A great meal. Service was tolerably slow.
The food was fair at best and quite expensive.
The wait staff was excellent and the food terrific.
Our server was fantastic and the food delicious!
We went here for our wedding anniversary. It had been several years since our last visit, but we won't wait that long before returning. The food was outstanding, as was the service. We had a nice table by the window and enjoyed seeing downtown St. Paul active again!
Unfortunately, we were seated close a very large group who were drinking and were very loud. We therefore had to speak above their voices in order to have our own conversation.
Service was slow and perfunctory. Salmon was overcooked. Seafood and pasta was oversauced.
Wonderful the food was amazing The drinks were wonderful I still give it a five but it would be awesome to have a military discount...
Bjorn was a very pleasant Waiter.
Great food and service. Surprised that the lobster add on was one of the best I've ever had
My wife and I had a wonderful meal last night. My filet was perfecto!
Will go again.
I ordered the Prawn and Shrimp Fettuccine. After the appetizer came the wait person came and said sorry, all out. I then switched to the walleye fillet. they could not (or would not pan fry so it was baked (and dried out), The plate presentation was a mess and did not look appetizing at all. Couldn't get rice with the meal as it came with mashed potatoes. Very disappointed for an expensive meal.
Wonderful service and very accommodating for substituting items for our two kids. Excellent food and couldn’t have asked for a better server!!
Excellent food. Rick is a great waiter. The halibut is always wonderful.
One of the best meals and service I have had in a long time (and I go out to eat a lot)! We started with the Shrimp and grits which were absolutely delicious. When I go back, and I will, I will probably order that for my meal. Our server Rick was knowledgeable about the menu, made suggestions, and was attentive even though they were short on staff and he had quite a few tables. My Son had the Lavender Cosmo and said it was the best drink he has ever had. I agree...unique flavor and not too sweet or too strong. I only get to St. Paul about once a year, but again, I will definitely be back!!!
My wife ordered the filet mignon medium rare, came out well done. So dry she could hardly chew it. I ordered the prime rib medium rare came out medium well. Very disappointing for a high end steak restaurant and when paying nearly $50 per steak
My mom recommended this place for our anniversary and it was amazing! We had prime rib, lobster and the wedge salad. I would highly recommend!
Lobster bisque and pea salad were amazing. Service was professional and attentive. Meats were over cooked and under seasoned.
Clam chowder was great. Walleye was very nice size, but could have used a touch of lemon. Jams were not fully cooked. Creme Brule was great.
Service was excellent!
Ambiance is always nice - not too loud, just nice conversations.
Unfortunately we were seated next to a larger group that was quite loud. There were 2 two older people in our party of 4 that had a difficult time hearing our conversation. We had a early reservation, thinking that we would be seated before the "dinner " crowd showed up, but it seemed that the early parties were "clustered" together.
Perfect place in downtown St. Paul for lunch. Good food, attentive and friendly service.
Great atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, excellent food, worth every penny!
Great food. Good service. Great place for a special dinner.
It was a STUNNING meal. The food was superb, the service spot on, and cocktails delicious.
Service was excellent in restaurant and bar area.
Food was great. I had prime rib and it was just the way I like it Rare! Wife's filet was a bit overdone but still juicy and tasty. Marcus (our server) was attentive but not bothersome.
Prior to the pandemic over a year ago, we enjoyed dinner at downtown St. Paul restaurants - Kincaids, the Grill, Pazzaluna and Meritage. On Friday night,
four of us went to Kincaids to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend. Two ordered fish and chips, which were OK and two ordered the half rack of ribs, which were terrible. They were so tough we could not cut them with our knives, so we had french fries and a tablespoon of cole slaw. When the server came to take our plates, I told him we were unable to eat the ribs because they were too tough to cut. The GManager came over and said she would not charge us for the ribs; however 2 of us had little to eat . We would like to patronize downtown St. Paul restaurants but certainly will not return to Kincaids. Kincaids used to be a top restaurant! What happened?
52nd Wedding Anniversary
Excellent experience. Nice wine list. Plenty of menu choices. Perfect service.
We were impressed.
Great St Paul location with excellent service and incredible food!
Sheryl the Gm is very welcoming and accommodating. Thanks fir a great evening.
Kincaid's is our anniversary restaurant. We had reservations last night for #22 after they saved us from St. Paul Grill two years ago. It was nice to be back. This time we brought our daughters. They gave us a nice booth overlooking Landmark Plaza and Landmark Center.
We started off with a Moscow Mule and Lemondrop martini. Delicious. Next was oven roasted crab and artichoke dip and crispy calamari. Both were good. The only small issue was that the calamari was served a little too soon, because the crust was still soggy, but it crisped up after a couple of minutes. Our entrees were prawn and scallop fettucine - which was awesome, and oven-roasted chicken dijon - also very good. We finished off the evening with coffee and crème brûlée - mmm.
The service was good all evening. We will be back again next year if COVID allows. Our daugthers gave it two thumbs up.
I don’t think you can go wrong here, regardless of what your order. From cocktails to the app to our entrees, we were beyond satisfied.
And Sophia, our server, was top-notch. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable not only the menu but St Paul itself. She knew when to check on us and when to let us be.
We ate here on a Thursday night in the bar and found it a truly enjoyable experience.
Our steaks were over cooked and dry. The service was not very attentive and our server seemed very distracted
Food was very good. Service was really good. Waitress was knowledgeable, considerate, patient, and ready fun.
Kincaid’s is a lovely staple of St Paul.
One thing that could improve the experience for me would be a couple of vegetarian options so I can come often and have choice.
Enjoyed our dinner at Kincaid's. Service was great as was the food. Only down side was I requested a quiet booth and was seated next to a table of 6. Overall a good evening.
This place has really lost its luster. I think only reason it has stayed open is location and no steak competitors in downtown st. Paul. Hasn't been remodeled in 20 years. Food used to be great, now it is just average. Bummer as this used to be my go to place to entertain clients.
Everything about our evening at Kincaid's was excellent!
