made reservation but couldn't get into for 10 min. 7 oz steak was tiny, service was terrible, prices were wrong compared to the menu price. Service was terrible no one can back to ask for more drinks etc. When I showed the menu price compared to the receipt to the waitress she said it was taxes in. I said no. Then she said...oh..those menu prices are in effect tommrow. Then I said ok please correct for mine today as that is what the menu said. No apologies just takes reciept and updates it. No apology when she brings it back out. Terrible experience.

We went for a late dinner not realizing the raptors game was on. The energy was loud so I couldn't hear our waitress. We asked for two tequila shots near the end and it came 20 mins late. Appetizer and food service was quick. She didn't even describe the red and green service for the menu. Tipped her 10$ and no ty.

There was 3 other tables inside the restaurant, service was very very slow. Was our first time out since Covid. And our Anniversary
We just did apps and beers. Took long time to get the food. And the food was bland. No flavour at all. Not impressed and won’t return.

I have dined at this location many times before and never had any problems. I came with a friend who was dining out for the first time since quarantine. First my friend ordered a fishbowl that was supposed to be very sweet and we both tried it and it tasted salty. After awhile the server finally came by to check on our table and we asked for a different drink. We understand that it was not the servers fault but even to ask for a water or anything throughout our visit was difficult because our server came by maybe 3 or 4 times during our visit. I even noticed the patio was not busy that evening and there were many empty tables. Every time the server came to our table he was passive and would take our order and run off. I understand that sometimes servers are busy but I’ve never experienced service like this before. Overall the food was good but the service from the server left a bad taste. Towards the end it started raining and we finally had a chance to ask for the bills while he was walking by our table with our entree plates still on the table even though we finished eating 20 minutes before that. Our server did not acknowledge or inform us of the protocols when it rains on the patio which is why we just asked for our bills in order for us to be able to leave and not get soaked. The only reason we knew that service was being stopped was because a different table got up to ask the server what the situation is when it rains and we happened to overhear the conversation.

It was my moms birthday and the waiter toke forever to even take our order and went to people who were after us before he even got to us. We had to ask for water, A straw and just basic things. The food was amazing and the space was great overall

The staff did an excellent job taking the extra precautions needed due to COVID-19.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our dinner. Can’t wait to come back.

Patio was adequately social distanced. Servers were wearing a mask. Menus are now paper and disposable after use.

Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I had the fried chicken and it was over cooked and dry. The coffee was way too strong and bitter.

Overall service was good, but the food quality has really gone downhill in this location.

Food was excellent! Even though two of our guests cancelled last minute, the staff were very accommodating!

Longer wait times for a quieter night, apps did not arrive. We will be back, this was one off night from what we are use to.

Portions are small. Drink did not taste like there was any alcohol in it.

We were out for a family day dinner with extended family. Food was fast and delicious. Staff was awesome.

This is actually one of my favourite restaurant, that’s why my fiancé and I came here to celebrate my birthday. This is where we came on our first date 6 years ago, so I was very disappointed with the level of service we received on February 13th.
1. We were seated near the door so every time the door opens we felt the cold air.

2. We only received 1 fork and 1 knife on our table, no napkins and I have to asked for an extra one.

3 we waited for over an hour for our meals and to find out that it was given to someone else. So overall we did not enjoy our stay at all. I have to really think about coming back here again.

Service was slow, didn't get any water until halfway through the meal, served all of us at different times and forgot one childs dessert. Food was mediocre at best.

Food is always very good, but it’s getting UN-enjoyably expensive!
The service was TERRIBLE
We started by just ordering drinks, we waited while another table ordered, and yet another table paid. You should at LEAST deliver drinks, so that we don’t feel like we’re being ignored!
For dessert we just asked for Cappuccino, Latte, EVEN HOT CHOCOLATE (which incidentally I’ve had there before), he told us NONE.
So we had NOTHING; paid & left!

Wrong meal was brought to me, the correct one came but was not very good. Had Asiago chicken bow ties pasta.

Food was typical good bar style food. However service was absolutely terrible. Trevor was our server and besides taking our order he didn’t come back to our table even though he was around. Our food was run by someone else and we finished eating and waited for almost 20 minutes until the manager came by and asked if we were done. She then went to get Trevor to get us our bill. Very disappointed with our experience. We felt like very under valued as customers.

Hostess got us a table near the bar area. Great atmosphere for the Raptors game!

The rice I ordered was so hard couldnt cut with my fork

Took 20 minutes to get seated even with reservations, plus the tvs are tiny. The even got my wine selection wrong and refused to correct the mistake.

Everything was good minus the fact I asked for a table in the bar side and it didn't happen.

Limited menu. Bulk of food fried. Prices excessive for type and quality of food

The food was decent, but we didn't have the best service. Our waitress barley talked to us and when we asked for recommendation on a type of beer she was not very help. She acted like she didn't care she just said "depends on what you like". I had to change my reservation time due to some traffic issues and we were coming from out of town. When I called to change our reservation I ended up being on hold for 5 minutes, so I hung up and called back and then I was on hold again for another 5 minutes. I was just disappointed with how long it took to change my reservation. I wanted to change it before it was too late.

Our waitress was amazing. The table was ready on time.
Food was cold, very late, had to ask for utensils several times. Always got something wrong, forget sides, came after already finished food.
Disappointed because I go there every year for my birthday, very disappointed. Will have to find something else next year

A great pre-show dinner with the grandkids! Dinner was good, service was fast and friendly.

I ordered my favourite Smiling Buddha Salad, but was disappointed that many of the ingredients (strawberries, nuts, etc.) were VERY limited - sliced berries didn't even amount to one full berry. Goat cheese was scarce. I have often had this salad at other locations, but this location appears to cut back on the ingredients that make this salad special. Also, the chicken breast on top was clearly not freshly made... it was barely room temperature and looked grey - it was not very moist. Still tasted ok, but I've had MUCH better at other J.A.'s locations. If we had more time, I would have likely sent it back. All other meals at our table looked great.

Was extremely loud, and the monitors were not even placed throughout for us to watch any of the games we wanted to see. Having 7 small monitors in one spot, and then none on one side (were we were) was just not making sense to us.

We had a great server. His name was Sean. Super friendly and attentive! Was on top of it the whole night through!

We were out for a ladies night out and we had a fantastic time.

We were greeted and welcomed nicely.

Our server Amy W was fantastic. She took our orders and was able remember what was ordered and by whom. She has a great ability to read her guests. We all had fun with her. Amy was running all over , interacting with all the people she was serving. When she presented us with our bills, the six of us (3 couples) were amazed that she separated them correctly. When I go back, I will ask to sit in the section Amy is serving. Great food and a great time.

We made a reservation for 9:30pm. Our server ignored our table. Drinks took over 30 minutes to be brought to the table and did not come out all together. Our server only came to our table to order drinks/food and to pay. He never checked in so we were unable to order a second drink. Our food took until 11:00 to arrive and we had only ordered 3 appetizers. (That was 1 1/2 hours after we sat down). We had to ask a manager to check to see if our food was even coming. One dish was cold. Terrible service. No apology or compensation. It was not busy since it was later on. Jack Astor’s corporation should be ashamed at their lack of service.

Our table was next to the wall and it was absolutely freezing. It was a business lunch meeting and I was so uncomfortable. My toes were so cold that I had to wear my coat during the meeting. My clients also said it was so cold and their toes were also freezing. Food was good but the fact that I was so darn uncomfortable I was not able to do business. I just wanted to leave.
