Gourmet & Company is the spot for our Valentine’s Day dinner every year & it never disappoints. While a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area, the quality of the food is second to none and absolutely worth it. We’ve been going here for 7 years and never had anything but a great meal.

We've dined here many times while in JC and it is always a great choice. This time around we had an American wagyu steak and fish as our mains. The fish in particular was outstanding. Service was great as always. This was a Valentine's Day visit for us and it was fairly busy, but they had our table ready and waiting. Highly recommended for excellent JC dining.

We had a party of 8 and wanted to go to a place where we could take our time and enjoy our meal and each other - Gourmet & Company is perfect for this!

This is a great place to go for those special occasions, particularly romantic ones. Quiet, simply-appointed, lower lighting (but not dark) and of course, impeccable food and service. Love the large bar before dinner, enjoyed a wonderful Old-Fashioned there. Dinner was sensational, super-loved the appetizer (off-menu) various aged ham slices and Johnny cakes and wonderful pickled and jellied tastings.
My wife and I enjoyed different steak entrees so full of flavor, tender, perfectly prepared. Our server was fabulous, blondish hair mostly pulled back and she has been there a while and is truly expert on what to recommend and how the dishes are prepared. She greatly improved and already great experience

Without Gourmet and Company, Johnson City would be totally devoid of a truly fine dining experience. From the first course through dessert, the service and food were top notch. The only recommendation for improvement concerns the cheese plate: the slices were generous but the toppings were strong in flavor and liberally applied to the point that the cheese could scarcely be tasted. Putting the condiments on the side would address this issue, allowing the cheese to be the principal focus of the dish.

Great meal on New Year’s Eve

By far my favorite Tri-Cities dining experience.
The food is always amazing, service is always top notch, and the dining area isn’t over-crowded. Great ambiance-White linen and classic touches.
I have never had so much as a less than fantastic dining experience here. Highly recommend!!

Office Holiday Dinner

First time at Gourmet and Company but will not be my last. Service was great and food was outstanding. The only complaint is that it is somewhat loud but that is to be expected with it full of happy customers.

Excellent as always. Food and service were outstanding. Best food in the area hands down.

While it was a lovely lunch overall, the food was not up the usual excellent standards I've come to expect. The fruit salad lacked variety & the bread on my sandwich was burnt on one side, so I was a little disappointed with my meal.

This is the spot to go for high end dining in the Tri-Cities. The menu flips seasonally with new items and staples, and it’s always delicious and made with amazing care. The service has always been top notch. Give it a try if you’re in town, it’s a local gem.

Fabulous menu

The food was good and we sat outside which was nice, there wasn't anything that stood out but it was expensive. Overall a good place but not on my rotation due to the cost to flavor and experience ratio. I have no issues paying $40-50 for an entree if it is worth it, mine wasn't.

Went for a 35th anniversary and we’re very pleased with the ambience, the food and the service. The only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars was because my husband‘s sauce on his steak was a little too much like A1. That being said it was cooked perfectly as well as everything else we ordered. The lobster and scallops were amazing! We made our next reservation to bring out of town guests in a few weeks and will return again and again!

This is such a good restaurant. The chef changes the menu seasonally, and there are great specials in addition to the menu. Good drinks menu and wine selection. Great servers and bar tenders. Check it out. Everything from the burgers to the dry-aged ribeyes to the seafood is expertly prepared. The desserts are wonderful. The lunches are a treat, too.

Always consistently great food. I love this restaurant and also love their store a few doors down. I usually come for lunch, but dinner is divine as well. I highly recommend this place!
