Jake's and Cooper's Wine Bar
What a fun relaxing night with great food and wine. It was a lovely evening so the doors/windows were open so we could be part of the Manayunk scene. We shared the mussels, crab cake, meatballs, parmesan fries and brussel sprouts. Not a loser in the bunch. The ice cream taco was shared and while the raspberry sauce was not quite up to my cousins standards it was mighty tasty.
Perfect for lunch with a friend. Cozy, not noisy, and very good food.
All four of us enjoyed our meals and will come back before too long. My escargot and liver were the best!
Thank you to all employees that made the dinning experience at Jake and Coopers awesome. Special shout out to Kelly and Audra for making our B-Day celebration perfect. Thank you!
Special food needs were handled very pleasantly by the kitchen and , especially, by the server
What an awesome place! Those familiar with Manayunk will certainly already know this, they've been there for over 30 years as we found out from the hostess. Decided to do dinner here before a concert at the Mann recently. SUPER nice people on staff from top to bottom. Great wine bar and the beer selection is very good too. Without going through everything we ordered, the food was amazing. The crab cakes were especially awesome - wife says (and I agree) the best we've ever tasted. Can't wait to go back.
The restaurant staff were very accommodating, and the meal was delicious! We brought our own wine, but we had to pay a $15 corkage fee. Besides that, the food was very affordable.
It would be great if there were more vegan options. Food was good, but pricey.
Haley our server made our night! Great food and great spot for a date night
Always a great place and time
Consistently good in all areas. The open windows brought the outside in without being on the street.
This restaurant has been a "10" since inception.
Food was excellent, service could have been better. Server was not attentive and questioned if we were staying, forgot our drink order and asked if we were going to order food when we clearly were there for dinner.
Great food and wine!
Excellent food and service. From the salads to the pizzas and some seafood, all dishes well prepared and tasty. Waitstaff were well trained.
Excellent crab cakes
WE had a great meal. BRead was the best we've ever had. We also had gazpacho, shrimp cocktail, tuna tartare, crab cake and 2 delicious desserts. Fabulous meal.
Great food, nice healthy options! Great atmosphere with friendly service.
Amazing meal, it tasted very fresh and wasn’t too heavy.
Super excellent..a truly fun and enjoyable establishment.. has evolved over the years into a very current restaurant with an excellent and fascinating menu
By far, the best crap cakes I have ever eaten!
Great food and excellent service. The menu had great selections.
Atmosphere is very friendly. Servers are knowledgeable and accommodating. Menu is fairly basic but has some unique touches. Vegetarian options are limited. Happy hour at the bar is a great deal.
We had a 2 part night, drinks with 1 group and then dinner with another and were thrilled with everything
Great Father’s Day dinner! Everyone enjoyed it - husband, kids, and grandparents. Enjoyable for all.
My husband and I used to visit here regularly before kids. It was nice to go back with the minis and have great food and kids loved their meals too. It was a nice way to celebrate Father's Day.
Excellent food, but a little pricey though. The service was fantastic and the waiter knew the food and wine menu from top to bottom
One of several visits over the year to this restaurant. This evening, there were several serious culinary lapses. My octopus salad had chunks of octopus that were literally in edible. Either they were raw or possibly chunks of rubber substituting for octopus but you could barely chew them. One in our party got the spicy meatballs which I felt were in edible because they were so spicy. The beet salad was delicious and the highlight Was the ice cream assortment for dessert. If it had not been a business dinner I would definitely have sent the octopus back. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Wednesday night, and our service was excellent
Jake’s and Cooper wine bar was excellent! We enjoyed sitting near the open window. The service was very very good. The food was delightful.
Sunday Brunch is a MUST!!!! Delicious food, excellent service and, of course, bottomless mimosas! Also stay for the live music, beautiful voice, soulful acoustic sound, perfect vibe for a Sunday afternoon. A MUST!
Not what I'd expect from Jake's and Cooper's having been many many many times in thirty odd years. Grilled octopus was quite good, but the Crab Cakes and Short Rib (shared with my GF) were super small portions, lukewarm on a not busy night, and the Crab Cake exterior was coagulated in a weird gluey texture. The vegetable puree was watery and underwhelming, and both dishes were under seasoned.
great food, great service and a noise level that allowed normal conversation. Always have a nice time there.
This is my favorite spot in Manayunk. Servers are always pleasant. Food is always fresh and delicious. Love the open front windows!
Food and service was excellent!!
The wine was better than the food, however, the food came out promptly.
Our go to spot in Manayunk. Great for before a show at the Grape as it is down the street. Awesome food, gracious service and nice atmosphere. The only thing I would add is live guitar music in the bar. We love this place.
We went for my cousin's birthday, and both the food and service were incredible. We loved every second of the experience!
Thank you so very much for taking the time to post about your experience. We really appreciate it!
I love Jakes, I frequent their happy hour at the bar weekly and the service is always amazing! The dinner service for restaurant week was quite a bit different. The server knocked a full glass of wine over during our appetizer, and never replaced it until we requested a new one when our entrees arrived which was welcomed with a face of utter shock and disbelief that it was owed to us given it was her mistake. The food was decent, nothing special and it didn't wow us. Portions were small, but that's a given since it's a promotional restaurant week menu.
