Our yearly Christmas routine is to go to Joseph's By The Sea in Old Orchard Beach. While they had to adhere to the current Covid restrictions with limited seating, we still had the delicious meal we have come to expect from this restaurant. Can't wait to return next year.

A friend visiting from out of state and I tested four similar restaurants over four evenings. Joseph's by the Sea placed second overall. The only draw back was the portions were a bit smaller. Atmosphere was great with a gas fire logs in the fireplace with adequate social distancing and privacy. Small things lacking for instance were cloth napkins, and after dinner coffee served in paper cups with a lid (tacky). Menu changes were not a problem as each meal is made to order.

We stopped by Joseph's By The Sea on a Sunday morning for brunch when visiting our mother. We were very satisfied with the food (Benedicts, traditional and smoked salmon). A little disappointed that they were out of the corned beef hash, but hey, this is a pandemic. We also enjoyed well prepared mimosas and service was attentive, friendly and very professional.

Always a great experience! Love coming here for dinner and breakfast. Feels very safe especially with COVID. They do a great job.

We have been to Joseph’ s many times, never disappoints! Delicious everything. I often have the the seafood pasta which is outstanding. My husband loves the salmon. In the late spring before they opened inside we ordered curbside several times. Still got tenderloin and , another time, burgers cooked perfectly. Also recommend the haddock. Great cosmopolitans and impeccable service.

Service was wonderful. Tables and people were well spaced. Food was excellent. The only complaint one of our party had was that the chips were not homemade or even local. To make it worse they were served in the bag. I would not expect that in a higher scale restaurant. Maybe a diner. But we would so go back. The risotto was insanely divine.

First time visit despite being in the area for quite a few years. Had Sunday brunch. (It seems that Sunday brunch has been a casualty of the pandemic at many restaurants.) Great spot right on the dunes at OOB. Food was good but not spectacular. Two issues: The online menu is different from the actual menu; that's a sure way to create an opportunity for disappointment. Also, the server had too many tables, most of which involved a hike out to the seating on the front lawn. She made a valiant effort.

Will definitely go back.

The grilled Sea Scallops with apple and ham were beyond amazing! Just such a wonderful meal! My guests absolutely loved their fish dinners too! I can’t say enough good things about just how nice all our dinners were! It’s always great every time I eat there!

Beautiful restraunt right on the waterfront. Rooftop seating allows for beautiful ocean views. The food wasn't great this time (omelette and burnt toast), but I've been here before and everything was perfect. My partner said his strawberry french toast was good.

We went there for our anniversary and both of our birthdays combined. Was not disappointed. Excellent food. Excellent waitress. Best lobster risotto ever. The Saco bay soup was the best ever. I wish we lived closer. A definite must!! 5+ 🌟

Our visit to this restaurant was nice. Chrissy our server was excellent and we enjoyed having our daughter's 21st birthday dinner here.

Such a great view ! We were lucky to have a great weather for an October Sunday brunch. We sat inside but large patio doors were open so we had the beautiful view and fresh ocean air. They are a bi short on staff but the food was good so was the service. Definitely recommended for brunch if you are in the area.

We've been to OOB so many times but never went to Joseph's By the Sea. It was really great, nice views and romantic. Food was wonderful as was the service and all reasonable.

A quiet and wonderful experience on a Sunday morning. The food and service were outstanding, and the weather shined a beautiful day on us on the outside patio. Well worth a visit.

Excellent food quality and outstanding service by Chrissy. The best dining in Old Orchard Beach, by far. We even went back the next day for the Sunday brunch!

We enjoyed a late lunch on a beautiful afternoon at a nice table outside. All precautions were taken to allow us to feel safe. Two of us ordered the lobster roll...very tasty and nicely presented. Another had a fried haddock sandwich which she described as delicious. Our wait person was attentive, professional and friendly. Very lovely experience!

If you want a romantic dinner overlooking the ocean, this is your restaurant. Large spacious windows open out to a beautiful view of dune grass and ocean. The menu is limited and slightly expensive but good to eat. The banana praline for dessert is my favorite!

Wonderful place and they have changed up the menu while keeping some of the classic specialties like the Pasta Maisson!

Joseph's by the Sea is my VERY favorite place to eat in OOB.
The quality of the food, taste and presentation is always A-1.
