Always enjoy coming up to Jacksonville to eat at
J Alexander’s!! Still can’t believe ours closed in Orlando.

Our Server was exceptional. This is why we come back is the great service.

The service was outstanding! Food did not disappoint. The special Prime rib was very good.
We also ordered two salads, a bit overpriced. The Mac & Cheese is a favorite.

I’ve been eating there since you opened and I’ve never had a bad meal.

J. Alexanders is one of our favorite, always great places to dine. Food and service always excellent.

They charge $15 to valet your car, and then they put our family in the back booth even though we had reservations and the restaurant was only half full. Food was OK and server was good

Consider complimentary bread as people not want to spend $14 on an appetizer but a little loaf of bread might be enjoyable.

I had their filet for the first time- was great, and prepared perfectly! Service was exceptional. I especially like the low noise level so you are able to talk to your guests. It was a great evening!

Everything was great except when I made the reservation it came up as "bar seating" which I did not request. I called the restaurant and Josie corrected the reservation, although, she said she had never seen that before - nor I. She was very efficient and we had a good booth when we arrived. As to the dinner, I was surprised after we had eaten our salads and our entrees were brought to the table, that I had to ask for dinner forks because there were none. I had ordered the prime rib and usually a steak knife would be brought out with it but not this time. The food, though, was delicious and it made for a lovely Mother's Day meal.

My dinner came out cold. The waiter took forever to come back to table after food was dropped off. So I had a cold dinner and the waiter did not do anything to complete the problem.

Service and food was great... if I could change one thing it would be the lighting... ambiance is great but need a little more lighting to see the menu... kinda hard to read the menu with lights being so low.

Our meal and service was outstanding. We have eaten here on several other occasions; I rated this evenings ambience poorly because it was much too noisy due to the large volume of patrons.

Great food quality, and our server was really trying, but lacked experience. We still had a great meat for Mother’s Day and will go back!

It had been awhile since visiting a J. Alexander's. Was quite pleased with the overall experience. WOuld def' return.

They’ve revamped their menu a little bit taking multiple wines and dessert items off which was a surprise. Just wasn’t as good of an experience as times past. Maybe it was the large group of prom students cursing and laughing loudly right behind us. Or the fact we had to send multiple plates back to the kitchen.

Underwhelmed for what was expected for a special dinner.

Overall this was a mediocre experience. I had reservations for 5 pm, no one in the restaurant and we were taken to a table first. We got moved to a booth. The server, although very sweet was clearly new and told us it was only the 3rd bottle of wine she had ever opened. It took her several minutes to open a bottle of white that could have been chilled quite a bit longer. Our dinner was just ok, certainly not worth the price. I will not go back for quite some time if at all. It's just not worth it.

Maggie was the best! You should try to clone her!

Our Alex salads didn’t have any lettuce in them - it was all cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, and cheese. It was like they ran out of lettuce. Also, they bought our meals at the same time as our salads. Weak apology and our waitress was pretty disinterested in our experience. Won’t be going back any time soon.

Very nice dinner. Kai Thai Salad is like a never ending volcano of chicken and good tastes! Side cars on Martini's are very ice treat

We had excellent service, good drinks and tasty food.

Great place to eat, food is perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and are very professional and on top of things. Definitely a place to go and eat!

Knowledge/professionalism of waitstaff seems to have declined. When would you offer olives with a Manhattan or serve a steak medium when it was ordered medium rare?

My first time eating here. Had an amazing time. Affordable and great food, great size portions fit the price. Drinks were nice and not watered down at all. Definitely will be returning.

Everything was Great except the steak this time was WAY OVER COOKED on the out side and that made it BAD !!

We were greeted by the hostess in a very pleasant way. We were seated in a busy spot and it was immediately corrected. We didn’t initiate it. An amazing manager saw wherever we were and suggested a better spot. The servers were so nice and accommodating by answering all my questions with a lot of patience. Super sweet. I love your restaurant’s sophisticated atmosphere. We will always come back!!!

I went to dinner before prom and our waitress was not very good. However, the food was excellent.
We normally have great service so we were disappointed when our special occasion was not as expected.

Really good food and atmosphere. Definitely will be back soon. Carrot cake was also a great finisher.

BFF outing! My beautiful friend flew in for the evening and we decided to head to J Alexander’s because of their amazing martini specials.... Wednesday’s are special at this place... they have half priced martinis and $5 appetizers. We had Dirty Vodka martinis and went to the regular menu for salmon dip with toast points. Delicious and the generous pours keep me coming back and introducing my friends!! Also they serve a fabulous artichoke too which you do not find very often in restaurants!!

Your prime rib nights are great. Michael who is your bartender is the best bartender I have seen. I do want to mention that Open Table is my preference to make reservations on. Resy is not going to replace Open Table is it? That would be a big mistake.

Very nice experience, friendly staff, and quick service. Food was delicious.

Only problem we had was it was freezing cold in the restaurant. The restrooms were worse and you could have hung meat in there.

Food was delicious! Good atmosphere, the crab cakes are some of the best I’ve had!

Food is always good ...had the crab cakes this time and roasted Brussel sprouts and they were excellent. Of course for dessert we split the carrot cake and it never disappoints.. a winner always. Although for Easter, some type of lamb would be a great change...for other holidays as well.🤓
