Great experience. Open table secured us the spot and the restaurant did the rest!! We happily recommend this place. We had Fried Chicken and red beans as well as the shrimp po boy. (They call it a Bahn Mi…but we all know it’s a po boy!). Yummy!!! Service was great. Greeting at the door was professional. Definitely go there!!!

The host was amazing and friendly as we stepped up and showed us to our seats, and was friendly even as we exited the restaurant. We had a wonderful server, Leon, that made us feel welcome and brought us champagne to celebrate our anniversary. We’ve been looking forward to returning to Kingfish since we first visited in 2018. The crispy brussels sprouts with goat cheese was addictive. My husband had the red beans and rice with buttermilk chicken dinner and enjoyed it. I had the barbecue shrimp on mascarpone grits, and I was a little disappointed at the over-seasoning. I had had the same dish back in 2018 and remembered it as outstanding. The Pimm’s cup never fails to please, and his Manhattan was similarly great. The crispy brussels sprouts with goat cheese was addictive.

This was the perfect spot to make dinner reservations after a spooky walking tour! It's just far enough from the noise and traffic of bourbon street to be a nice date spot while still being close to great bars and shops. I had the chicken entree and it was amazing!

The kitchen was not properly staffed, and the waitstaff and management were not communicating well with the guests. We asked for an estimate of how long our food would take after waiting an hour and being told several times out meals were next out. Our server became verbally aggressive and accused us of assault. We ended up leaving before we could eat. This could have been just one bad night in the restaurant, but there is no excuse for the way we were treated.

Hostess was amazingly happy and set us up for a great experience. She is a gem. Waitress Asia (I think I got that right) also was super friendly and had great recommendations. Restaurant was lit by great natural light where we were seated. And in NOLA, i appreciated that AC. Everything was except my French toast was a bit burned. Wasn’t awfully charred but it did hurt the taste and texture but not enough for me to send it back. Overall, I’d absolutely return and recommend.

Main issue was my wife got a shrimp and crawfish Étouffée which is a staple of New Orleans and not only did it come in the smallest portion I've ever experienced, out of the many times we've had this dish, but the rice wasnt even cooked. Legitimately just hard crunchy rice with a small ladle of liquid and just 4 shrimp..FOUR. Incredibly overpriced for what was served. As well, the waiter was not in the slightest bit surprised by this and even stated "yeeeah, im sorry, i bet it was cold too" Just a shocking response. My po boy was good, but its pretty hard to mess that up. Would not recommend, and will not go back.

The menu was completely different and many favorite items were removed…very sad about this!
