Chilly but we were accommodated with a table near a heater. The young woman moved us. Thank you!
Service fine but we would have liked to have our orders taken sooner.
Another fine meal. Sat inside this time. Tables and booths are spaced far apart for protocols. It all felt very safe.
Terrific outside dining. Safe, distant, umbrellas and heaters— and no busses.
Staff super nice but not intrusive.
On top of that the food was good— interesting without being weird, and reasonably sized portions.
Just hoping too many people do not read this, so I can get a table there again.
Henrietta's Table has always offered our favorite breakfast, so it's especially gratifying to know that we can have a wonderful, leisurely, delicious, and SAFE experience on the back patio. During these challenging times, we truly appreciate everyone there who continues to make this a special experience.
To date, I’ve always had a great and reliable experience at Henriettas Table. Unfortunately that was not the case yesterday. We had a beautiful table outside but the food was mediocre and the service was poor. Our meals arrived before our drinks. Our server never returned to check on us, the menu was very limited, and we had to ask the host ( who was standing directly next to our table) to find our server. We also had to flag down another server to get the check. It was disappointing.
Horrible experience. We had a reservation, and we specified "outdoor seating only". When we arrived at the correct time, we were told there were no seats outdoors, and we were welcome to sit indoors. The hostess was overwhelmed, but the net effect was rudeness and a refusal to serve us.
We asked to talk to the manager, and then the chef called us, but they were not willing to make it up to us in any way, and didn't even apologize.
It was a very quiet and sort of empty restaurant. Everything was delicious with great service. Sorry for the slow business.
We have been to Henrietta's many times in the past and loved it. The staff was great and the social distancing was great. But I don't know if they got a new chef or had to let go of the old one- because the pot roast I had was dried out and the gravy tasted like an over salted bullion cube, no depth of flavors. My friend has the roast chicken because I said it was great, I think she was ok with it. I hope that when COVID is over, Henrietta's will go back to the amazing impressive food we have had previously. I can't fault the service it was excellent. But I think things were just phoned in- and I was hoping for the same deep built sauces and excellent tasty meat of pre-covid. Cocktails were also very good. I hate to write a bad review but I hope this inspires them to know people care about Henrietta's and want to see it around for a long time.
Used to be reliably good, well-prepared food and excellent service.
On our most recent visit, we had a few surprises. 'Romaine salad with creamy garlic dressing' was actually a Caesar, loaded with anchovy paste in the dressing. This is fine, but the menu should be more clear. A vegetarian in our party ordered this, since it was not labeled as 'Caesar'; we realized once it arrived that it was not vegetarian. Replaced with a different salad that did not come out until everyone else was finished. For the main, the same vegetarian ordered the grain bowl with tofu. Runner dropped the plates and left. We immediately realized he'd delivered a grain bowl with chicken. By the time we could flag down the server and wait for the meal to be re-made, everyone else was completely finished. No attempt was made to compensate for either of these problems. Another diner ordered the steak of the night, a 'sirloin' -- was fatty and tough -- and for the price should have been a proper NY strip.
Next time we'll go to Benedetto instead, which is right next door, and much better food for a similar price.
Our food was outstanding.
Not enough vegan options/accommodations, if any. Offering fruit plate as the vegan breakfast was disappointing to say the least.
Great outdoor dining. Hopefully they’ll have gas lamps so they can continue into the colder weather.
First the good news. The food was excellent. They make their own bread and its wonderful. I very much enjoyed my breakfast on the patio. The flowers and vegetable garden was so pretty. However, although I heard people getting great service experiences around me, my service experience did NOT meet the level of food. My waitress was MIA and when she was around she was borderline rude. So disappointing! Silvia needs some time off or to just take it down a notch. I'm pulling for her.
Everything was amazing! Incredible, high quality food at great value. Perfectly balanced cocktails. The yankee pot roast and the pumpkin cheesecake were out of this world. 12/10 would recommend
The outdoor patio is a favorite location for its casual ambiance and always good food
Wonderful food and great staff. Have become quite a regular
In the age of Covid, there are only so many places that can work well for outdoor eating with excellent food, a lovely setting, and a relaxed, safe atmosphere. Henrietta's Table on the patio is one of the best. Our service today was a bit scattered, but everything else made up for it for my breakfast birthday celebration.
The food was very tasty, vegetable wrap and salmon burger. The sides are extra, roasted potatoes and cauliflower were excellent. Lots of local beer selections. Almost each table (outside) has a heater which makes very pleasant to eat outside on cold evenings.
Delicious food ! We enjoyed breakfast on the beautiful patio and will come again soon!
Food has become boring!! A new menu! Soups the same entre the same!! Look if you want to compete change it. Pot Roast Bowl, fish, chicken, change it!
It’s absolutely wonderful, especially the service and the bacon. And it’s expensive.
great place for outdoor dining. nicely set up and warm
love this restaurant- great combination of service ,ambiance, and excellent food. Heat lamps and blankets are a real plus!
My nephew and i went their for lunch and the service was wonderful (forgot his name however he is from the Philippines) and very attentive and the food was alright (i had the Lobster sauce) it was ok he had a like Turkey sandwich and he said "He liked it" so all in all it was ok.
Ate on the patio near a heat lamp in late Sept - wonderful! We both had swordfish, which we normally don't order as most restaurants serve them to dry. These were PERFECT and delicious. Waiters were perfectly attentive without being intrusive.
A very pleasant and reliable spot, good food, good service. The atmosphere being a bit off isnt their fault, its just weird social distancing.
Henrietta’s has adjusted quite well to the COVID era. As always the food is well-prepared from fresh ingredients.
Iiiiiiiiiittttttt wwwwaaaaassssssss ggggggggggoooooooodddddddd.
I visited Henrietta's for lunch on two consecutive days. The indoor dining has always given me a sense of relaxed well-being, and the outdoor space offered at least some of that, albeit in muted form. As always the service was attentive but never fawning. As always, the cranberry. bread was a delight. As always, the corn and crab chowder was superbly rich and flavorful. Unfortunately one of my favorites--the grilled portobella with greens and a nutty balsamic dressing--is no longer on the menu. I tried the romaine salad, which was good but not great. Perhaps overdressed, with a cheese wanting in flavor vs. the dressing, but definitely the "deviled egg spread" heaped on the side of the bowl is NOT a good idea. First it is generically not a good idea. to mix a. deviled yoke with the whites of a hard-boiled egg and turn it into a spread, since unless the yoke is very spicy, the whites will dominate (as it did in this instance. Second: the flavor and texture to not serve to complement or even contrast with the rest of the salad. It just does not belong. The service was, again, very attentive and thoughtful; the ambience lived up to the expectation.
We sat out on the patio. Had to search for our waiter. He got the order wrong. He was not attentive. We were told that if we parked in the garage and had our ticket validated the parking would be free. They actually took $2.00 off and it cost us $22.00 to park for 1 1/2 hours. The food was delicious and the ambiance was awesome but it was not a very good experience and we would not return.
Lunch alfresco with daughter and son in law. Excellent.
Seated outside and va comfortable distance from other diners. First class service for friendly staff, creative seasonal cocktails and the best home-made bread around. Has always been a Harvard Square favorite of mine.
Henrietta’s has done a wonderful job of adapting to the COVID-19 restrictions. The food is as good as ever, and the service relaxed and responsive.
Two of us both got the Swordfish special... It was not very good. The swordfish was over cooked and very dry....
I was disappointed... I've good experiences in the past, but this was not good...and it cost $26.
Dinner with friend. Staff entirely accommodating.
Perfect outdoor dining experience. Average food
We love it! The smashed cucumbers continue to be a summer treat.
Very eager to come back soon. hope weather holds until december!!!
Henrietta’s is the best breakfast spot in Boston. So many delicious, homemade options, as well as normal breakfast staples. French toast is my all-time favorite. Beautiful patio setting during COVID. Can’t recommend enough.
Delicious brunch crummy service.
