King's Fish House - Calabasas
Farmed Idaho Trout
Service was wonderful, especially Caitlin. Good spacing between tables for this point in time. Food was great and I love the ambience.
It took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. Food and drinks were super slow and the oysters were not fresh.
King’s is a go-to place for fish. We’ve been dining there for many years and it never disappoints. The food and service are consistently solid and satisfying. It’s neither fancy or special, but it’s still one of our favorites.
Great service. Good food. Disappointed there was no New England Lobster
on the menu. Only local spiny lobster. After all, isn't Kings a fish specialty
Everything was perfect. Went for my husbands 70th birthday, make reservations on line and mentioned the bday. Waiter knew without having to say anything. Our waiter was Juaquin, very professional. Food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. My husband had the full lobster tail and the price was surprisingly reasonable.
Will go back again and again.
Staff was amazing, food was excellent!
Always a pleasure! This is our go to spot on Friday nights!
It was our anniversary. I noted it on my reservation and when I got to the restaurant. Nobody mentioned it. This happened once before with a birthday. I guess whoever is at the front hostess desk doesn’t really read the info on the reservation. Lesson learned. Food was great as was the server!
One of the best seafood restaurants around. It’s our go-to Place when we are entertaining out of town guests as well as ourselves.
They have a sewage problem. Apparently, according to our server, it’s the issue of the landlord and is not being addressed. It smelled like raw sewage during our entire meal which came out cold mind you. The food would have been okay if it wasn’t cold. I’m not sure how 8 different meals AND apps came out cold but who knows. The server was very nice and the restaurant is pretty.
I really like the remodel. It's nice and open now. And I like the food. Service was okay. It's good and I'll return.
Server was nice, but the service was beyond slow. I think it's too big a restaurant for the amount of servers working there. Also my fish was overcooked.
Food and service was amazing !!!😃
The Wife and I decided to head out to King's Fish House for a dinner, we were in the mood for some fish/seafood. We started with the Octopus, absolutely amazing, great flavor and texture as well as the Caponata. Then we ordered our entrees, I ordered he Chilean Sea Bass off of the "Grilled Seafood & Meat" menu and not the "Fish House Menu" (both are made differently) and my Wife had the macadamia crusted Alaskan Halibut. The Chilean Sea Bass was excellent, but the Halibut was a little dry and seemed kind of chewy. In all fairness we did not say anything, but felt it was okay, but not worth the cost. We will give them another try, and if we are not happy with the order, we will ask for a replacement to give it a fair try.
Will be returning
Love Kings great food and super service but was not happy with our seating experience.
Had a confirmed reservation for the outdoor deck. Upon arrival we were told they were waiting for a table to open. 20 minutes later we were offered the lower deck and said we would prefer the regular deck. We ended up on the lower deck with blankets. Just not a comfortable experience.
This place never fails to impress. The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared.
Although we had a confirmed reservation, and checked in with the hostess station 1 hr and 45 min prior to the reservation time, we were not called for our table at all. We checked in a 2nd time about an hour prior to the reservation time, and then again just before... when the resy time passed my husband went up to the stand and inquired. They proceeded to explain how they called our phone several times and checked all around the bar - which when we showed our phones (no calls) and asked the people at the bar next to the hostess if anyone had approached them (they said no).... so the trying to blame the customer thing was a real turn off...... They then sat us. The server was very good, thank goodness - and the manager (who had been at the hostess station and part of the blaming the customer crew) eventually came to her senses, came to the table, apologized, and comped our drinks. It was a bad experience, but in the end they did the right thing.
I will go back
The assistant manager Olivia and the waiter/server Jorge R were both attentive, courteous and helpful. Both are a credit to the restaurant.
Good, I can recommended to a friends, family, etc.
Kings is always a safe bet for great seafood...and they didnt disappoint. Had a bit of a struggle to get a time that worked for us but once we were in you wouldnt know how busy they were. We were seated at 4 top on the outside at the back patio and the food was good, the ambience was nice and the wait staff was great.
You guys made it a perfect evening! The ambience was so exquisite. The entrees were excellent. My girl was so impressed...no doubt we will be back!
Loved the sea bass! So delicious. The Asian sauce with veggies is the best!!
Always a pleasure to dine at Kong’s. A Sunday after theater tradition for our family for many years. The remodel has made it more comfortable and inviting. The menu offers wonderful variety including selections for friends who prefer vegetarian or other non fish entrees but also prefer your company.
Parents 40th Anniversary
Delicious food, attentive and congenial service, generous portions. Drinks are superb! On National Margarita Day,we had the Cadillac and Desert Rose. Great drinks to order. Tip: the patio is very warm thanks to the heat lamps even on a cold evening, and much quieter than inside. Don't be afraid to eat al fresco for dinner even if it's chilly.
The servers are pleasant and they all work hard. There on a Friday night, and the restaurant is woefully understaffed. So, in spite of the server's best efforts and great attitudes, the wait for food is extremely long. Wine that was ordered took about 30 minutes. Overall distasteful experience. MANAGEMENT!! GET IT TOGETHER. QUIT LUSTING FOR MORE AND MORE MONEY, AND INSTEAD PUT YOUR EFFORTS INTO THE CUSTOMER, WHO IS PAYING HIS OR HER HARD EARNED MONEY. Food was pretty good.
It was very noisy inside so we asked if it's quieter out on the patio - it was MUCH quieter, which we appreciated. It was a cool rainy night, so we thought we may not enjoy the outdoor patio, but there were plentiful heaters around us and it worked out for a great evening.
Oysters are amazing, the wine is delicious, and the manager helped relocate us with the baby which was really nice.
Really good restaurant, great food and the new atmosphere is electric. Prices have gone up a bit, but it still is well worth it, as long as the quality of the food remains great
Our waiter was great! Clam chowder excellent!!! We enjoy coming to our favorite seafood restaurant!!
Great experience. I went to Kings 12 years ago, and loved the new changes to the decor and food.
Excellent as usual. I would recommend this place to everyone for any occasion!
Love the oysters and sushi!
Great food. Staff is friendly, but when the restaurant gets crowded service level drops quite a bit. Mondays are really bad because a lot of the other restaurants in the area are closed so there is more of a crowd. Parking lot is also really crowded and people are pretty aggressive so watch your step as you walk through it.
For the past 10+ years, we come to King's 2 or 3 times a year. This Sunday evening was a disappointment ... it did not matter that we had a reservation we had to wait almost 20 minutes while the front desk coordinated with the cleanup staff to get tables ready. Another 10 minutes wait after being seated waiting for a waiter to ask us for a drink order. Eventually, the waiter took our dinner order. He stopped by a while later to apologize "The kitchen is a traffic jam, sorry for the delay, I'll do what I can - everything is coming out late." When dinner was finally served it was cold, the portions were the smallest we have ever been served at King's. There must have a new chef. Do not know if or when we will try King's again. $10 an ounce for room temperature fish does not make us want to return ...
Amazing services and fish that melted in my mouth like butter. Always enjoy dinning here.
The steak was a bit tough. Out her than that, all was good
Overall it was good. I wanted the whole fish but they had run out so I had to change my order. The octopus app we got was a little tough. But all in all it was good.
