Great service and food as always. And good value for money.
Fabulous food as always. Really tasty and lovely experience. We've tried a few Indian's since arriving in the area, but are now locked into this one as it's by far the best! Highly recommended

A good curry, both vegetarian and carnivore had good options
It was a very busy night (Eat out to help out) so the staff were rushed off their feet. The food was excellent, especially the lamb Biriyani . The service was good, we had a flickering light above our table and were a little chilly under the aircon but we will happily go again for the great food and very polite service

A great venue for get togethers with friends and family. The food is always delicious and plentiful with just the right amount of spice. Recommended for Sunday lunch for a reasonable buffet or the evening for very special choices from the a la carte menu. The vegetable choices make it possible for vegan friends to eat there with a lot of variety.

Tonight, Joy was about as busy as I have ever seen it. All the tables were full and they had a couple of really large groups.
Despite apologies from the staff that hinted at the opposite, the services was as good as ever (and that is a high bar), and the food quality hadn’t lapsed in the slightest.
Joy is an excellent, friendly, casual restaurant, that would be equally at home for a special occasion, or a Wednesday that you just fancied a night out. Predictable and good!

I had a lovely meal with 4 friends. The food was delicious and catered to our varying degrees of diets.

As usual the Sunday buffet was delicious. The food was perfect for the group which included two vegans as there is a good choice. For the meat eaters the lamb was especially good as such good meat was used. A great Indian restaurant.
A lovely restaurant with great food and reasonable prices. Well worth checking out.
Table booked 8.30 took two hours for cold food to be delivered to our table, sent it back, finally food came back at 10.45 and was cold. We left the restaurant without eating as we were all past it by that point. Great birthday treat for hubby! No Joy for us.

The best Indian food in Surbiton. Staff very attentive.
Fabulous as ever! We always make a beeline for this place when we visit Surbiton and each time it doesn't disappoint. There is a wonderful variety of dishes, many of them different to the usual curry house fare and they are absolutely delicious! The Paneer Tawa Panjabi remains the best curry I have ever had and their fish curries are also excellent.
We always enjoy Joy - particularly the Sunday buffet which is amazing value. It is a great venue for big family get togethers or eating with friends. The food is extremely tasty and there are wonderful vegetable and fish options on the menu. I have recommended this many many times as we've never had a bad meal.
Middle of the road curry. Sunday is buffet only. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Would like to try a la carte one day

If we head out for an Indian meal locally - this is where we go. The staff are always friendly, good food, promptly served. Dishes true to their description of heat and flavour. Good value.
I'm often accompanies by vegetarians or fish-only dietary and they always find something new to have.
Another fabulous meal at Joy! We tried the fish curries that we hadn't had before and they were stunningly good. Not being in a mood for beer, we had the New Zealand white, which was light and zingy and completed the curries perfectly. This has to be the best Indian restaurant in the wider area. I love one of their dishes so much (the Paneer Tawa Panjabi) that I get multiple takeouts when we're back down, to take back to Yorkshire and freeze to have as my occasional indulgence!
Wonderful place to go on Christmas Eve as a break from the preparations. The food was delicious and we were accompanied by a vegan and vegetarian and there was so problem with them finding choices. The seafood and fish were wonderful

We always like the buffet lunch on Sundays at Joy. The quality of the meat used is great - not full of bones, but lovely, tender pieces of meat. Always plenty of vegetarian dishes - and they very helpfully provided an extra vegetarian curry as one of the group is lactose intolerant. Excellent value for money as well - which means all your friends leave happy!!
Yet again another superb meal at this wonderful restaurant , the food is always full of flavor with each dish having its own distinct taste. Service is as attentive and efficient and most of all friendly overseen by its wonderful owner.

The food here was great, I had a balti which is meant to be served in a balti dish but wasn't.
In terms of service it was ok, we did feel a bit rushed at times.
The restaurant itself I thought was a bit too bright.

Still the best in Surbiton - great value and attentive staff. Never had a bad experience here. In fact, I think I'll go again next weekend.
