Kincaid's - Bloomington
Key Lime Pie
Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes
We were a party of six, celebrating a 92nd birthday. There was construction going on (though not while we were there), which constricted the size of the restaurant and put tables closer to each other. We still enjoyed our Kincaids experience and will go again! However, it wasn't quite as "spectacular" as it usually is. Service Great--Food Great--Ambience very good, especially when many of the other patrons left. (We were having a late lunch.) No disrespect to anyone, and hopefully the construction will accomplish its goals. But we will return only after the construction is complete.
Food and experience are always good. The area was a bit noisy, but manageable.
Delicious food, but lacking service at 3 pm, no hostess, no acknowledgement of birthday which was in our reservation.
Superb walleye! Love the patio, nice and shaded.
Wonderful as usual!! Delicious food!!
Did not get water or my salad , had to ask about them. Food was ok but not as good or presented as well as before.
Quality the same as maybe Outback Steakhouse. It’s been 2 years since my last visit.
So glad Kincaid's Bloomington dine-in is open again after being closed earlier. Responded to an email advertising a date-night special for an evening of celebration for the two of us; the food was very good, service was excellent, and prices were appropriate.
We ordered pea salad (which I love) and were very disappointed. The recipe must have changed. Very little taste. Needed salt. The pea pods had strings and I finally took them all out. Needed to be cut up.
I ordered shrimp and grits for lunch. I am angry at myself that I did not send them back. The shrimp were so overcooked that I had trouble cutting them with my fork.. SO disappointed.
On the other hand, my friend ordered the open faced crab salad and that was wonderful.
Our waiter never asked once if our food was okay. I did tip 20% because he brought everything quickly.
I usually love coming to eat at Kincaids. This was an exception.
This was our first tine to Kincaid’s. We received gift cards for Christmas. Food was good but way overpriced for the quality. We also used our gift cards but only 2 of the 3 worked so we had to pay the extra. They told me to call the number on the back of the certificate the next day so I did. The certificate was still valid so now I have to scan the receipt and certificate to get a refund. We were not impressed.
We didn't get our food - an hour after sitting down, and 45 minutes after ordering, we needed to leave.
Outdoor seating is intimate and casually elegant in a way that works for a business meal or a special celebration. We happened to be celebrating an anniversary and ended our delightful dinner by strolling off the patio for a walk around the lake.
I was disappointed in the quality of the food. It tasted "mass produced." I was expecting a fine dining experience, but this seemed like pre-prepared. The service was poor and we barely saw our server, he did not describe our options, outside of the special of the evening. We have been to Kincaid's in the past and the service and quality has gone down hill. We were very disappointed in the quality, especially for the cost.
Great food, server, and overall great. Had an awesome evening.
Everything was good except construction work in the middle of the restaurant.
Nice birthday meal. we'll be back sometime soon!!
Kincaid's Patio never disappoints! Lovely ambiance, great service and delicious food!
If you're not from the area it can be tricky to find. Parking is in a parking garage. We made a reservation, though it seemed unnecessary they said it's best due to short staffing. Good was good and service was timely.
Great place for an anniversary celebration. Met very interesting people at other tables as well
Jorge the server was great but the roof in the dining room was being painted and the music in the dining room was also way too loud. Someone had a bad idea to turn it up.
The ambiance of dining outside on a warm summer evening was perfect.
Our food was excellent.
Our server was horrible, catered to those patrons who were drinking. Since we do not, we were treated badly. Brought us wrong drink, never offered us bread, general inattentiveness. If we return, we'll definitely ask to avoid him.
There is some construction going on. Our table was seated right by (not quite under) a bunch of scaffolding. While it made it quieter because there weren’t tables of people behind us, is was a little odd to be sitting in a construction zone. It was a bust Saturday night so not other seating options…I’d be sure to ask/clarify if you are being seating near the construction.
Great waiter, but service was slow. Like everywhere staff shortage!
Excellent meals - prime rib, cooked perfectly.
Went for drinks on the patio! It’s so peaceful and relaxing out there absolutely a great night. Service was slow so I’m not sure if they were short staffed they didn’t seem overly busy.
It had been awhile since our last visit to kincaid's, everything was as remembered, our server was top notch and the food was outstanding
Kincaid's is tops in their field. Their food, ambience and service are unequalled. Favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities area!
Food was amazing the dessert was out of the world highly recommend the bread pudding
Walleye was great...as was the service. Thank you for a great meal!
If eating inside ask to be seated away from the construction zone.
We went during restaurant week and had a wonderful experience.
It was busy, so despite a reservation, we were seated 20 late.
The prime rib was so fabulous. Everything else was good too.
We ordered from the special 3 course for $35 menu. The food was excellent and a nice choice of entrees.
The food is not as good as it used to be making it much less of a value.
Excellent foodservice and value. We did not feel hurried and had great experience.
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. They ask on the reservation if you are celebrating something special plus the waitress asked too. Yet there's nothing special provided. Why ask?? My wife had the Chicken Roulade. She loved it. I had the walleye which was a big disappointment. It came in the shape of 2 fish sticks. It didn't even taste like walleye. For a restaurant which specializes in fish, this was a big disappointment. The clam chowder and Caesar Salad were very good. The 2 deserts were also good. The building is currently painting the ceiling. They have this huge scaffold in part of the main dinning area. One would think this could have been done last year during Covid when there were no customers.
Construction scaffolding in the middle of the restaurant
The outside dining here is the best. Amazing food and staff.
Great service and food
Kincaid's has really good food and service. It was a little chilly inside the restaurant, but I feel like it was because there weren't a lot of people there.
Kincaids has gone down hill!
Attentive staff, flavorful food, dependable quality in a setting that seems a little corporate but is actually just what you need to have good conversation with fam and friends. Never too loud which is maybe why it seems so popular with the grey hairs? Plus, they were very kind to my 3yo. Little kids (needing to get wiggles out) find the water fountains, stairs and outdoor area engaging!
