Everything was perfect: the place, the service and the food are execellent.

This makes 21 plus years coming here to celebrate special occasions and Glen Ella Springs has never failed to impress.

Certainly out of the way as we had to drive a couple of miles down a rough dirt road and thru a standing pool of water, but worth the drive as the food and atmosphere was outstanding.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Glen Ella. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the risotto cake was one of the best things I have eaten at a restaurant in some time. Fantastic and we hope to return again soon.

The food is absolutely outstanding. My wife had steak and I had trout. The wine prices were reasonable. The food prices were high, but not exrremely so. The only negative was that it took an hour for us to get our food after we had ordered, even though we had a reservation. The reason that was given was that a group of six (who did not have a reservation) had arrive just before we did.

The ambiance was perfect and the food was delicious. Crabcake appetizer came out piping hot, the salad was cold and flavorful, and the pecan crusted trout was cooked wonderully. My husband had the tenderloin and loved every bite. We were full, but still had dessert and so glad we did. Amazing! Our server was friendly and helpful. Just an overall satisfying meal and dining experience.

Combined with our stay at the historic Glen-Ella Springs Inn, dinner two of our evenings while there was a very enjoyable experience. The service was prompt, friendly, and courteous. Although the menu is limited, there are chef’s specials each evening for a little more variety. The food always came out hot and nicely presented.

We had heard great things about the restaurant but could never seem to get a reservation. Now we know why it’s so popular. It was so delicious and the surroundings were fairy tale like. We can’t wait to go back now.

We stayed at the Glen-Ella Springs Inn and Restaurant for a week. It was the best vacation ever. Beautiful location, beautifully run. The food was absolutely amazing. Not only the main dish but the sauces and vegetables were incredible. So many flavors and they went together perfectly. Can't wait to go back (too bad it's a nine hour drive from our home)

It has been quite a while since my husband and I enjoyed a meal prepared, presented, and served this well. Everything about the dining experience was delivered with intentional yet understated sophistication, from the coziness of the room, to the background music, to the plating of the dishes and ultimately the excellent taste of the meal. We like trying a number of dishes so we were glad sharing was permitted. So we started with delicious lump crab cakes and a special salad and finished with beef tenderloin. My husband had never had a risotto patty that good before. For me, kudos go to the grilled beef tenderloin which was the right level of rare and tender. We had planned to finish with the molten chocolate cake, but the portions were too generous, even split, that we had to throw down the napkin and sigh with great satisfaction - no more!! Well done and thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful dinner, excellent service and great ambiance next to the fireplace on a cool evening. Glen-Ella is a little off the beaten track but don't let the gravel road deter you. Road not recommended for low slung vehicles. Leave the Vette at home and take the jeep. Make sure get good driving instructions as navigation can be a challenge especially after dark.

we’re OK but nothing special. Other Clarkesville and Clayton options are much better.

We love Glen Ella, especially dinning on the patio. The gardens and grounds are beautiful, the food is great and the service is fantastic.

We have dined here several times, the food and service are consistently outstanding! Seating on the terrace is lovely overlooking the garden. They honor reservations and special requests.

What a special meal this was - intimate, scenic and delicious! We were seated at the most perfect table, with a front row view of the beautiful garden. Our server was very attentive and the food was great - some of the best crab cakes I've ever had! Reasonable prices overall for the quality of food, especially the bottles of wine.

The food and ambience was great. They gave us the choice to sit inside or out. The menu and wine/beer selection has enough great choices for anyone. Loved it

The food was outstanding. Service was great even during this crazy time. We always enjoy dining here whenever we are up this way.

Outdoor garden seating is lovely. Glenn Ella is a northeast GA go to for us. We appreciated their sensitivity to Concerns guests might have over COVID-19 spread.

Glen Ella Springs is a beautiful setting, that is peaceful and quiet. The food was excellent and our server, Beth, was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at this Inn but there was no reason to leave the property in search of options for dinner. We had dinner both evenings. The food was on par with most of our fine dining favorites in Atlanta and we are definitely part of a healthy foodie culture. The atmosphere of the patio dining is one of a kind though. You are seated outside in the mountains overlooking the dreamy garden scape and served wonderful food. The staff was very careful to offer great service for dining but also careful service for a Covid-19 safe environment for all. We will be looking for excuses to return!

This was a difficult situation because it was a birthday celebration during the Covid-19 pandemic. We canceled other plans and kept getting wonderful info from the Glen Ella so we made dinner reservations and then room reservations and invited friends to join us.
The restaurant took my cake I brought up and refrigerated for us until after the meal and were super accommodating of our concerns on where to sit. The food was so delicious that I ordered the same entree the next evening, something I never do. Great service, ambience and food.

Off the beaten path, but part of the charm and worth the drive. A fabulous dinner in a most charming setting, a quiet, rural mountain retreat.

The Shrimp and grits were different at best with not much flavor. The chalky grits did the dish no favors and the mountain of onion and peppers made a greasy place for the sausage and shrimp to sit atop. The fried green tomatoes has a spicy topping with basil that was a bit overpowering. The service was great and the place lovely except for the roads that were gravel most of the way.

The food was good, but we were expecting more. We did enjoy the baked brie appetizer. We had the steak and snapper entrees. The snapper was not very flavorful. Service was good and the dining area was pleasant and quiet.

We ate outdoors, and the view of the garden was wonderful. Service was great. Loved the grilled red snapper and the crab cakes. Tables were socially distanced and all the staff wore masks, which was great.
