Excellent view and service, good dishes, mostly did apps and drinks but it was nice
The Tuesday special we had was the halibut fish tacos. A little plain in seasoning especially when matched with very bland taro chips. So just okay on the tacos, but the outdoor dining views were great. Service was good, no issues.
Ribeye was dry for the value
Harbor House, had a wonderful view of the ocean. However, the food was not all that great, especially for the price.
The service was exceptional and so was the food. Plan on going there again on our next visit.
We had a 8pm Sunday reservation post COVID reopening and only had two other tables in the restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was awesome. We had the 5 layer Ahi as an appetizer, shared a bowl of She-Crab soup, and had the Cioppino and Seafood Linguini. We had a couple of the drink specials which were quite tasty. Only downside was the price, coming in right at $200 once tip, Tax, and COVID surcharge was added in. Everything besides that was most excellent!
Everything was perfect, the food, the service, even the place vibes. I loved the restaurant.
My wife and I had dinner at Harbor House on June 27, 2020, to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. Although we did not tell the wait staff about our special day; we had a great evening starting tables out in the patio set up for social distancing and all staff wearing face masks. The food was excellent starting from the Calamari appetizer, Grilled Shrimp Taco, Seafood Linguine and Cheesecake for dessert. The service was prompt and friendly; place clean and cozy. The view was amazing. Overall, we had a wonderful, memorable anniversary celebrations!
The food was awesome as usual. Definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive.
Excellent service, food, background music and view!
Good place to eat. Service was good had one issue and immediately was handled professionally.
Very unhappy with the Food being over priced for the amount. We had to keep asking for plates to eat the appetizers on and had to eat COLD food when they were hot items. When received the check we were surprised to see a 3% covid change and when asked the server about it she said we had to pay it and I asked to speak to her supervisor and she grabbed a menu to say it’s on the menu on the bottom and we have to pay it no matter what.
This is completely unacceptable our bill was $554.68 and that by far was a RIP OFF!!!
Service was not good. Appetizer were COLD and more so having to wait to flag down a server or buser to bring plates. Food was way OVER PRICED and then we were not aware of the 3% covid fee and tried to talk to a supervisor and shut down and told we had to pay no matter what!
Never again will we go to this Restaurant again! We had asked for a Supervisor to discuss this issue and he was not available the worst customer service ever!!!
Amazing view! Food prices are a bit pricey. 22$ for tacos but the view alone was perfect. Our server Dani was amazing! And our pictures were a nice surprise. Overall amazing
Food is always good and there and our visit was not different but our food was not hot, it was cold. We did not send t back we just didnt want more people touching our food, plates with COVID-19 going on
It was a relaxing evening with my wife and we enjoyed ourselves
Service was great
Reservations were easy and the happy hour of oysters , ahrip cocktail and the margaritas were excellent!!! Our server Rachel (I think that's her name) was amazing!! The host at the entrance was super nice and cute!! Thanks again for a memorable afternoon overlooking the marina!!
7 adults and 2 children under 3 years - ambience was great, staff was lovely and food was amazing!!
We are from Florida and have much better seafood. I honestly thought California would have wonderful seafood and I was severely disappointed. The price did not match quality.
Location is optimal, beautiful setting within walking distance of a number of hotels. Prices are great and selections are plentiful. The food was good and portions were large. Overall a good experience and i would likely go back. There are much more opulent options available nearby, but if you are looking for a good meal at a decent price, this is a great option.
Flew in from PA for work with my girlfriend and made a reservation based on reviews. Seemed to have good food and the views. However, we were sadly disappointed. In and out under 40 minutes. Both of us only finished about 1/3rd of our food, over priced dishes, bland food, and service was just horrible. I would rather get food at a gas station then to come back here. This is my first negative post about any restaurant. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. Honestly, highly upset about our experience and food quality.
Great service very nice ambiance delicious food....recommend
We had a great first time dining at the Harbor House. From the hostess to our server, the service was excellent. The food came out quickly and they were very attentive. We had a great table with a beautiful sunset view.
Minus one small star for the prices. However, considering the area and views from the restaurant, it was sort of expected. The kids salmon was $17...more than I’ve ever paid for a kids meal...but it was fresh, delicious and the kid was happy, so what are you gonna do?
We will definitely be back again for brunch or dinner.
Our waitress was absolutely terrible. The only thing worse was the food. They should have bee $10 a plate not $40 for the quality they were. I dont think there are any spices in that kitchen. My food came out steaming hot, my partners was ice cold.
Seated immediately. Exceptionally friendly waitress. Limited wine selection. Very well prepared Mahi Mahi. My dinner companion didn’t like the amount of red chili flakes in the scampi, but overall a very nice meal and experience. I’d go here again on a future visit. Noise level was low, so perfect for conversation. First floor was closed, so only experienced the upper floor.
We had a lovely view of the harbor and a lovely meal, however, it took over 45 minutes to get our entree AFTER we had finished our appetizer. The prime rib was mostly fat. Everything else was quite good, especially the lobster bisque.
We always enjoy. From the service to the food.
They had a great Valentine’s Day special. 4 course meal with lots of great selections at a good price. Hostess, waiter, and runners were very friendly.
Excellent food and the staff was second to none. We hung out at the bar and talked with the bartender Diana, she was a blast. When we went to our table our waiter was friendly, attentive, and very precise. Had such a good time we went back to the bar after dinner. Loved the place!
First time there. Absolutely fantastic experience. Couldn’t recommend it more highly. Will definitely go again and would be great for anything from a casual meal to an important occasion. You can’t go wrong.
Reserved days ahead, requesting table with view
Upon arrival, no record of my reservation.
Did manage to secure a table
Oysters-shells were open luckily 😃
Muscle was not detached from the shell.
Needless to say will not be returning.
Thanks to server TrillionAnne, she made the experience tolerable with her great personality.
I am not sure I would recommend. I asked for a great table with a view in my reservations. It was a warm day. We were given an exterior table. No assists with moving of the umbrella to help with the sun. We asked to come inside instead to a better environment and our server seemed bothered. We waited a long time for our drinks and a side of lemons. The photographer had to go get our lemons and did it within minutes actually seconds. We had to continue to order items with other staff members.
Nice environment. The Paella perhaps not the best choice for this restaurant was ok. The general dish was too liquid. Perhaps smaller portion and better types of seafood-- Prawns not tiny shrimp.. etc.
Wine pours were generous
The food was absolutely amazing!!! Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic!!
The service was outstanding! We had a lovely table looking out onto the bay. Our server, Manuel, was excellent. The food was very good, including calamari, crab cakes, fish tacos, and clam chowder. The only letdown was the Ahi Tuna. The teriyaki sauce obscured the taste of the fish. Desserts of melted lava cake and creme brûlée were delicious.
Oysters weren’t as cold as I wished. No one explained the variety of oysters so it was a mystery. Ordered grilled halibut and it came out with no seasoning, no butter, and steamed squash. Very blah.
Average food, busy with slow service. Touristy
Beautiful view and window seat. Staff was friendly and promptly. Food was good. Fish tacos were heavy on toppings and overpowered the fish. Bread was excellent.
Just OK. View of the bay was the reason we selected this restaurant— that was nice. The food was just average and the wine list was poor.
Really disappointed in this meal. Would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Food was below average, the waiter had no personality. The prices were too high for the quality.
New Year’s Dinner
Beautiful location and views. Service was great.
The quality of the food could have better considering the cost.
