Jake's and Cooper's Wine Bar
A neighborhood favorite. Our party very much enjoyed and shared the cheese board, portobello mushroom appetizer, and a couple of piazzas. Good wines by the glass well.
Love coming to Jake's and Cooper's, we always have such a great time. The food is delicious and the wine is fabulous.
Nice ambience and friendly staff. Food is average based on the price.
We love Jake’s and Cooper’s Thursday evening pasta-and-wine pairings for $20. We’ve gone almost every week the past couple of months and not been disappointed.
Great tasting food at a fair price
So accommodating and food was great- happy hour specials awesome! Brought our little one here and it wasn’t an issue- everyone was so friendly. It was a great experience! Thank you- we’ll definitely be back!
We went for Valentine’s Day which is always a tough night to dine out. The appetizers came quickly and were delicious. We got the beets and cauliflower. The entrees took a very long time to arrive but were also very good. We got the salmon and the crab cakes. This is always a go to place for us- we especially love their gourmet pizzas.
Receptionist and wait staff were excellent. Appetizers (shrimp, butternut squash crab bisque and everything bread) were excellent. Entrees (branzino and ribeye steak) were good). Branzino still had a lot of bones in it and Ribeye was thinner than expected. Wine selection not as good as expected.
All in all, a very nice place but given cost, entrees and wine could have been better.
One of our favorite dates! We went for our anniversary. They were expecting us when we got there, had the best table in the house, EXCELLENT and PATIENT service!
The food was spectacular!
This is my favorite spot in Philly to go out to. The best food, the best wines, the best people, all for such a reasonable price.
The food was not worth the cost, it had absolutely no salt or flavor. The wine was great.
The food was delicious & our server was excellent! It's nice to have a really nice restaurant close to home.
Cooper's Wine Bar was a little disappointing. It was disappointing from the standpoint that the service, food, and cleanliness of the place didn't lend itself to the prices being charged.
Our waiter was the best!! Very knowledgeable about the food because he worked as a chef there as well. Gave excellent recommendations and timed the courses nicely. We will be back!
Much to my surprise we were the only table last night in the restaurant (bar was VERY noisy next door)
Our waitress was wonderful and always available. This is the only restaurant where I will order calves liver (delicious) as were the sweet potato fries. Always recommend reservations so do go and enjoy!
I’ve been eating here for years and I’m never disappointed by any part of my experience.
Wonderful lunch spot..........great atmosphere....friendly, efficient service, good menu, excellent foof quality and very nice wine choices We will definately be returning. Ps....my last experience at Jake's was 33 years ago when I attended their 'pre-opening event'. It was good then, but much better now!
This is one of the BEST restaurants in the city. Food, service, bartending are all performed at the highest levels.
Jake and Cooper's has terrific food. The service is great and the place itself is elegant and comfortable. The cocktails are also great!
waiter suggested greater menu items. relatively cheap for a good meal. quick and friendly service. no complaints!
Excellent service. Waitress was attentive and personable. Overpriced for what we had. 13.50 for pinot??? 4 diners, 2 appetizers, 1 soup 3 dinners (the fourth was split), 2 salads, 1 dessert. 1 tea, 1 coffee. $105 a couple including tip. Way over priced!!!!
The management was incredibly responsive and awesome. Our waitress was well informed , honest and professional.
My wife and I haven't eaten here in a while even though we frequent other Main Street Manayunk eateries. For the most part the meal was fine and the food was good. I ordered the hanger steak and it was brought to me lukewarm, at best. I asked they bring it back out heated up and for the amount of time it was in the kitchen (perhaps 4 minutes) it came back out only slightly warmer and certainly not hot. They got it wrong not once but twice. It may not stop me from returning but as I sat there looking at the largely empty dining room and it made me think there was a reason for it.
Great food and wine! Will definitely return.
Friendly staff and good food!
It’s been better, some dishes were ver good, the pizza was burnt & seemed to be an afterthought
Very nice waiter, Matthew! The food was well prepared and very tasty. It took a little bit of time to get entrees out, but it was relaxing.
We opened the place up for Sunday brunch. Good variety of food selection, good desserts, good drinks, all tasted good! Good service too...all thinks up! We’d go back.
Friendly service. Excellent food. A bit pricey, though, given its in Manayunk.
Restaurant was very attentive to my request for a quiet table.
It has been several years since we’ve been to this gem in Manayunk. What a treat. We definitely will be back.
Food was outstanding as always!!
Great food, wine, environment. As always. Highly recommend.
What a fun relaxing night with great food and wine. It was a lovely evening so the doors/windows were open so we could be part of the Manayunk scene. We shared the mussels, crab cake, meatballs, parmesan fries and brussel sprouts. Not a loser in the bunch. The ice cream taco was shared and while the raspberry sauce was not quite up to my cousins standards it was mighty tasty.
Perfect for lunch with a friend. Cozy, not noisy, and very good food.
All four of us enjoyed our meals and will come back before too long. My escargot and liver were the best!
Thank you to all employees that made the dinning experience at Jake and Coopers awesome. Special shout out to Kelly and Audra for making our B-Day celebration perfect. Thank you!
Special food needs were handled very pleasantly by the kitchen and , especially, by the server
What an awesome place! Those familiar with Manayunk will certainly already know this, they've been there for over 30 years as we found out from the hostess. Decided to do dinner here before a concert at the Mann recently. SUPER nice people on staff from top to bottom. Great wine bar and the beer selection is very good too. Without going through everything we ordered, the food was amazing. The crab cakes were especially awesome - wife says (and I agree) the best we've ever tasted. Can't wait to go back.
The restaurant staff were very accommodating, and the meal was delicious! We brought our own wine, but we had to pay a $15 corkage fee. Besides that, the food was very affordable.
It would be great if there were more vegan options. Food was good, but pricey.
