Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub At The Brewhouse Inn & Suites
Service was barely average. Needs improvement. Food was also average. There was nothing special about the place that differentiated it from a lot of other places in MKE.
We celebrated our one year anniversary and the staff was very accommodating and cool about making it very special for us
We went here based on the good reviews of others. It wasn’t very busy, even for a Friday night— but the service was slow and the server was inattentive. We ordered Moscow Mules and what arrived looked like iced teas. Our server took quite awhile to round back and we asked if they were actually Mexican Mules by mistake- she explained the local ginger beer used, and offered to switch out our drinks for something else... so we did two Tito’s and Cranberries. Our app arrived within a decent time frame and so did our food... which was “eh” at best. Our server never once stopped by to see how things were once we got our food... she asked if we wanted another round of drinks, to which we said “sure, why not.”. Dropped off the drinks and didn’t come back until several minutes later. We asked for our check and upon looking at it, she had charged us for “doubles” on each of our four drinks- something we hadn’t asked for and the drinks definitely weren’t. We questioned her about it and she said “Oh, well you were drinking the mules at first which are doubles, so I just assumed that’s what you wanted.” I’ve never known a mule to be a double (even when it’s served in a pint glass), and she never once asked if we wanted shorts/talls, singles/doubles for our other drinks. We caught her in a lie and a scam to make an extra $12. She ended up adjusting our bill, but never apologized and never said thank you for coming in/ have a good night... overall just a really poor experience, especially for our first time in Milwaukee and at this restaurant. I would NOT recommend. 🙁
Food was good...noise level too high....men's restroom needed some attention.
The food and drinks were very good and we all enjoyed that! However, we were seated at a table for 5 in a dark corner and both light bulbs were out in the light above our table, so very hard to read the menus. And, our waitress disappeared for quite a long time after leaving our bill, which we needed to pay to get to a show.
Great place to stop for lunch or dinner. Food is very good. Service is better.
service was poor and when we complained our waitress came to the table first in a hostile manner and later crying. I didn't think it was too much to ask to get drinks within a reasonable time frame and not 30 minutes after ordering them. Food was good but nothing spectacular and certainly not worth the headache of that poor service. Looks like it could have been a fun place with all day happy hour on Sunday and shuffleboard but I won't be back anytime soon.
Watch Packer game
flatbreads are awesome! love the beer bottle Christmas tree, too!
Great place for a beer and good food.
I've been here a number of times and always a good time. Solid pub food, excellent service and a decent price. Will definitely be back.
The burgers and fries are great, but would avoid the pizza....
We had a terrific waitress. Food was good. Beer PABST was better. The restaurant could have been warmer.
Our server was great when she had time but there was clearly not enough staff. She did her best but we all felt sorry for her.
My wife and I had dinner before a show. Our food was just okay. Our server was very professional and friendly, and the ambiance was fun.
Pickle fries are awesome!
Great spot to meet friends, enjoy a beer and sandwich, and watch a game on TV. Our service was provided by Donzell. He was very knowledgeable about beers on the extensive list and provided excellent, well-paced service.
Great service. We had a group of 8. Server accommodated three separate checks. Love the shuttle bus to Fiserv Forum for the concert! So convenient.
Server was outstanding. He was very quick, very knowledgeable and made sure we were constantly being taken care of when needed.
Our hotel recommended this place as it’s within walking distance. Our waiter was quick to get our order. We tried the buffalo chicken egg rolls, they did not have flavor and were boring.... but hot. I ordered the spinach artichoke flat bread. This lacked flavor and was over cooked. Same chicken that was in the egg rolls they use across the menu. Hubby got the Italian beef, looked good but also lacked flavor. This is a nice place if you want basic bar food and bland flavor... I’m more of a farm to table person and I won’t go back. Waiter was good though and quick.
Thank you to all. for you see I am on a small path by myself.. Hubby is starting stages of Demintia and
often will not come with me.. I am having to create memories new for the time to come ahead...
the Staff was grand .. Love the buildings ...in the 1980's I was a Lady Clown that entertained for the Pabst families and employees. I have great memories of the past . now to work on some new ones for the future.. prayers and thank you again. Holly the Holiday Clown Ardith A Richter
The food was good, but not great. The service was poor since we had two tables and both were uneven and we had to keep our feet on the legs to keep it from rocking. The waitress had serviced tables around us, and others were served who arrived after us (we were a table of 5).
Food was over priced bar food with little taste.
The waiter only came to our table twice. We ordered 2 appetizers which he assured us would come before our food but never came. I was very unsatisfied.
Building has GREAT character! Was not impressed with the server; we had a party of 4 and 2 of us checked in while the other two were parking the car. Server approached us inquiring about a drink order, I politely told him we would like to wait until the whole party was seated, he actually grunted and stormed away. When the remainder of our party was seated, which happen to be two men, the server returned and his attitude was a bit better.
We were seated right away, our server Brook was pleasant and explained everything we needed to know and checked on a a few times to make sure everything was going well.
Cool place. Retro Old School Milwaukee. Food was fine service exceptional. Sat us right away. No complaints. Any urge to go back? Maybe. Wouldn't not go back if I was in the area....
It was our first time here and we didn't realize a DJ would be broadcasting for ESPN - very loud. The service was fine but all of our meals arrive at the table cold. Maybe an off night
Tuesday taco night was outstanding. Great food and excellent beer/drink list for very reasonable prices. It was not an event night downtown so not terribly busy, just nice and lively. Great spot.
We sat outside which was really nice. Unfortunately during the time we were talking and eating there was some loud construction activity right across the street from the outdoor seating area. Overall we really enjoyed the food, service and setting.
Great menu selection. We went before a brewer game and location was perfect.
Great service. Loved sitting outside.
Very enjoyable. Loved the ambiance.
They were busy, I get it there was a concert. Our server either was just swamped with tables or just not good. She messed up the orders and our bill. Either way, I'll still go back.
Food was horrible. My pulled pork tasted like it was cooked the day before. And when I ordered it, there was this purple garnish on top of the meat between the buns( which was not mentioned in the description of menu) that tasted horrible. The onion straws were so tasteless and fell apart as soon as you picked them up. Chicken tenders were dry and very thin. The same tenders were used for a chicken and waffle sandwich. What happened? No actually chicken fried patty? Disgusting. The tenders were over cooked and almost burnt because of how thin they were. The amount of coleslaw provided in a small 5oz made me laugh. Pathetic. Burger was also dry, made way too thick to eat. Messy. Huh fell apart due to how greasy the burger was. How is that even possible? Absolutely terrible. And to get charged for each FOUNTAIN drink is beyond ridiculous. Who charges per drink for fountain? Usually it’s if you
Buy one, the rest are free refills. I will never go back here again. Absolutely a failure. I don’t understand how this place earned its 4 and 1/2 star rating. If it was my choice, I wouldn’t give them anything above a 2 star rating.
We enjoyed the restaurant and ambience but the fried cheese curds were awful.
Terrible service. Messed up order. Long wait for everything. (Not busy at all....lots of empty tables). Had to ask for water 3 different times before I got it. It was my initial beverage order. Not a refill.wont go back
Great place for friends getting together. Awesome drink menu.
Tasty Food and excellent service.
Great food and location, however customer service could have been much better.
