Our server was fantastic! Helpful and fun.
Just started offering brunch so gave it a try. Great food, the steak and eggs choice was HUGE. Great drinks, Stephanie provided excellent service.
Had a fun night prior to a comedy show. Barb was a very kind server.
Made a reservation for 8 to celebrate my daughters 20th birthday. We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time in order to get our table ready. We were seated and then shortly after a waitress came to our table and said she would bring us waters and I asked if we could have a couple of children’s menus and she said she would bring them. We then proceeded to wait, and wait and wait. No water, no menus, no waitress. Our waitress was tending to 2 tables near us, chatting, bringing drinks, to go boxes, and never once looked our way or stopped back by us. 25 min later a man brings us waters and says nothing about our extended waiting and then is extremely short and hurried to want to take our food orders. We were just wanting to order drinks at this point. I asked if our service was going to be timely or would we be left again. He said I’m here now and I’m taking your order. A simple apology and possibly acting like he cared that there clearly was some sort of issue with the staff would’ve been appreciated but he did not care. My 11 year old asked to order a pop and he said I’m not taking drink orders right now I’m taking food orders, clearly he wasn’t aware that in our 35-40 of being there no one had taken our drink order. I don’t know what Kona’s issue is but they seemed under staffed, barely anyone customers were there and yet they were turning people away saying it was an hour wait. For the price Kona wants to charge for their food they should work a lot harder on their customer service because wait staff is terrible. Not the first time we’ve had issues, but it is now the last we will not be back.
Great food and drinks! My boyfriend has never been here, so we went for date night. Got the margarita flight and casamigos margarita. For dinner we both had steak. I like the Sirloin, DELICIOUS.
Reservation system worked well. We got in quite close to the reserved time. Waiter was very nice (actually all staff contact was very nice). The pot stickers were quite flavorful but I like a bit more crisp. Wave roll was tasty as well but kind of fell apart. Good though.
Lime chicken was actually really good so maybe I should have rated food higher. Tomato basil soup was just ok and Asian salad just ok. Nothing crunchy in the Asian salad. Those two items were reason for mediocre food rating.
Service - very friendly but the bar service (getting one beer) took a really long time and getting the second came after the meal was over and then some. I didn't get the impression it was incompetence but rather just under staff. So great service when present but mostly absent from the entire meal.
Our server, Brandon, did a great job of reviewing the menu and checking back with us. His recommendations for the Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon and Macadamia Nut Chicken were excellent. We'll be back for more.

Easy parking, reservations and seating. Waiter was nice and very helpful. NOT a fan of menus on my phone. Please bring back the regular menu. Food was good too. Hostess was kind enough to snap photos of our group.
I'm sorry the host did not ask if you wanted a paper menu when you arrived. They are always available. We are glad to hear you loved your meal! We are a scratch kitchen and take pride in using the freshest ingredients to ensure you have the highest quality meal.
The Picasso roll is outstanding, and the potstickers for happy hour are a killer deal.

Service was very sub par. We made it at 545 for our reservations and ordered drinks right away. She knew we were ordering off the happy hour menu that ended at 6. We didn’t get our drinks or our order till 615. Told her we wanted to order off the happy hour menu because we’ve been ready to order for 25 minutes, and she said she couldn’t but then asked the manager and they honored it. Two of the people I was with had their food out by 630, and she said sorry I didn’t want their food to get cold, I don’t have your sushi yet. Well, they of course waited for my sushi to get out before eating. My sushi didn’t come out till 7! So not only are their plates cold, but they don’t even offer to comp the sushi or any of their food. Server was not apologetic and didn’t seem to care that it had been 45 minutes from ordering that it came out. We didn’t even end up cashing out till 730. Absolutely ridiculous. A meal that should have taken 45 minutes from start to finish took nearly 2 hours.

We normally move Kona. This time we ordered as usual and 45 mins later still k food. The place was nearly empty also. When we asked what was going on the waitress said the cooks didn’t she up and the manager is cooking. Well, she should have told us when we sat down. You can assume that a lunch that takes an hour and a half to eat due to a 45 min wait just for the food is acceptable. Not letting us know when we sat down was completely wrong on top of it one order came out nothing like how it supposed to and when we mentioned it the waitress said it’s because the cook isn’t here well that is not a reason to make up a recipe or do not tell somebody that their food will not be out for at least 45 minutes completely unacceptable our past experiences of liking the place have been overshadowed by this experience that is not how a restaurant should treat customers at least be honest when you walk in.

Excellent service and great food. My wife and I sit in the happy hour area and we felt safe and really enjoyed the night out.

We were new to Kona Grill, and our server was awesome at helping us and getting us started. Quite possibly one of the best happy hours in Omaha.
Also, Kirin Ichiban > Sapporo so Sake Bombs are go!
Worse service ever!! Server could’ve cared less we were even there. Never checked backed, didn’t ask how matting was. Didn’t even see her til was time to order the first time or pay.

Food is really good but on the pricey side. The patio was a little chilly and the rain water was seeping in.
Food was fantastic, but experience not so much. They were short staffed it seemed like as you could see kitchen staff bringing out the food and managers taking orders. All that is fine (and they apologized), however, they were servicing other tables and checking up on them as soon and they could, but didn't come to our table until we got their attention.

Took forever to get our food and pay the bill. Kona hiked up their prices for mediocre food. Won’t be returning.
Waited 30 min after our reservation time to get seated, took 30 min to see a server once we were seated, about another 20 min to get drinks then ended up with a steak that was so spicy it was inedible. Only took $10 off the bill. Will never go back

Good food slow service. We would have stayed for another drink but couldn't get service. After almost 30 minutes I had to go get waitress for our check.

Had a reservation, but BIG back-up in people waiting to be seated. The employee who greeted us said it was slower because her manager took over and wanted to control the seating. The manager was not very people-oriented, in fact, he was pretty rude with his guests waiting to be seated. Once we were finally seated it took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to wait on us. He took our order and we didn't see him again for another 15 minutes when he finally brought our drinks. That continued through the visit as we waited a LONG time for everything (under-staffed?). Pretty much sums up our experience with management and service staff. Very disappointing. The food was excellent.

Great place to get together with friends. Nice location with plenty of room.
They could get some shades in there patio area for the west sun in the evenings. They have tinted windows but not ample to what is needed.

The sushi is very good and the glazed salmon was excellent. Kona was clearly understaffed from a waiter standpoint.

We had a reservation for 7:45 but they said they had a lot of unexpected door dash orders so we weren’t seated until after 8:00. Then we ordered and didn’t get our food for over an hour. I get that it was a holiday (Valentines day), but they should have planned for the extra take-out orders and not punished those of us that had reservations to eat there. Also - I ordered surf and turf and the steak to be medium rare. I got one filet that was medium well and the other one was just uncooked. It wasn’t even rare. My husbands chicken was very good and my lobster was good too. Our veggies were very delicious.
They did pay for our drinks as an apology for our long wait.
We had a reservation and watching couples walk in that didn’t was upsetting. After waiting 20 mins for a 7:00 reservation we were finally seated.
I'm sorry you felt that we were sitting guests that did not have a reservation. We did not have any walk-ins for Valentine's Day. We always make our guests with reservations our priority. We did experience longer delays in the evening as guests relaxed at their tables longer than normal.
I have eaten at Kona Grill many times over the years but it has been at least 2 years since we’ve been there.
I felt the menu was very limited so I decided to have the stir fry. It was good but not worth $27. I ordered a glass of wine and sent it back because it did not taste right. Just a disappointment fir Valentines Day.

We have always loved Kona and were excited to go for Valentine’s Day. We waited for over an hour for our food. The food was so late we had to get my husband’s to go because we were late to our next engagement. The waitress said they were slammed with online orders. Just not an ideal experience.
They jacked the prices up for Valentine's Day. What amounted to 2 drinks ($14 each), 4 apps, and a terrible dessert was $125 plus tip. Will never go to Kona again.
I'm sorry that we did not supply the service and quality of food that lives up to the price. I hope you come visit us during our all-day Happy Hour on Sundays.
Service was incredible, sushi was good, but the surf and turf did not deliver.

We went for my boyfriends birthday. We ordered two appetizers, two steak and lobster dinners, and two rolls. We both asked for the steaks to be medium rare. His came out well done. We told the manager and when he brought my boyfriends new meal, he took his other one that had the lobster he was saving to eat with the redone steak. We finished our meals then waited about 15 minutes, I planned on ordering dessert as well but we had other plans we had to get to by 8:30 so we didn’t order dessert. We haven’t ate at Kona in awhile and I’m not sure we will return after that, I really wanted him to have an awesome dinner for his birthday and it wasn’t.

As soon as we walked in we noticed a sewer smell, the service was slow, the food was bad and one of our meals was actually not edible. The server seemed stressed and had too many tables to be attentive. Kona used to be a great place and has gone really downhill, which is sad to see. It was a birthday celebration and unfortunately a waste of almost 200 dollars. Will not refer to others and wont return.
Good experience, we have chosen Kona for a lot of our occasion over the years and it always been pleasant.

Good food, good service. Terrible drink. Ordered a basic vodka tonic and either the tonic was bad or they used soda water vs tonic water Not great for a $10/drink. The rest of the food and service was good. It wasn't worth hassling sending it back as if it was the tonic then we just ended up with 2 disappointing drinks.
