You simply can't go wrong at this restaurant. Spotlessly clean with all COVID precautions in place. Great menu selections. Food quality and portions are second to none.

Surprisingly disappointing. The calamari was chewy, brown and oily. The fries cod was fresh but both the fish and fries were horribly fried. Greasy , dark brown fries.

fish and chips delicious . Salmon with the faro outstanding. Service was perfect. Wonderful place to have dinner.

Our New Year's Eve dinner was very nice. The special menu was a great value and we enjoyed our meals. And the service was excellent!

We felt that very safe and could enjoy our meal without worry of Covid.

It was a nice evening. PIERSON was our server. He gave us dinner suggestions. He was attentive and not in your space. We enjoy Jo’s. they make it easy and delicious.

The place was clean and the service was good and friendly (at least as friendly as the masks allowed!
The food was ok, but not as good as expected, that was the reason for the rating.
We had much better meals the rest of the weekend, so I would not likely return to Jo's on our next trip to Newport.

Our first experience at Jo’s and everything was fantastic! They are extremely “Covid sensitive”, following strict protocol. The pork chop dinner and the scallop dinner were both exceptional! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting.

As always everything was awesome. My favorite is the bistro salad. Everyone had burgers and they were perfect. The fries were amazing as well.

As usual we had our favorites from the pre-fixed menu, because they’re delicious.

We always can count on an excellent meal in a safe environment during these difficult times at Jo’s.

This one of my favorite restaurants. Good food, great service. Beautiful decor.

What a sweet place this is. Warm and welcoming. The host and server were very informative and kind. The food was perfect, my chicken piccata was the best I've ever had. The prix fixe menu was such a great deal- $20 for a drink, starter, and an entree. We couldn't believe it. Thanks for making our trip to Newport one to remember! We will definitely come in again when we are in town.

Wonderful service! A member of our party has a gluten allergy and was very well taken care of! All of our dishes were delicious! Will definitely be dining there again!

Great, Great, Great! I've never felt more like Royalty! Very much a "class act," excellent meal, and service.

While there is still heated outside dining available, Jo's has gone above and beyond to make inside dining safe and very pleasant. The staff is so nice and our server Tracy was extremely attentive. Oh, and the food...yummy... we had fish and chips and the butternut squash pasta, both of which we highly recommend.

The food and drinks were delicious as always, but the coronavirus precautions were so extreme, it made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. We'll wait for a vaccine before returning.

The food was amazing as usual but I was most impressed with the way Jo’s was handling this Covid situation. By far the most comfortable I’ve felt dining out during this crazy time were in. They really went above and beyond to ensure the safety of their guests.

During the Pandemic, Jo's American Bistro is doing a great job keeping clients and employees safe. As they are doing this they are serving great food with a friendly staff.

Spaghetti and meatballs were excellent. Salad was very good. Would eat there again.

My friends and I went for restaurant week and it was amazing. It was everyone’s first time there, and though we were hesitant due to COVID, we were pleasantly surprised at the social distancing precautions and felt very safe. The food was delicious. We got the surf and turf, lobster carbonara, and steak frittes as entrees and everything was amazing! We will definitely be back!
