Everything about our experience at The Jefferson Hotel was superb!
Great place for a mature crowd. Food and ambiance was top notch.
Best omelette I’ve ever had. Fantastic service.
Made reservation but still had to wait at least 15 mins and had to ask the staffs 3 times to be seated. Food was expensive, but not as good as expected.
We loved the kindness and attention to detail of the staff. Lovely environment. Great to have natural light.
This place is beautiful! The food was amazing and the prices were reasonable! The service was impeccable!
Fabulous place for a quiet and elegant brunch in an intimate atmosphere. Service was very attentive and food was delicious.
Loved the venue. Loved the service. Am so grateful, thank you very much.
Perfect, very beautiful and classy !! Not expensive at all!! Service is perfect!!!
Simply delightful! Exceptional service, delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. What else can you ask for.
prompt attentive service, great food and THE quiet corner away from all the noise.
Was greeted personally upon arrival
And really inexpensive for all it was
Outstanding place for brunch. Try the lemon ricotta pancakes, the bagels and lox, the Belgian waffles, the pork sausage - we had a large party and must have covered almost everything on the menu. Next time we will try the lobster Benedict and the chicken and waffles. And yes, there will absolutely be a next time. Beautiful setting, wonderful staff. We were surprised that the bill was so long; expected it to be twice as much. We'll definitely be back. Ranks up there with the really high class Four Seasons restaurants, IMHO, for less money.
Great for calming, quiet business lunch. A new go to place for me.
Lunch at the Greenhouse is the best part of any workday.
Amazing breakfast every time we are here. The caviar parfait is a delicious and unique dish. The restaurant is very elegant and the staff is superb.
The avocado toast with egg and radish was divine. Belgian waffle is very good. The coffee is high quality. Delicious sorbet. As always, the atmosphere is lovely. Love this place for breakfast. One of my favorite DC destinations.
Every visit to the Greenhouse is exceptional and it never disappoints - from the service to the food to the beautiful surroundings. Truly my favorite brunch location in DC!
Everything - from the professional friendly hostess to food and tranquility of the place - was excellent.
I have had breakfast there several times. The food is outstanding service impeccable the greenhouse room lovely
The food not as it was from last time we went.
Great food!!!
As my lunch guest put it - "this is civilized dining" ! :)
From ambiance, to professional level of service, to culinary expertise, everything was extraordinary.
Nice but overpriced, service good but hard to know who to ask for refills or the check, I notice they don't have nametags or awards from Relaix and Chateaux they used to have. On the other hand, get a reservation, they will seat you. Decor unmatched in town.
Very disappointed with my brunch experience here! Overpriced and bland food! Can’t believe I paid $12 for a small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice that tasted like cough syrup! Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were horrible...dry and overly sweet. Potatoes were greasy and bland. Unfortunately, the bacon was the best part of the brunch. Service was average, but a little rough around the edges. Ambiance was lovely. However, you can’t eat ambiance. Expected more from this upscale restaurant. Won’t be returning.
Overpriced. Food was very standard, nothing special in the eggs Benedict dish (my date had crab Benedict’s and those were a bit better). Espressos were sub-standard. It’s a nice, quiet place, but not worth $150 for two for breakfast.
Great place for an intimate breakfast. Excellent service and food.
Most excellent.
We had a private room which we didn’t ask for. Our party was 8 plus an infant. We had several attentive waiters. Two diners had special dietary requests to which they were aware of when we arrived. Holiday decor was beautiful; we took several photos. Murals and carved woodwork abound. It had been our favorite bar and hotel for special occasions in Washington, and will now be our favorite restaurant for private dining!
My friend and I went to the Jefferson for lunch/brunch. As always the place was fairly busy. The food was ok - not great! The service was ok - not great! The waiters and servers all looked like they were wearing clothes that did not belong to them! Kind of messy and disheveled.
The rooms at the Greenhouse are great for intimate meals and really pleasant. Just wish the menu was a little more interesting.
Parking in the area is terrible - Valet is 20 bucks! My friend loves this place!
A calm oasis for a memorable brunch. Service was attentive & well done. Food was fabulous. A nice extra touch was a choice of major Sunday papers. Relaxed & unrushed elegant start to the mornings worth the splurge.
Good American food, good European service in traditional atmosphere.
I have one complaint. We had reservations for 1:30. I understand that this is the last time period available for brunch. At about 1:35 we were told that the kitchen would be closing down in a few minutes. We were still waiting for one guest (she arrived a few minutes after 1:35). If reservations are available at 1:30 you must allow enough time for guest to arrive and to view the menu. At that point I felt rushed and unfortunately it did mar our dining experience.
Jorge is a excellent server. He was very attentive!
Especially enjoyed David Bueno, general manager, taking the time to greet me and my guests.
Wonderful Sunday Brunch experience.
Ambiance is definitely 10/10. Great breakfast selection and excellent service!
We had a lovely time- the ambiance was amazing! I can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful atmosphere. Elegant, quiet and pleasant. Wait staff was superb. A tiny pricey but worth it. Food was delicious.
The atmosphere is fitting to the restaurant's name, "The Greenhouse": It was light and airy and decorated with plants and flowers. The table service (and the whole dining experience) is elegant and an indulgence: after being seated, the staff provided me with a cushion on which to place my purse! We had the Sunday brunch: the baked eggs and blueberry French toast were excellent. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely go back the next time I'm in DC!
Everything was amazing. But the waiter was grumpy he did not smile
A lovely, elegant place to dine for lunch or dinner. I asked for a table in one of the alcoves and even though the restaurant was not full we were seated at a table in the main dining room - again since there was little noise we didn't complain.
The roasted chicken salad was delicious - the tomato quiche with feta was a disappointment: tasteless, and dry with a too thick crust. It was accompanied by a small bowl of baby arugula that had seen better days. Overall this is a really nice place to dine - so I"ll be back - I just won't order the quiche.
