Italian Kitchen - Vancouver
We went for the set dinner for $49, which included an appetizer, a pasta dish, a protein-based main, and dessert. The non-seafood dishes were pretty good, but the seafood dishes were not great. Service and ambience were both great though. Overall, probably wouldn't return given the large selection of better Italian restaurants in Vancouver.
The value and food was good. Our server, however, didn't match up with the Glowbal Group's standard. The server was rush and lack of finesse. The service was robotic and not genuine.
We were last year & we were so happy to be back! Exceptional service, wine pairing & food... On point!
Pretty overrated experience all round. Attentive service, but the quality of the food nowhere near matched the price tag. Wouldn’t go back, there are much better choices in Vancouver.
Nice ambience, very good service and top notch cuisine
It’s excellent becoz they did listened for what we requested with a nice table ! Foods are amazing and only a little disappointed when they told us one of the dish were sold out and no other dish replaced it! Also it happened again when came with the desserts, what 4 of us wanted were sold out too... and thanks for the waiter Chase who served us all night and arrange a special desserts from the menu, only no candles for two of us ( it’s our 60th years old bday in Lunar ) and I told my brother we will have a candles that night !! Special thanks for CHASE who served us all night and also the Manager dropped by ask us about the night too, appreciated !
Had to redo pasta, but steak was very good!
Everything was great as usual. The food was served very quickly as the staff was friendly.
Nice food good service always feels good I like the outside seating area in summer evening go there with my wife my family some time with friends to
Service good but food was just OK. Had eggplant parm ravioli which was good but the sauce on top was a tart and plain tomato sauce that didn’t pair well which ruined it. My husbands meal was also just OK. I expect more when paying $100 for a meal.
Food was very good. I had the salmon and it was a bit oily, but cooked nicely.
Terrible food - mistakes with timing and dishes.
Gritty cold potatoes ruined dishes - compensated with free dessert
Would not go back
Absolutely fab! Great place to get the small team together.
Food was pretty decent!
Short rib ravioli is a must-try, absolutely fantastic.
Had reservations and had to wait a bit to get seated, but service was very good.
The food and atmosphere were really good. The price was expensive but worth it. Only complaint I have is that it was really cold in the restaurant, which was kind of distracting. Other than that everything was wonderful
They have moved locations, not a fan at all
Of the new spot and the menu has changed as well. Would not recommend!
Unfortunately, we were looking forward to dinner after our show on Feb 14th.
Did not realize there was but one menu for Valentines , with a few options.
$85 a head plus $40 each for wine pairing. Appetizer was good, main course lacked seasoning and the fish was slightly overcooked while the potatoes were slightly under cooked.
Dessert was ok. Over all, for the price, disappointing.
Don't know if we would go again.
Lovely Valentines dinner. Food was delicious and there was lots of it!
was greeted in a timely manner, staff were nice and efficient. their pasta is quite good. i can not say they are better than what i have tried in Boston and New York city but they are definitely better than a lot of Vancouver restaurants.
Too much overhead lighting which took away from the ambiance.
We got to the restaurant and the reservation could not be found however we quickly seated. Our waiter Jessie was very personable and knowledgeable about the food. I had the Blue plate ricotta and spinach tortellini which were excellent, just the right bite. My husband had Spaghetti Bolognese which he said was great with a little spice. We enjoyed glasses of the house red which was a nice Italian red. We don't have dessert but I was intrigued buy plates of white balls that went by. Jessie explained that these were a kind of Italian doughnut and I was sold. My husband had the chocolate cake, a lovely layered dessert. Coffee was really nice and went perfectly with the wonderful rich desserts.
