We offer two special private rooms. One is called "Ozashiki" which is a very nice Japanese style private room, and yes, you will be asked to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. It will be held many functions for up to 16. If you have a great birthday or family party, "Ozashiki" will be the best fit for you. If you need to impress your clients, we have another private dining room. It will be held up to 11 people and available for the business meeting. Also, this private room is perfect for your family event. It's really comfortable, so you will be relaxed with your family. Very much enjoyed the entire meal, food was excellent, service was superb. The waitress was really bubbly and fun, and gave great recommendations. A friendly warm atmosphere, and easy to converse as there was no significant ambient noise. A truly delightful meal.

Overall good food but service was super slow with 3 servers in a small area. A couple dishes were nearly cold which means they sat in the window a while waiting on servers to deliver. May try it again because sushi was good.

I am usually a huge fan of this restaurant; however, my experience was lacking on my last visit. It took almost a full hour to get my sushi order and when it did come at least 4 pieces I ordered were missing. Service was dismal. And they were not busy. I was the first arrival and the first order. Just not up to the usual standards of this establishment. Very disappointing!

Best authentic sushi restaurant in town hands-down. Sushi was very fresh with correct proportion of fish to rice. Ika Yaki (whole grilled calamari) is always a favorite and only place in Louisville that I’ve seen it served.

Food was really good but surprised the sushi came out 15 minutes after the ramen, which was excellent by the way. Normally it’s the other way around.. server was not very pleasant and not aware of what they’re out of. Kept coming back because they were out of certain wines. Only came to this Hiko a mon because the downtown location closed and had a great dining experience there. Not worth the money though :/

This was my first time here and I loved it! I got the crunch munch roll and the ahi tuna avocado Caesar salad. I also ate off plates my family had for dinner as well. They were delicious. I love any Asian cuisine, which hiko-A-mon is a restaurant I’ll go back to again in the future.

Waiter was a bit rushed and it was hard to relax. He came to the table several times asking about ordering and then at the end about the check and then asked if we had paid. Not sure if he was new or nervous but it just was a bit more rushed than normal dinning out experience. Food was great and Sushi was really good

I love the salad, tempura, and sushi here, but honestly how can chicken teriyaki be SO bad. I have yet to find good teriyaki in Louisville ( none of it is close to authentic) but the teriyaki at Hiko is just plain bad. It’s a shame because almost all of their other food is outstanding.

Will not be returning. Plan to be here a long while if you eat here. We ordered and waited over 45 minutes for our sushi to come out. The food was overpriced and very small in portions. If I am paying that much for a meal, I expect to be somewhat full afterwards. We ended up getting food after this meal because the portions were so small. Do not recommend.

We were disappointed to be seated at the sushi bar, instead of a table, even though we had reservations. The host said that a reservation does not mean you get a table. The sushi was very good. The entrees of Duck and Beef were both surprisingly tough. I had to cut off the fat from the duck because it was too tough to chew well enough to swallow. It definitely was not freshly cooked. I rarely post a negative review.

Food was sensational!!! The only issue we had was being able to hear the serving staff. This really isn’t there fault since they have to wear masks and the way sound reverberates through the dining area makes it hard to hear when they repeat the order. It ended up causing a happy accident where I got the wrong item. But it was still good!! Will come back for sure!!

Our favorite sushi spot. Going there for years because they are the only sushi restaurant we’ve found in Louisville that is mindful of shellfish allergies. Always take care to not cross contaminate so I can enjoy a few selected rolls myself. Gyoza is the best in town. Always such great service.

This place has outstanding sushi and I’ve never had a problem getting a table with and without reservations. I highly recommend it.

Like many restaurants these days, they are dealing with staffing issues. They were transparent and apologized in advance that one server was taking care of every table in the restaurant. Granted, the food took a bit longer, but she did an outstanding job and was very pleasant. Food is reliably good and service was great considering the circumstances. Thank you!

We offer two special private rooms. One is called "Ozashiki" which is a very nice Japanese style private room, and yes, you will be asked to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. It will be held many functions for up to 16. If you have a great birthday or family party, "Ozashiki" will be the best fit for you. If you need to impress your clients, we have another private dining room. It will be held up to 11 people and available for the business meeting. Also, this private room is perfect for your family event. It's really comfortable, so you will be relaxed with your family.
