Hard Rock Cafe - Mall of America

They advertise that kids eat free Monday-Friday when an adult entree was ordered. When I received my bill the kids meals were on the bill, I had to ask for it to be removed. Service was slow. Parts of the meal were delivered after our lunches already showed up.

The staff went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration amazing... The bar staff, wait staff and management all top notch!

Great place loved the atmosphere and our waitress was awesome!

Hard Rock was pretty average. Nothing really special. This was our first time dining at this place and for a Friday night it was pretty empty but the noise level was extremely high. Our server seemed stressed and rushed which made us feel rushed. The food was hot but average tasting. This restaurant advertises "kids eat free" but when each burger entree was at least 25 dollars do the kids reeeeeally eat free? 🤷‍♀️ The only cool part was the kids meals were served on guitar plates. I was a little jealous that I didn't have a guitar plate. 😁 Out of all the dining choices at the MOA, I won't be missing this place or visiting again.

My daughters birthday

We were at Mall of America celebrating daughter’s 8th birthday. We went on rides and stopped at a few shops. Hard Rock Cafe is one of her favorite places to eat. We used to go often on Tuesdays when she was younger for Toddler Tuesdays at the Mall where Hard Rock participated in free kids meal. My daughter loves the guitar plates for kids entrees. She has been able to see live music here. We have sat by the stage for lunch during a previous visit and the kids where allowed to “play” on stage with the microphone stands pretending they were singers and the drums. Big hit!

The staff was super friendly and the food was great! They did a birthday shoutout for my daughter and she really enjoyed that!

Second time back in Minneapolis visiting and coming here to eat! It was amazing as always. The staff is so nice and the food was awesome. My husband and I love coming in every time We are in town! This is one of the best hard rocks we have been to service wise!

Would love to see live music here, even a local acts on certain nights of the week.

I expected more & was disappointed with the majority of our experience. Other than the historical music pieces, this place wasn't anything more than an average, at best, restaurant. Made dinner reservations, 6 person party = a $150 bill. Overpriced & average food, we've had better food at "lesser" revered restaurants. We had another reservation earlier in the day at the MOA, & that experience was bar far superior to this one in every category. Server did the bare minimum to accommodate our party. Overall, I was disappointed with making the reservation & wished we would have gone somewhere else or even started heading home. Not too much memorial for our family vacation w at this restaurant. Probably won't be back.

Mac and cheese was ice cold and disgusting. Chicken fingers/ tenders were hard and fatty. Table was dirty and sticky, napkins looked used, silverware dirty and a dirty glass on our table. Messed up my order and took forever to bring the right thing. Waitress was kind and was doing her best but the overall service and food arrival was painfully slow. Price for food was way to high for the quality.

We had a reservation and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Server was very attentive and food was great!

Hostess seemed to be bothered by patrons. Server was on point! We were told what my wife ordered was not available after a wait. She made a different choice but my meal sat long enough, in the kitchen, to get cold and soggy.
Mall of America has plenty of children as expected. I did not expect children to be yelling across the dining area from outside the establishment. (Not HR’s fault but it should give you an idea of what to expect.)

I have never been to a Hard Rock Cafe before, so I thought it would be a fun place to be for a teenage birthday party. Food was really just ok, salad did not feel fresh, and the rest of the food was typical burger food, not bad , but not great. Service was ok, slow and the server missed two whole meals (to their credit, they compensated us back for one, and provided the other one late).

Friendly staff good food. The kids meal served on a guitar was a hit. The desert was really good too.

We waited for your for food and the chefs gave our food to someone else, causing use to wait longer. So we didn't leave a tip. Poor service.

The service here is amazing and the staff and management is Awesome

Kinda of disapointed having to sit outside and listen to a bunch of kids screaming on date night, but everything else was really good!

Burgers were good. Shrimp fajitas were not. Shrimp tasted bad, hard fajita shell, toppings were not fresh. Waiter was great. Cool atmosphere but disappointed in the food.

Only complaint is the prices are quite a bit highly for the small amount you get! Taste was good but burger was $17 and the equivalent of a double cheeseburger from mc donalds. Much better restaurants in the mall that are MUCH more reasonable

The dining experience was a good one, this visit to Hard Rock Cafe was very good. My only complaint that I have; is that my girlfriend said she saw a mouse run across the floor of the restaurant on the dinning room floor. It should be noted that this was a way away from where we were sitting.

Not a good value. When a burger costs $18+, that's pretty crazy. Of course you would pay more for a more expensive cut of meat, but nothing on the menu was less than $15 and it just wasn't that great. You are paying for the experience and it's really no different than any other restaurant.

Made reservations and check in was a breeze and friendly. Hostess was nice and our server was great as well. Food was tasty.

Fun place to eat. Good options on the menu and was family friendly.

Service was awesome! My girlfriend and I were in a hurry, I had to go get a ride I had set up with Metro Mobility and she was late. I was very impressed with how well the Hard Rock Cafe - Mall of America staff were very helpful to us as we were quite rushed. They gave us both dogie bags, which made us both feel valued.

We were sat near the mall and it was so noisey. Are table was wobbly and not super clean. The restaurant overall wasn’t really clean. Server only checked on us twice. Prices for the quality of good were steep.

The Service at the hard rock is very very good and all the workers are amazing even the managers that work here I would recommend it to everyone that is visiting mn

High price for the amount of food you get. Drinks are expensive.

We had 24 people for dinner end they fed everyone in 90 mins! Katie did an amazing job

The food was ok, our server did a great job. We reserved our party of 8 online and ended up being seated in 2 separate booths which was frustrating.

We wanted to take our music loving, elementary aged son here to see the rock memorabilia while at the MOA. There is very little memorabilia. The whole place is so generic and bland. I can't figure out if the Hard Rock of my youth was so much better or if I just thought it was. Either way...eh. Pass.

The food was awful. My husband said his club sandwich was fine. I had a Cobb Salad that had grilled chicken on it that was hard as a rock and ice cold. If you're going to serve cold chicken breast on a salad as opposed to freshly cooked, at least make sure it isn't dry, hard and bland. My son had the kids cheese pizza. As a kid...he loves pizza and is really not pick about pizza. (He loves Domino's...I rest my case). He wasn't eating at and when I asked why, he said it was too 'squishy'. I took a bite...it was practically raw...the 'crust' was so soft and mushy with TONS of cheese on it...he ate his fries and that was it.

The shining light on our experience was our waiter. I wish I could remember his name to give him kudos. His skills are deserved elsewhere...I hope he knows he could make lots of money in a joint where the food was edible. He was attentive, prompt, super friendly and I tipped him to reflect the experience we had with him...not at the restaurant in general.

Though there was a mistake with the reservation on the websites end, the workers were very quick to adjust the mistake and get us seated! Our server was wonderful and was an amazing representation of the Hard Rock Cafe. I have been to one or two other locations, but this one was by far my most memorable. People were friendly, food was good, it did the job.

The food was great although it took about 45 min to get it.

Overpriced & it was empty. Our server, who was very nice, took forever to take our order & would disappear. No one took away our plates, so we sat there talking with dirty plates in front of us. The food was ok & overpriced. $18 for veggie fajita is ridiculous! The staff was nice to accommodate our group & my daughter, who is in a wheelchair, but there is NO CHANGING TABLE FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD IN THE BATHROOM! And it was our daughter's 8th birthday & none of the staff acknowledged it & didn't even get a birthday dessert!!! Will not return.

Great staff great food and memorabilia. Always enjoy the food and atmosphere at the Hard Rock Cafe. Would definitely recommend.

After my first experience back in April of last year, I did recommend it because it was amazing, but after last time I would have to say no, the staff in the front were very rude when me and my mom were talking to them and there were not a lot of tables with people but they were larger groups and there was only one waiter around and he seemed very overwhelmed and unattentive because of such. The food was mediocre for most of my family because it was either cold or burnt. I do not make a lot of bad reviews but this was very disappointing.

Good food and service

First of all who (chef) puts kale on a cobb salad. It can't be cut so I had to pull it all off which left me with some spinach. My husband got on impossible burger and said it was not tasty. We were there on New Years Eve and it was horribly noisy and just an overall bad day. Sorry I just don't like your restaurant.

There was a 30 min wait for walk ups, but I could make reservations and get in right away.

Service was terribly slow. Food was not good. Only positive was kids ate free, although our daughter could not choke down half of her food.

Male host had silverware in his hand and wiped his nose with his hand! That should have been my clue to leave. No kids menus or crayons when you are offering kids eat free?? Wait for food was very long. Food was not prepared as ordered. Very unorganized unprofessional workers. No desire to return to this restaurant.
