The chefs will create a unique menu to their own personal style starting with "snacks", followed by a main course with multiple side dishes, finishing with dessert. Guest bartenders will create fun cocktail pairings offered separately from ticketed price. A portion of all tickets will be donated to local charities.

My last experience eating at La Brasa, way before Covid, left a great memory. When I thought where to eat for my birthday, that memory emerged. Anticipating all those unique choices from before, more like a tapas menu, at 1st I was disappointed. The menu was completely different. Sides, appetizers & dinners. Pricey! But we went for it. And were NOT disappointed! I can't rave enough! It was the best, tastiest meal I can remember. We got our money's worth. 2 orders of Oysters, hushpuppies, ribeye, chicken - both so tender with sauces accompanying them I would never make myself. Enough for 2 more meals. The main courses came with a side of warm handmade blue corn tortillas & a flavorfull bowl of black beans. Do I dare mention that we both had their flan?!
The food in general was awesome and very fresh! My only thing was the churros, they were a little greasy. That’s the only thing, everything else was really good and top notch! My favorite was diabla pizza and flautas w mole. We did have a vegan friend come, wish there were some great vegan options other than salad. Drinks were 100% crafted and made w love! So good!

Brought my son and his girlfriend to dinner for his birthday and we had an exceptional time. Ambiance, food and drink were excellent; along with the superb assistance throughout by Kathleen B. The go to place in Somerville or anywhere else in the area.
Limited menus due to covid. Food was alright but not what we expected.
The service and food was great. The menu online was not updated, and we were sad to find out they did not offer dollar oysters. That said, it was a great, socially distant experience overall, and highly recommend it to folks looking to enjoy an evening out.
The restaurant had a pop-up guest chef, Costa. His menu was Japanese inspired and delicious. We started with pork belly in rice wrapped in seaweed and marinated beef, followed by duck confit and sea bass collar. Everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly.
The service was impeccable and friendly.

The grilled pescado was amazing! We were served quickly and well waited on. This has been staple go to spot and continues to be so. Great food and service!
We love La Brasa! This was our first time dining indoors since March due to Covid and the team at La Brasa did an excellent job ensuring everyone was safe. The revamped menu was delicious – my favorite thing we ordered was the pollo. Don’t forget to get churros for dessert!
La Brasa is always a great place to go. The food is delicious! Chef Daniel always has a new menu. We had pizza, and tacos and couldn’t decide which was better. Thank you for always knocking our socks off!

Perfect setting for a relaxed brunch! Menu isn’t too big but lots of options. Loved the cold brew mocktail! Service was fair, very friendly but extremely slow and somewhat inattentive. The food was tasty but my dish was listed as having chicken on top and I only had 1 small piece of shredded chicken in my dish. My egg was also undercooked. But overall would try again given the cute decor and bright open space.
Have been coming here for years and it was really on point the other night. Food was fabulous, great atmosphere and looking forward to being back soon!
Everything looked and sounded great! However, the flavor palette of the snacks and appetizers left a bit to be desired - Filling, visually appealing but a bit pedestrian. Your taste buds may not be wowed. Dessert items are a bit better ...

I came with my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. The staff were very kind and tried to accommodate my boyfriend who was using crutches. Overall, a very good meal!
Always a favorite! From the exquisite cocktails, to the thoughtful menu, the whole La Brasa experience is simply wonderful.

Went for Valentines day with my lovely wife. Had a very good meal. The food is consistently very good. the cocktails are excellent. The wine list is small but very good and very reasonably priced. The empanadas were fabulous. Avocado Chocolate mouse was really special. The wood grilled lobster along with the skirt steak were very very good. My only complaints were that the knuckles connected to the lobster claws weren't cracked. these were hard shell lobsters and there is a lot of succulent meat in there that we weren't able to enjoy. That said, we did have enough to eat. Also, if you are going to serve lobster you should have packaged handwipes or steamed towels and lemon for patrons to clean their hands. Otherwise we had a lovely time and look forward to going back
It was a lively place but the music a little too noisy and temperature too cool. The food was interesting and very varied but very salty and we were offered additional. The service was very good.
Always an outstanding dining experience. Comfortable environment, pleasant, professional service, unique cocktails and wine list, flavorful, creative, well prepared food.

Really Interesting decor, arrived right when they opened at Five on a Thursday and we were two of about 5 people in the entire place the first hour.
Really excited to come here after seeing it on phantom gourmet but overall left disappointed. Very small menu designed to be a number of shared dishes which is fine but still smaller portions at high prices adds up fast. Also didn't really find it to be Mexican food. Dishes all had Mexican origins to an extent but were really just trendy chef plates. I would say go check it out but do yourself a favor and review the menu first.

Wonderful staff wonderful food!
Service was poor but an 18 percent gratuity was still added to the check. When we told the server that the duck confit was charred, she completely ignored us and said that’s just what mole tastes like. Repeatedly told her no one in our party eats pork and asked for a burger without bacon and the burger still had bacon on it. Had to go up to her to ask for the check. Food was good minus the duck.
The empanada was all oil, which was disappointing. The cocktails were fantastic and overall a fun dining experience, just mildly disappointed in the vegetarian options.
The food was too spicey, too much of spices and whatever else they mixed in it. They overdid it with the hot sauce in everything.
Appetizers were great, but not the main dishes.
Unfortunately the recommendation only offers Yes or No. For the quality of the food it should be a maybe. Thus, this review will be a mixed bag.
I grew up in Somerville (1960s to 1990s) and remember this area as not dynamic. So I appreciate the investment the restaurant has made here.
Let me itemize my points.
- Parking is a challenge, but I knew this and it did not bother me. This area is up and coming but the competition for spots was not present.
- Upon entering the restaurant (on-time) we found our table was not ready despite what seemed to be a quiet setting. Maybe 20% of tables occupied.
- The staff were in-tune as we had a toddler with us and perfectly placed the child seat between 2 regular seats.
- We had a changeover in staff shifts that was smooth.
- We ordered appetizers and entrees. All the food was cooked well. Cudos to the chefs.
- Two of our party had previously dined here. They ordered what they thought was the rib-eyed that they had before. Each thought it was different compared to the previous visit. One claimed their steak was over cooked. The overcooked steak was picked at.
- One diner order medium hamburger and was delivered rare. Although they enjoyed the burger as it was.
- Ossobuco ordered by one party, loved it. It looked great and was quite superior to what I have seen in other restaurants.
- I ordered the Duck Confit. Enjoyed it, but it could have been less salty. Never had this dish before so I could be wrong about the salt. The frustrating experience with this dish was that it was delivered well after the other dinners.
- Portions were good but the pricing was too much of a premium.
- Service was spotty. We requested soda water 3x. After not ordering another drink my drink was removed before the last sips.
- The cocktails we ordered were very good.
- Really liked the interior. I like how it is laid out and comfy it felt. I did not check the bar. But if I lived in the neighborhood I would stop in for a drink.
enjoyed another delicious meal at La Brasa, they didn't disappoint! Our waitress was prompt but not pushy and we had a great meal! Tried new foods, had great cocktails, it was fab.
Food was great AGAIN. I’ve been to La Brasa over the years since they opened and it one of the few restaurants that I can always rely on. I’ve never had a subpar meal there. The menu has changed quite a bit but chef Daniel and his team hit homeruns again.
The service was poor. The server didn’t interact with us as much as he did with other tables. We were charged a $1 more on an item that was was listed for $4 on the menu. After mentioning the discrepancy on the bill, the server then claimed it was the tax. This was incorrect since the tax was cleared itemized on the bottom of the receipt. He then proceeded to check with his Manager and they removed the entire dish. The server dropped the improved check without mentioning the change in the bill.
I chose this restaurant because of the great reviews but unfortunately did not receive the service I expected.
Hi anonymous, I am the manager referenced and remember the occasion. Thank you for pointing out the $1 discrepancy in price (this was unintentional). While it sounds like your server didn't handle some interactions ideally, I'm sure he didn't mean to single you out. It sounds as if he may have been a bit flustered and/or nervous, knowing your service hadn't gone as well as he wished. I hope you give us another try, and understand that everyone has an off night. Absolutely phenomenal food. Went for brunch and had the hash, avocado toast, burger, and the pancake. Incredible
La Brass’s staff was just as amazing as the menu. Our waitress offered personalized recommendations and elevated our experience! Will absolutely return!
Took my parents here for dinner. We had a lovely meal. All the dishes were delicious. The Mexican rice and the sweet potato starters are amazing. The chicken main was perfectly done. The food has been elevated and improved since it first opened.

This is my favorite restaurant in Boston. The food is always creative and insanely delicious. I dream about salads I've had there years ago and their current menu is always out of control good. I can't recommend their cocktails enough either. It's a great space and always great service. I celebrate most occasions here and bring out of town guests to impress them and have a great time. 10/10 forever!
One of my perennial favorite restaurants. The menu changes frequently, but they always deliver innovative, outstanding meals.
