pleased.
The food was perfect, the service was on point and the ambiance was romantic. We will definitely be back! Compliments to the chef!
We always enjoy the Glasbern Inn. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have an excellent wine list. A great place for a date night.
Been here several times. Never disappointed.
Overall good experience, food was very good but very pricey. Server was very soft spoken.
Always a Great! Excellent food and service..
