   Small restaurant. Great food. Tables were a little close where you can hear multiple conversations. Hoped that restaurant would have overlooked the lake but doesn't.

   Informed during reservations that it was our 25 wedding anniversary and we did not receive any special reconition. We were seated at the side room right by the doors and Windows and it was so cold. The whole dinner experience was very disappointing. We thought we would spend a little more as it was a very special occasion. The bill was very expensive and we were hoping for a special night. 😟 Just a shout out to our server….he was awesome!!!! No disappointment there!! I don’t expect any thing from this, just would like for any future guests celebrating a milestone to be some how recognized.

    This is a small restaurant with a nice menu. The food was excellent and our service was great. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this restaurant. The prices are a little high but the menu is great for sharing. All items were a la carte but large enough to share. The crème brulee was one of the best I've ever had. It's a must have. Leave room for dessert.

    Veal chop special was really great. Service outstanding. Last time we ate here it was not great..we didnt go back for a year but went last night because or usual restaurant was booked. We were very pleasantly surprised and will be back again!

    This is a decent steakhouse; you are paying a Muskoka price premium (i.e. you would expect everything to be a little better for the price if you were to have this in Toronto). I feel like we paid Jacobs & Co prices but it wasn't quite there in terms of service/food. That said, everything was delicious - just pricey. We had the oysters and crab cake to start. The crab cake is supposedly one of their signature items, and it is delicious. We both had steak - I had a filet, and my partner had the prime rib. Cooked perfectly. For sides we had the mushrooms and the mashed potatoes - no complaints. They brought us a massive creme brulee for dessert for a special occasion which was lovely. The biggest downside was they were clearly understaffed. Our waiter (can't remember his name) was great, but he was super busy (as were the other few people working). Drinks took a while to arrive after ordering, and everything was slightly slow. The waiter knew and he did try to make up for it the best he could, which we appreciated.

    Our server, Nitin, could not have been more wonderful. That said, there were not enough servers so as expected, it took longer to get something requested, like refills, etc. This was not his fault. He was working very hard. The crabcakes were divine. I highly recommend. I had the special, cornish game hen. It was very tasty. My only complaint was that I took part of it to go and later realized that the leg and thigh portion was still pink on the inside. After that, I couldn't eat it.

    The Muskoka Chophouse is a very small restaurant. My husband I arrived early for our reservation, because there are only a few tables set for two and although we made a reservation in advance, the restaurant manager told us that they take "walk-ins". He went on to say that they do try, but they can't guarantee the table location or any other requests made at the time of reservation. I found this statement to be a little disappointing. What is the point of making a reservation, if "walk ins" can be put ahead of customers who take the time to reserve? The bumpy start to our evening when greeted by the manager at the reservation desk at the Chophouse was quickly saved - all because of our server, Brenden. He was incredible. Very professional, polite, and knowledgeable with the menu items and wine selections. Brenden made our evening very memorable and special. The steaks (filet and striploin) my husband I both ordered were prepared and cooked to perfection. The side dishes we shared (mushrooms and onions, roasted fingerling potatoes, and grilled asparagus) were flavourful and also cooked to perfection. Our wine selection of Shiraz complimented our meals. Our evening ended with a complimentary cream brulee for two! Dinner at the Chophouse is a little pricey, but well worth it if you want a special evening.

    My wife and I make our annual anniversary visit to The Rosseau, and again Muskoka Chophouse was excellent in every way as it always is. Brendon and the staff make our meal a pleasure and always remember us. Wonderful meal !! Thanks again.

    I celebrated my birthday with my family at Muskoka Chophouse at JW Marriott The staff is AMAZING !!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful dining experience our lovely staff Nisin Brandon and Gleemore they made our night extra special The food is AMAZING!!!!     Great food and service was great - but for the price of the meal I would have preferred to not have kids run in through the non exit door going around out table with bathing suit multiple times screaming. Really took away from our romantic getaway.

    Had a wonderful dinner with my Mom and we had delicious 8oz filets and spot prawns with yummy sides. The restaurant wasn’t busy so it was nice and quiet and our server was very attentive and professional.
