INC American Bar & Kitchen

We have been here a few times and each time the food and service is consistently very good. Daniel the manager is always out there with a friendly smile. The cocktails are remarkable...I had the Cider Cider and it was delicious but a bit heavy on the crushed ice. Brussels sprouts appetizer was a huge hit again. The flatbread with burrata disappeared quickly. I loved the scallops special. Desserts are limited but very good.

We went here for a friend’s birthday and ordered drinks and several smaller dishes. All the food was exceptional! We had brussel sprouts, buffalo cheese curds, olive tapenade, pumpkin ravioli and guacamole. For dessert we had pumpkin cannoli and ice cream sandwich. Drinks were good but service to bring out drinks was very slow. Aside from that great food and loved that the menu was small and seasonal!

Nice cozy atmosphere, had not been there since it was Darryl’s Wine Bar. Food was good, service was great and appreciated they knew we were going to a show so service was quick. My only complaint is the table we had was in the corner so not enough leg room

My first visit to INC and I will be back! I went with a friend, prior to a show at the State Theater. Getting there at 6 allowed us plenty of time to eat and be at the show before 8. I had the hanger steak and my friend had the pork tenderloin, which we both enjoyed. Our appetizers of butternut squash soup and a buttnernut squash salad were both delicious. Our server was very good.

I wasn't crazy about the style or volume of music - the place wasn't that crowded but it was a little bit loud.

Otherwise, we both really liked it - beautiful atmosphere, great location (near theater and parking garage), delicous food, and great service. I'll be back again with hubby!

The food is excellent and the whiskey sour is the best I’ve ever had.

We were there during happy hour and it was fabulous! The wine was delicious as was the cauliflower and brussel sprouts!! We will be back!

This was our first time going to an event at the state theater and we were looking for a reasonable restaurant within walking distance. INC fit the bill, but I’m not sure if we’d go back. We really liked our appetizers (buffalo cheese curds and bang bang cauliflower) but the main courses (shrimp and grits, tile fish and chicken Milanese) were just so so. Greatest disappointment was the service. When we sat down, we told our waitress we were going to a show and wanted to leave by 7. She was great in the beginning and checked in once after entrees were served...but then disappeared. Had a hard time getting the check and then actually paying.

Good food and fast service, but overpriced for what we received.

Pork sticky buns.
Olive tapenade.
Wild boar osso bucco.
Shrimp and chorizo with pasta.
Milk and cookies dessert.

Nice place. Food was good nothing extraordinary. Had the wild boar osso boco which was good but could of had more flavor. Service was par. Drinks took awhile to get to table and was rushed out. Desert menu was given to my wife before I finished my main course and it wasn’t even late on a Friday night. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

Service very good. Food selection was ok. Tried to get a grilled chicken breast and was told the only chicken they had was breaded. Thought that was strange! Breading is fattening!!! Need to have more calorie conscious offerings. Pork entree was very good

One of the few reasonably priced, yummy food options in NB. We had a bunch of small plates and really enjoyed the innovative mix of flavors and ingredients.

INC is always an amazing experience, from the foods, the drinks and the service. Never a disappointment!

The only thing to write about in any sort of not overwhelming positive way is that if you order “beast mode” (which tastes phenomenal) they bring it to you in a flowery tea cup....to this I say...touché restaurant....touché

Everything is great though and I highly recommend this place, service, food, menu selection, ambiance all excellent and it’s easy to park at too since there’s a parking deck across the street

Great location in the theater district of New Brunswick. If you're a whiskey/bourbon afficionado, this is the place for you! Their bar is amazing. The food is very good and sometimes ventures into the "unusual" like an elk burger! Servers are attentive and jovial. Really upbeat place.

Food was outstanding. Not much of a wine selection. Really just a whiskey bar. Service was polite but untrained.

They just introduced a new menu and everything was outstanding. My husband was hesitant to try the General Tsao’s cauliflower dish because he wasn’t sure he felt like vegetarian— it was so delicious, incredible flavors. The pasta with shrimp & h homemade chorizo was also off the charts. We’ve already recommended the restaurant to friends. We’ll be back....

Last night of the old menu. Looking forward to the new offerings to come! As a regular, membership has its privileges. I got an advanced look at the new menu and am intrigued by what will likely become my new favorites. I consider spilling the beans now but I love keeping secrets.

Very nice; very welcoming. We just had drinks and apps before a show at Stress Factory. Very nice staff; food was good. Reasonable prices. We'll be back.
