I’ve been a regular customer for 10 years but has never had such awful experience! Top start a was automatically charged £100 when I made the booking without being informed. I was asked to provide card details as a security and that I could cancel up to 24 hours in advance! I booked 5 days in advance and they charged £100 straightaway! On arrival I was given a table near the aisle which wasn’t comfortable. There plenty of tables available but when I asked for another table they refused.
Nobody has changed tables even once! When you ordered crispy duck salad in the past the waiter would nicely mix it and serve it for you. This time they just dump the plate on your table and you do this yourself!
Have to say that I’ve had some McDonalds experience at Micheline price!
Very dark. Can't see other guests. The duck is wildly overrated. They threw us in the corner in the basement, very unsatisfied with seats. The waitress Erica was lovely.
They gave our table away as there was some confusion but they quickly rectified this and the alternative we were given was much better. Our server was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and gave great advice on what to select. I would go here again
We felt rushed towards the end of the meal and when you’re paying the prices they charge you shouldn’t feel like you are unable to order another drink or dessert.
Food was fantastic service was poor. Major issue was being rushed 5/10 minutes after sitting down being told our table was reserved after us... talk about making us feel special. Unfortunately made food decisions rushed as we were pressured to choose especially considering the menu is complex with lots of choice. Real shame
One of my very favorite restaurants, we had the Supreme Dim Sum, Soft Shell Crab & of course the Peking Duck. We always have it (only go 3 - 4 times a year) but will never tire of it.
Everything great except the table offered is in the same corner (second visit) that’s not very well lit and sort of towards the service end.
If / when we go there next, I expect to be seated in an area that i would enjoy more.
Hakkasan has long been a favourite, but unfortunately the food quality is not what it used to be - and the prices are even higher than I remember. I wonder if maybe Hakkasan has had its day?
Too expensive and no taste of hakkasan for one person this time
Quality of food has drifted downwards - dim sum was excellent but all other dishes were meh and on a par with a local takeaway.
We chose this restaurant for our twins 18th we chose the pear menu and food was lovely however we felt very rushed we were given a table on the edge of the restaurant and was not made to feel special in any way the waitresses just didnt have time and the sommelier
had a bad odour which was unpleasant the bill was in excess of £1000 and really was not worth it ... will not be returning
Wish I hadn’t bothered. Over rated & over priced. Food was good but flavours felt lacking. Service was terrible, starters came before drinks, I had to send food back just to have a 2 mins between finishing one course & starting another. Full of chavs.
My first experience at Hakkasan for my birthday has been amazing. The staff were very welcoming and polite!
The Food was outstanding! I Will 100% be returning to try other dishes on the menu!!
Great evening. Staff were super attentive and very professional. I would say that the food was a solid 8.5 out of 10. Brilliant but not mind blowingly excellent. It's not great value for money- expect to pay top whack!
Nice restaurant for any occasion. Staff are always super friendly and helpful especially the black waiter. Food is h favourite out of many Michelin restaurants that I go to
Staff at the doors shamelessly disinforming the customers. One of them stated that I was already gone and left my husband, while I was all the time of 2 minutes in the restroom. This caused a major disruption in our evening. She ruined our time there.
Plum Blossom set menu for 2 -
Fish inedibly sweet, beef was too chewy, chicken breast was dry but the curry sauce was nice, crab was absolutely tasteless. Dessert consisted of ice cream covered in rice crispies, while we were urged to leave our table for the next party as these arrived. Even at a standard restaurant this would be absolutely underwhelming, but at the price they charged this was completely angering and would have rather left and paid the £100 fee than spend upwards of £200 on tasteless food.
Delicious Chinese food in a stunning setting. Feel like James Bond on an evening off, but the feeling doesn’t come cheap.
