Loud, poor service, and the food was average, at best.

Used to be always consistent, never a bad meal to be had. Things have changed and now seems to be hit or miss. Hopefully management can address the challenges and improve. we love the staff and ambiance and will continue to visit

One of our favorite restaurants on the water. We had reservations - table was ready - ate in main room by fireplace. Tables are spaced out with plastic dividers between them - server - Josh - wore a mask as did all staff. Bar has no seats at all. The 4 of us were very happy with the service and our meals. Pork chop - excellent. Scallops - perfectly cooked - and the eggplant parm special was delicious - enough for two meals. Nice to have an option since I am a vegetarian. Dessert was the banana cake - perfect way to end the meal. We felt safe, comfortable, there was a musician tucked in the corner playing a guitar - felt like normal! Thank you!

our server, Paul, was very attentive. He had on target suggestions. The food was delicious and well seasoned with nice sized portions.

Great place year round. Summer time is better with the outdoor dining and view of the Manasquan River. Menu had many choices and specialized in seafood dishes. There was plenty to choose from for all tastes. I look forward to returning to try other tasty items and enjoy the ambience in the restaurant.

My friend and I got roasted clams as an appy. Clams were huge and tough, more like chowder clams. We only ate a couple of them. When the waiter asked how they were, we voiced our dissatisfaction with them. And when what I believe was a manager helping out took the dish away with almost all of them still there, we again voiced our dissatisfaction. No reaction or apology. We shared the Lobster Fennel Salad, not very much lobster, but the salad was good. It took 2 tries for me to get some additional red wine vinegar (he brought balsamic first). Also, I understand that salt and pepper shakers are no longer put on the table, but my friend was done with her salad before I could get the vinegar that I requested and some salt and pepper. Pretty disappointed overall and reinforced why we stopped going there a while ago.

Vastly different than my experience in the summer here. Food was inedible. Burger was charred to a crisp. Shrimp appetizer special was off. Our server was also the host and it was busy so obviously we didn’t get much attention.
I hope they can get their act together because we like to support our local restaurants. And they have a nice location and cozy setting inside.

Great send-off with friend heading to FL but Tyler/waiter needs to start enjoying the job or move on...EVERYTHING bothers him ... we’ve had him before and NO did not comment last time which was in Sept !!!

He is lazy - did not give us an actual bilk so no way of cking if charges correct or if HH/drink specials (w/Prime Rib) applied ... .... If that gadget you use for cr cards had a 15% option that’s what he would have gotten 🥴

WE have been going to Harpoon Willy's for years and it is always outstanding. We highly recommend it, because of its great food and warm environment.

Service was very good and we went on a Tuesday night. Scallops and Short Rib dinner were delicious. Fireplace made it cozy. They have taken great effort to make things socially distant. Recommend!!

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress was very attentive and the smaller menu had something for everyone. I especially liked their daily specials.

Always a favorite. Great service, lots of precautions taken for Covid, and our lunch shrimp specials were delish and well priced!!

This is our "local" and it is like a second home for me and my crew. We love the Brussels Sprouts with Parmesan Cheese and Bacon (great appetizer to share) The SoCal Burger is my favorite with Sweet Potato Fries. I love the Sesame Crusted Tuna with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes. They have Elouan Pinot Noir by the Glass. Love their roaring Fireplace this time of year!

Plexiglass partitions add echo but try to keep you safer. Loud as a result. However, food and service as wonderful as always

In the late fall of Covid, I was treated to a beautiful evening dinner. The patio lights illuminated the night and the laughter for tables peppered our own conversation. The waiter was fun, and our food was served quickly. The shrimp cocktail wasn't memorable but my burger was the best. The accompanying coleslaw was lightly delightful. I look forward to returning when I can take advantage o the warmth of the interior.

Love the ambiance and they did a really great job with customer protection. Food was just so so. They are known for their burgers, and we opted for fish instead.

Went with friends for dinner. For my wife and I, the ribeye steak special for $34 was tough to chew and the halibut was dry (probably frozen). The drinks were good, but a bit pricey as is the entire menu for tavern fare. Nice ambiance and very good service.
