We didn’t get time to look at menu there was no knife for my steak

We had to wait for a table on the patio even though I specifically requested a table on the patio so that did not put us in the greatest mood. We waited an additional 45 minutes for a table. The apps, main and dessert arrived quickly which was nice as we were starving. The food was tasty and the dishes that had modifications were correct. All in all, it was a nice socially distant dinner with friends outside my bubble.

Really good food for the money. Booking a reservation was key at this time of the night. Quite a few people without waiting for a table.

Food was soggy and undercook

Steaks were very undercooked. The server was fair and did take the one steak off the bill as we could not eat it and offered a free dessert. The rest of the food was satisfactory.

We were seated 5min early and we were not acknowledged by any of the many servers rushing around for over 15min. We were only acknowledged because we flagged someone down. Apparently we were not assigned a server! Our server was apologetic and she was great. However after ordering a steak, the sourdough bread was not delivered. Really disappointed. Loud ambience, very busy.

My only complaint is that our app was served almost at the same time as our mains - not a big deal in my books!!

New Years Eve and celebrating 20 years of being with my husband! It was a great experience! Food was fantastic! Server was wonderful. Thank you for a great time! Our daughter who is 12 joined us and she loved it too!

They changed the menu which was very upsetting to the group our server Codie made our visit worth staying!

The waitress Maddie went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and enjoyed every bite. My friend and I have a couple of dietary restrictions which the kitchen accommodated for us.
We will be back to dine again for sure.

Jack's is still one of the best Chain restaurants but the value for the money has severely declined.

Although our food was delicious, it felt that I was eating in the United States where they rush you in and out. No sooner did we get our drinks that our food arrived. We like to sit back and enjoy ourselves over drinks before we eat. Did not happen here.

Absolutely love Jack Astor's but the pricing has increased at least 20% - 25% in the last few years.

Our server, Patrick, was very friendly and helpful.

Found the prices too high for what you get. Won’t be back because of this. Otherwise met expectations.

It was a bad experience. We left before we ordered. We asked our server a question about a gluten sensitivity. She said she would go ask someone and she did not return to the table. I saw her serving other tables and even cleaning one off. I didn’t understand why she was ignoring us. After 25 minutes another server came and said they would now be serving us? We had an infant with us and couldn’t spend another hour at the restaurant so we left.

It wasn’t busy while we were there. We wanted to celebrate the end of a maternity leave and our son being 1. I guess we’ll remember this celebration negatively for some time to come.

Good for a night out

First, we were seated in bar height booth with a 2 year old - weren't offered a regular table with a highchair. Wasn't super impressed but let it go as we just figured they didn't have highchairs.

The food was decent but the portion sizes were tiny and expensive for what we got. Our waiter was either new or distracted as we had multiple issues with him not listening to what we asked. If he wasn't sure, he should have clarified. Definately not a $70 meal. The food was good but we won't be back.

Good food ,good food service and good value. On arrival we were told we had no reservation, which we had through Open Table. The young man who dealt with us at the front desk was not very helpful.

Waiter Codie was excellent and attentive. Great job.
Food was fine.

Door guy thought he was running a private club. Was full of attitude and not good at his job.
We had a reservation- which he wasn’t going to keep because we had kids?!?! Said we’d have to wait an hour to accommodate our kids.

Since when is this “family” restaurant not taking kids?
Kids ages 2-10.
I didn’t have 24 infants with special needs.

Apparently when booking you need to specify that you have children. Which it doesn’t say anywhere.
Apparently you are supposed to mark that in the comments. Apparently it’s a well known thing and I am scum for not knowing. So we had a 2 yr old at a high table, not the best but it was the only option. Completely unacceptable exchange with the door guy.
Guess what big guy, you are the door guy at Jack Astor’s, not an exclusive Vegas night club. You are the face and touch point of the franchise. And you failed miserably.

Dear management- time to review the training process on this. Or get someone out there with common decency and respect. It’s not rocket science. Politeness goes miles. This punk was useless and ignorant and looks bad on your company.

Trivia night, a bit loud for us to be able to visit but will remember to avoid Monday nights if dining with friends. Always enjoy our time at Jack Astor’s.

Had a great time at Jack Astor’s! The service was good and fast. Our server Jordan was so nice and helpful. A great atmosphere to watch the raptors game at. Definitely would recommend for dinner with friends!

Food is not as good as it used to be. Wine is a terrible price. It will be a long time until we return

I am sorry to say that I was not that impressed with this restaurant. The noise level was so bad, that we could barely hear ourselves talk. The waiter was not very helpful, gave JUST what was requested without doing any more. I understand that he was busy and we were not his only customers; however, I had ordered a salmon and instead of the steamed rice - I asked to substitute that with a baked potato. When my meal came - I ONLY received was the salmon (which was done not bad) and a baked potato (which was not done very well). There was no side of veggies, and no toppings for the potato. I chose not to say anything, because it was SO loud, and I could see there were many patrons. Furthermore, we waited quite a long time to be served AND then waited a long time to receive our bill.

Excellent service.
Noise level was insane given our seating; they have an open kitchen so pot and pans and everything consistantly banging, additionally we counted 6 glasses that broke in the kitchen.
Portion sizes were very small.
Purchases the ahi tuna salad .. dish was decent.. very disappointed in 80% being lettuce.. only 4 small pieces of tuna and the mango was FROZEN .. clearly a grocery store purchase of frozen mango.
My company enjoyed there meals however were equally disappoint in the serving size, so much so we grabbed food on the way home.
Wouldnt be a bad place for a beer during the game, but if your looking to go home satisfied I'd move somewhere else.

Making the reservation was easy.
We had prompt service when we arrived.
Our server was available and attentive.
Prices were reasonable

Our waiter Jason was very helpful and provided excellent suggestions.

It was for a birthday party. 7 people seemed expensive, food was great.

The steaks were unsatisfactory. Price was too much for what we received. Could hardly hear each other speak. Service was good.

Was a little cool in the restaurant.

Good food. Slow service.

Table was ready when we arrived a little early. Ordered drinks, appetizers and meals. Drinks came first then the meals which we sent back because the appetizer hadn’t arrived yet. When it came it was very good as were the meals when they were served again. A little noisy but it didn’t detract from the hockey game.

A great spot for lunch, I just feel he music could be turned down a bit.

After my last visit I was not very pleased with my dining experience however the birthday girl requested that we dine there. The Food was adequate, price was very expensive, including charges for refills. When asked when making the reservation if there was a special occasion I advised that the reservation was for a 40th Birthday. Not one staff even mentioned the birthday.
