   Food came out burned. Service was great - our server did everything to help alleviate the situation. I went to Herbie and Balabans for YEARS in the CWE. This was just not the same. So very disappointing

   I was really disappointed with this restaurant given the positive press and reviews. Our server took our order then brought sparkling water with ice cubes when I said we didn’t want ice cubes, he poured the ice cubes into a planter and handed us our glasses back. I ordered Caesar salad with shrimp. The woman that brought my salad to me said a shrimp had slid off my plate and fallen to the floor and she would go back to her another shrimp.. The shrimp were as cold as an ice cube with no taste. The waiter never stopped by to ask how our meal was and also failed to ask us if we’d like more sparkling water bottles. We have eaten at a lot of fine dining restaurants in the area and this is the first that was a negative experience. Just a weird dinner!

   Service was slow because they were short staffed. Waited a while after receiving water and the server asked us what we wanted for drinks, however she forgot to bring us a drink menu. We ordered a charcuterie board as an appetizer however she forgot to include any knives for the spreads. The service was so slow that we had to rescind our dessert order because we ran out of town before our concert after allotting an hour and 45 mins for dinner. The food itself was excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Malbec she ordered as well as her filet. My scallops were prepared perfectly. However for the prices we were charged I could recommend other fine establishments. We dined outside and enjoyed amazing weather. The overall experience was slightly below satisfactory and for the price we probably won’t visit Herbie’s again.

   Went for Mother's Day. Expected the normal menu but they has the brunch menu. Brunch menu was ok. Food wasn't really hot, taste was ok. Cheesecake was phenomenal!

    First time, it was ok, way too loud and the server was hard to hear. The food was pretty good, not sure how pickled onion is the only onion but ok. I’d go back again but there are better Clayton options

    We went in for brunch around noon, it was fairly quiet which was very nice. I ordered the Tenderloin Hash although I will admit I did change a few components and for good reasons. I subbed the sunny side-up egg for a poached egg, I prefer the velvety texture of a poached egg over any other preparation. Also I subbed the aioli for hollandaise because honestly why would you put mayo on a hash like this and not add a crostini if you we’re going to add mayo 🤨. Anyway the Bellini was excellent, now back to the dish it self. The I could tell it had been sitting under the heat lamp because the garnished arugula was wilted, the smeared dollop of hollandaise was crusting over but I digress. The egg was perfectly poached, the potatoes although a great idea I wish the kitchen would have taken the time to follow through to actually make them crispy. The tenderloin was tender but not seasoned. There were random large chunks of garlic that weren’t cooked through, and I love garlic. As for the hollandaise it was EXTREMELY SALTY 😩, literally it was about the only thing that was seasoned and overly so that I had to ask for lemon slices to cut the salt. The service was good the I believe our waiter’s name was Dave (I could be wrong). He was an older gentleman very nice, communicative, personable, & attentive. I’m not sure about brunch maybe I’ll just stick to dinner or lunch here.

    That was some of the worst food I’ve had in awhile. Scrambled eggs that are served looking more like a dry omelet? A completely burnt biscuit. Toast that was grey from an unclean toaster. Even our server said “yea it’s hit or miss these days with brunch”. Don’t waste your time or money here. It used to be great but things have changed.

    My bistro steak, entrée was not edible. The steak was a low quality and poorly prepared My wife’s shrimp cocktail, which was her main course consisted of mushy shrimp. Our server was not knowledgeable or professional. Our salad course was fine. We should’ve stopped at one course going elsewhere for our main courses.

    A busy night overwhelmed the staff. Service was slow, 45 minute wait for our salads. My wife’s order was wrong (salmon instead of fillet), then wrong again (another steak, not the fillet), and served rare rather than medium well as ordered. Side order was also incorrect and served cold (mashed potatoes). We have eaten at Herbie’s many times and always had at least satisfactory experiences. This was truly bad, and hopefully an anomaly.

    We have dined at Herbies numerous times, however, our experience this time was not good. We had an early dinner reservation. The restaurant was virtually empty. The hostess seated us at a banquet table in the corner in an area that a dimly lit. Our waitress was pleasant but not very attentive. The meal was average at best. My french fried potatoes were very good but the quantity was overwhelming. My steak was tough and not very flavorful. It will be awhile before I return to Herbies.

    The limited brunch menu was disappointing but good. It took almost an hour to get our food. Our server was very attentive and apologetic said they were very busy. I guess, that was to be expected on Easter Sunday. The ambience was lovely and everyone was friendly.

    Service was not good. Took a long time to receive good. Food/plates were almost thrown on table and servers quickly left. Waitress disappeared for a very long time. I think she totally forgot about us. Food was average at best. Disappointing experience.

    I took a friend to brunch for her birthday. The service was very good and the food was delicious. I would have given 5 stars, but some items seem overpriced. So consider this a 4.5 rating, and I would go again and recommend for special occasions.

    Busy Friday night at Herbie’s. We started with drinks in the bar and then had dinner in their newly renovated dining room. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. We had the escargot and truffle fries to begin. Both were great. My wife had the scallops and I had the dry aged strip steak. We were blown away by our food. Incredible! We will be back soon and can’t wait to bring our friends!

    We had a reservation for a table in the dining room but was having such a nice time at the bar we stayed there and had dinner. We tried the new Rigatoni and Scallops.. both delicious. We had bread pudding and chocolate tort for dessert. If you like espresso martinis you will love this one. The new dining room look very nice and inviting. We’ll definitely be back for brunch on the patio.

    While the renovated restaurant is pleasing to the eye, the acoustics are terrible. We were there for lunch on Saturday and the restaurant was noisy. This is not appealing and we will likely seek other venues for dining in the future, despite the food and service being high quality.

    First time at Herbie’s and had a wonderful experience. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and we decided to sit in the bar, he’s a sports guy and the bartender was great, very attentive and actually greeted us with a glass of bubbly when he heard it was my boyfriends birthday. The appetizers were delicious that we ordered, chopped salad was good…should have split it, it was big and our entrees were so good. Definitely will be coming back and can’t wait for patio season!

    They need to expand the brunch menu. How can you make Banana French toast, but not regular French toast and being charged $9 for a side of liqueur is beyond crazy.

    Food was mediocre. Came an hour early for brunch reservation and was seated promptly. The table we received was small and in the corner. Not that big of a deal because there was only two of us. However, it was right by the high traffic kitchen/bar area which was a nightmare. They didn’t have any french toast which was a bummer. The ambience was not as it’s portrayed on social media which was a huge let down. I can say I went but definitely don’t have to go back.
