Brunch was amazing! We got lucky and were able to get a reservation the night before. Definitely recommend the punch and the candied squash. Also if you can sit on the porch that’s the best.
Not what I expected. Service was poor. Food was good but not great.
Everything was amazing!!!!!!!!! From our drinks to apps, dinner, drinks! :) everything was great and quite enough around us where I could head my husband speak.
All around excellent service! The Filet was awesome!
Great food and drinks, great location, great service.
We definitely thought the food was not worth the money. The oysters were very small and the pig ears which were highly recommended were big hard pieces of cartilage. Save your teeth on these.
First will start by saying the service was what you’d expect of a 5 star. Waiter was very attentive and quick with everything. That said. The food at Husk is seriously lacking. Do not get what all the hype is about.
We got their skillet bacon corn bread as an appetizer. It was burnt to a crisp on the bottom. My wife was hungry so she asked for honey and doused it in copious amounts to drown out the flavor. I did not touch my half. The waiter inquired as to why. Told him was burnt and he just took it away.
Dinner comes, Which we were super excited about as many know the reservations for this place can take months, having lost two reservations over course of last year due to kids having some kind of sickness last minute.
My wife ordered the snapper, which I can say was very very good. What you’d expect of a restaurant of Husks reputation.
I ordered the shrimp and grits a southern staple. I can honestly say they were the worst I’ve ever had (and have had a LOT). Whoever was the chef decided to only cook one side of the shrimp and Absolutely scorched them! They were RUBBER! If you were to drop them on the floor I’m sure they’d bounce up and right back in the bowl! The grits were absolutely water (if there were any).
I’m 41 years old I can honestly say this is the first meal in my life (and I have been out to a lot of restaurants) that I sent back!
I then got the chicken pasta dish. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Perfectly moist. The pasta however was a penne noodle that was so mushy you could feed it to a 1 month old and not fear them choking on it. The sauce and (supposedly fresh tomatoes) tastes exactly like Classico directly from a jar with no seasoning added at all.
If you’re from Charleston or the surrounding area, you probably have experienced this and know there are many better places to go. We’ve only lived here 3 years. Still venturing about.
If you are not from Charleston and visiting, looking to find that amazing perfect meal. Do yourself a
Date w my beau of 30 yrs. interior and ambiance waereg
Delicious food, cocktails and excellent service. Would highly recommend. Make sure to make a reservation in advance.
Ate at this restaurant in Savannah. Wanted to try the one in Charleston. It was just as amazing. Staff were very knowledgeable about the food and wine selection. Perfect portions. Very eclectic but not so much that you can’t find something to enjoy.
Delicious and unique. Great southern food in an amazing old house.
We were in Charleston for our annual vacation this week. As always we treated ourselves to an evening at Husk. It never disappoints. Excellent service. The food was fantastic and the drinks were perfect.
Live in ATL Visiting Daughter First time at Husk Can’t wait to come back
Appreciated the Safety Protocols too!
Awesome...husk burger and cocktails. My absolute favorite
fabulous dining experience!
I think the pig ears appetizer was my favorite. The other dishes were great too. The chocolate chip cookies were a bit disappointing, not like I was expecting, but overall, a great experience.
Promptly seated. Table was ready outside and with Hugh chairs as request. Excellent food. Our server Will was great.
Amazing food, nice table and a really good option to enjoy a memorable experience
Wait staff was a bit underwhelming give the stature of the restaurant, however the food is otherworldly delicious. Both small and large plates exceeded expectations even with Husk’s solid reputation.
Terrific service and location. Creative menu.
Great service and great food! All of what I expect from a fine dining experience.
Only one word.......Fantastic!!!!!
The menu was unique with a number of items that I had never tried. I would consider this a gourmet's delight. The service was also very friendly and knowledgeable.
Incredible. Food, drink, and service all impeccable. Best old fashioned I’ve ever had.
Sent both appetizers back. I will not be returning. Very hyped, unfortunately
We celebrated our third anniversary at Husk and it was absolutely perfect! We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The server was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would return.
Amazing service, delicious food and ambience was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband enjoyed his cheese burger. My omelet was just ok. First time at husk for brunch. I was a little disappointed.
Amazing food and service!
Great dinner! Desert seemed a little bit like an afterthought, though.
It was my first time at Husk and I enjoyed it a lot. I had Shrimp and Grits, with an appetizer of pimento cheese. All top notch. I will definitely return to Husk, probably the Nashville location next time since it's closer to where I live.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere! Will be back!
Husk was an authentic Southern culinary experience in Charleston. It was our first time there and we were impressed with the food, the service, and the ambiance. We would recommend this spot to anyone who can snag a reservation.
Best food in Charleston! Everything was literally amazing.
A must try dining experience . Every thing about Husk is top notch , service , ambiance and especially the food.
Food was outstanding. Waitress was just ok, but understand it’s hard with covid19. Sat in bar upstairs perfect ambiance.
We had a very enjoyable meal at Husk, thanks to the informative Yelp reviews. Shrimp & grits were some of the best I've eaten anywhere and my partner said the same about the fish. Unfortunately, we were seated in a dark corner upstairs but in the age of COVID, we took it in stride and enjoyed our evening. We'll definitely return again.
Romantic dinner on patio. Loved it!!
We visited Husk in Charleston many years ago when they first opened and loved our experience. This time we shared Husk with our daughter and husband. The food was very good and so was the ambiance, but I have to say that our waiter fell far short of what I would expect in a nice restaurant such as this one. He had little personality and our whole family thought he added nothing to our experience. Seemed like a lot of money to give for little value.
