Great as always
Das Essen war wirklich gut, der Service auf Zack und super freundlich, allerdings ist es wirklich sehr laut und voll. Für einen Abend um zu trinken und Spaß zu haben super.
Very disappointing supper. Table of 8. All had supper but 1. Her salmon was raw and then took another 30 minutes to cook but by then we were all done supper. Drinks were slow. Service was slow. Waiter was working hard just don't think he had the support behind the bar or the kitchen.
We had reservations for 5:45. Got there at 5:47 and they told us there was no reservations. This is the second time this has happened. We were able to be seated but I am tired of this happening at Jack Astor’s . I stopped going there because of reservation confusions.
When I went back to the main desk to clarify they told us that because we were late( 2 mins.... it was even logged in what time my friend arrived ) we weren’t there it was wiped off. Then we got another story. Something about no reservation then later they found it. Much confusion and very annoying.
Great as always!
I made reaervations to assure we would not have to wait long for a table. The restaurant was just starting to get busy but there seemed to be ample room to seat us and those in line. We were seated immediately however I would think that since we made a reservations we would be given choice seating ( a booth or something a bit more private) we were
Seated at a long table beside another group of people. I guess I could have asked to be moved but knowing who my guests were they are the type to just go with the flow. I just think that a hostess knowimg we took time to make reservations would put us at a private table. Also I have been to other Jack Astor's and had their pan bread.. This location seemed to skimp on the garlic, butter and cheese. I ordered coke and it was flat. The server was good but the food and overall ambience was not as great as I have experienced at other Jack Astors.
Great as always
These portions are getting smaller!
Good place for a few drinks, laughs, and decent food. Not good if you're looking to try and have a conversation, as the music is very loud.
Very pleasant and enjoyable evening, service was outstanding. Classic sirloin steak was excellent with great portions.
Good spot to eat before the movies
I find the quality of Jack Astors is getting worst. Food was luke warm, soft drinks were flat and service unmotivated. Even their famous chicken strips have shrunk. Not sure I would come back anymore for there are too many restaurants to chose from for sub par food and service. Gave this place one more try thinking their famous chicken strips would change my mind but sadly, not impressive. More like a tourist trap now at this location.
Was here for a girls trip, had a great time! Our waitress was very personable and the atmosphere was amazing! Gorgeous patio view.
Food was good and the late hours were ideal after a late flight into the city. This location had music playing very loud so not ideal if you prefer a quieter atmosphere. The wings were outstanding.
Service was outstanding. Our waitress was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Food was excellent and great value. The drinks selection was great. The music was very loud so it was hard to talk without yelling which got annoying. Otherwise I highly recommend.
Too loud and crowded tables. Food was cold but server took it back and also discounted our bill.
Been to Jack Astor’s many time, but this time at Yonge and Dundas, service was not good, waitress not attentive, front desk had an attitude... although food was decent as a chain restaurant, I would not return to the same location again.
Great food great service as always
Got this salad entree and it was not good for $22!!! The food is really going downhill.
Food came before our order of drinks, forgot salad. Caesar salad was limp and the worst I had ordered in quite a while. They took the salad off the bill. Bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which I bought the week before was $17.00 at LCBO you wanted $53.00 - this is a joke. Go to Europe and see what you pay. In Italy last year five blocks from the Vatican a Tuscany wine 6 Euros with a meal. Your prices for alcohol are the same as Canoe etc... and Astors is not Canoe. Will not go back.

Great spot when you are heading to a mirvish show. Good food and quick service. Beautiful outdoor patio and the new menu items are delicious. Subway is right in the building so on those rainy days you dont have to go outside.
Service and food on point. We sat on the outdoor patio great view of Dundas square. Only drawback is the pigeons. Would definitely go back!
Was great as always - service, food, drinks. All were fantastic.
Beautifully cooked meal, very impressed with the service, great location. It's hard to find a delicious steak but Jack Astor's did not disappoint. Not only that but they had a wide variety of drinks and tasteful and original choices. 10 out of 10
We asked for patio and the staff was reluctant to give us patio seating. The dessert menu item was not available. Somewhat disappointed.
So noisy, had to send back our drinks 3 times and the appetizers were burnt. Our mains were all served cold and sent back.
Booth was not very clean but we had already been waiting for our reserved table and had a show to catch, but they clearly didn't wipe down the booth properly.
This particular Jack's is a great venue to escape from the hustle and bustle of the Eaton Center.
Friendly Staff and good food and if you are lucky enough to get a seat on the 4th floor Patio...Awesome.
Note: Climate controlled (Heated in the winter and a unique misting system for those hot summer days).
Great patio in the heart of the city!
Slow service. Server seemed very overwhelmed. Very very hot inside-Seemingly no AC. Warm beer. Raw chicken had to be sent back. Portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller at Jacks. Not a good visit at all
The view was nice but the dinner was ruined by a fire alarm. The food was average and we waited a long time for our drinks.
We sat on the patio and it was a little off putting to feel mist every few minutes. I'm assuming it's an automated system for the plants however; it might be a good idea to turn it down or off when guests are in the restaurant, especially with everyone having their phones on the table nowadays.
We went to celebrate my sons 19th birthday! It was a wonderful experience and a lot of fun! The patio is beautiful, it was sunny & hot, but those misting machines kept us cool!
The food is absolutely delicious! Pad Thai with shrimp /‘d the seared tuna and avocado salad was superb!!
Thanks again!
We were in town from Guelph so my niece could do some shopping and at the Eaton's Center. My niece was impressed with the outdoor patio view, the only thing she didn't like was her meal. The nachos on the two foot board wasn't really good value for the money, I think she said for $17.99 there were only 13 chips on the board, so she ended up ordering fries to supplement her meal, she was hoping for a larger serving of nachos. Otherwise my food was great, I had the ribs and fried chicken and was quite happy with it. Overall we'd be back the next time we're in town but just won't be ordering the nachos on the board. And we really liked the patio view of the downtown area.
Service was awful. The server forgot literally every single food adjustment we specifically ordered (no onion, extra cheese, jalapeños on the side). Drinks and food took too long to be served, and yet the restaurant wasn’t considered busy. The server wasn’t friendly either. He had his cold face on the entire time. This location used to be my favourite. However, it has lost its quality.
The food and service were great (as usual). However, the host did not bother to review my OpenTable reservation request (patio seating), or to even check us in. A late arriving guest was told we had not yet arrived, 20 minutes after we were seated.
It was great - food was great and service was excellent.
Would recommend.
We made a lunch reservation for 7 people to celebrate my daughters graduation from Ryerson. This was on Raptors Parade day and downtown was incredible over crowded. Despite the fact that the restaurant was at capacity with a 2 hour wait, we were seated immediately. Our waitress remained calm and attentive even though it was so busy. Great experience under the circumstances. Good view and fun time.
What an amazing experience watching the raptors game!!! Our favourite go to place!!!!
Great patio but we waited a long time for food and beverage.
