Mike was very attentive!
Great dinner for a small birthday celebration. Outside and covered. Food was great!
Great place to dine outdoors during this pandemic. Heat lamps and outdoor fireplace help a lot. Will be back with my family.
Great dinner outdoors. Alex was our server and was great.
Our favorite place for a burger and personal pizza! Unique choices!
Came for my anniversary and it was amazing!!
Celebrated birthday lunch with my sister and her husband on Saturday afternoon. The grounds are beautifully arranged with choice of distanced outdoor seating or indoors. Menu was varied and appealing. Quality and presentation of the food was excellent and service was outstanding. Highly recommended for an enjoyable meal in a peaceful and welcoming setting.
Outside done well. Great American fare with flair
First visit since they reopened after quarantine. The food and service levels are maintained from pre-Coronavirus times, and the outdoor seating is spacious. Glad to have it back in my dining rotation!
We were celebrating our 25 th Wedding anniversary. The lovely ladies greeted us and wished us a Happy Anniversary along with our waiter who had two classes of Prosecco for us. Our Specials menu also had Happy 25th Anniversary. Lovely touches to a wonderful evening. Our waiter was one of the best and the food was very good. Thank you to the staff and owners fir the special touches.
We always love this place. It was too cold to eat outside this past weekend and so we sat inside and it was fine. We had a room to ourselves. Our waiter Edward was very nice but service was a bit slow, and one of our meals came out incorrectly. We will go back.... everyone is entitled to an off night but we all enjoyed our evening regardless
This place is a favorite of ours. The service and food are very good. Unfortunately due to the situation sitting under a tent isn’t as nice as the restaurant itself. But they did make it nice. That have heaters as well so the temperature was comfortable.
We visited the Ho Ho Kus Inn to celebrate our anniversary, which I noted on my Open Table reservation. Upon check in we were greeted with a Happy Anniversary, our specials menu had Happy Anniversary printed at the top, the waiter greeted us with a complimentary prosecco and another server passing by our table wished us a Happy Anniversary! The outside dining area was lovely. There was plenty of room and we felt very safe. The service was not rushed at all and we enjoyed a lovely meal. There was a group with several children and the noise level was a bit loud, but that really cannot be helped in an outdoor tent situation. We will definitely be back and we'll recommend to others as well.
WHY DID I NOT RECEIVE MY POINTS FOR DINING WHEN IN THE PAST I HAVE!!!!!!!!
The menu needs revision. Admittedly, there is not a large selection on the menu due to Covid-19, but their fare is mostly "snack-type" food and not many heavy dishes that one would like to enjoy for dinner.
It was lovely and food was delicious.
Our second 5 pm dinner reservation in the White Tent. The welcome is warm. Tables are so very well spaced. Servers are attentive. The dinner was delicious: one order of New England clam chowder and two of calamari, one salmon entree and two of the daily special, a seafood risotto. We each needed "to go" boxes for our entrees. We love the new simplified menu...plenty of choices for small or enormous appetites.
Wonderful place to eat. Outside was beautiful. Staff were always kind.
Had brunch here recently and it was very good! Sitting in the outdoor tent area was very enjoyable, although it could be a little more dressed up. My french toast was delicious and my husband liked his eggs benedict, too! My favorite, though, was devils on horseback. They are amazing! Our waiter was very nice and professional, but the service was a little slow. We didn't mind since we didn't have plans for afterward. We loved that the first bloody mary or mimosa was included with our entrees!
What a beautiful place. We sat inside and felt like we were up in New England. the service was impeccable. We started with the coconut mussels, which we both thought could have been the best mussels dish we ever had! For our main dishes, we ordered the cod and the pork chop with spatzle. The cod was moist and flavorful. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and the spatzle was delicious. Overall, a great experience!.
Strict adherence to Covid protocols made us feel safe and comfortable. Aleays been a great place indoors or out. Hope it will continue well into November. Heat lamps on order?
We had a beautiful anniversary dinner. The staff made us feel like it was a special celebration and the service was exceptionally pleasant. Thank you Ho-Ho-Kus Inn!
The Inn has taken extraordinary measures to create a safe and inviting outdoor space. We were on the tented patio and arrived at 5. We were warmly welcomed back by Junior and his team. We were three and each ordered different menu items: New England chowder, two different salads and for main courses scallops, cod and pork chop. One apple crisp and coffee. All were delicious. By the time we left just before 7, most tables were filled and the noise level was up. Tables are very well spaced...felt very safe. Definitely will return soon.
Delicious food! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch
Quiet with lovely outdoor ambiance. Pleasant service and as always, great food!
We enjoyed our outdoor dining on that beautiful Thursday. Our lunch was wonderful. We loved the pizza with figs, arugula, and prosciutto; the fried calamari was very tender; and pretzel sticks were nice and hot with cheese dip and mustard on the side! Friendly service. We appreciated not being rushed and highly recommended the Inn!
Sat outside and the food was great. Excellent wait staff
Food was good. Service was fine. It was cold and there was a table that had the heat lamp moved next to them in the corner of the tented area. Our table of 6 had no heat because of the one couple and no one seemed to care because the couple was being difficult. The heat lamp placement was disrupted for one couple and 3 other tables had to go without. Management should have stepped in.
Given the restriction of COVID, the dining experience was very good. The food was absolutely delicious...incomparable. The service was a little slow. I'd definitely go back.
Lovely outdoor dining experience with our server Z. Kaitlyn’s bartending was on point.
Pandemic friendly. Curbside appeal. Friendly , helpful staff, but a bit inexperienced.
Food was fine, nothing exceptional, prices fair.
Drinks tasted good, but didn't pack any kind of punch, usually I'm a one and done, but I could have easily had two and been fine to drive, not a bad thing, but in these time a warm buzz would have been appreciated.
I would go back....
Absolutely Will Go Back ! service as well as food were very Good
We were very pleased with the precautions the restaurant is taking regarding the coronavirus. We have seen very few eating establishments that were that attentive. The service was very good and the food as consistently good as it was before the shutdown. Would highly recommend.
love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable outdoor dining in a friend home. Quality of the food was excellent. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were amazing!
Very disappointed with our dinner tonight. Service was extremely slow considering they aren’t even at full captivity.
I was served a charred appetizer and wait time between courses was well over a 1/2 hour...no real apologies were extended.
The scallops were fabulous. The drinks were excellent. They set up the outdoor dining beautifully. Can’t wait to go back for a blood orange margarita.
The hostess on Friday night, 9/11/20, could not find our reservation, even though I had received a confirmation call, from her, the night before, and was holding my phone showing her the open table reservation for that night at 6:30!!! She basically told us there was nothing she could do for us, despite having confirmed our reservation herself the night before!!! I told her it was my birthday dinner and they needed to figure something out, because this was in no way our mistake! There were PLENTY of free tables and yet she was unwilling to seat us because she could “not find” our reservation on her iPad!!! Finally, someone else, possibly a manager, stepped in and offered to give us a table under the tent, but by then we were so annoyed that it ruined our whole dinner! HHK Inn should get rid of her! She was the worst person to have at the hostess desk - completely unwilling to figure out a solution, for the restaurant’s obvious mistake! So disappointing!
They opened back up after corona forced break and we sat under a tent that leaked on me while it rained: Ordered a drink, they brought the wrong one 3 times. Lights went out and never came back on, no one addressed this or said anything: everyone pretended it never happened. We sat with street lights from surrounding street, otherwise in the dark. Steak was hard and chewy. Our waiter was horrendous. Bizarre experience.
Fabulous, as always!! Sooo happy they are open again.
