The service was impeccable. I found the food to be mostly fabulous but the french toast was nothing special. Outside is cool in the morning because no sun makes its way there so bring a little wrap. Make sure you have the OJ!

We were warmly greeted by the host. The dining area was cozy and immaculate. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The prices were about 30% higher than a year ago. Unfortunately, we will not be able to afford going as frequently as we used to, because of the higher prices.

Good was good… but our poor server kept having to apologize because the kitchen was incredibly slow. We waited over 50 minutes between having cocktails and oysters before of dinner main course arrived, and the bar equally slow. Not sure it was worth it.

I've been to La Merise many times over the years, and have always raved about it. Perhaps they were just having an "off" day on Sunday. Our server was very friendly, just not terribly attentive. Had to look for him often and ask other servers if they could find him. Ordered the escargot, which was delicious, but the mini, puff, croissant that accompanies it was cold (it's always served piping hot!) Requested another one and it was nice and hot. The Crab Benedict crepes were just ok. The crepes were quite gummy. The wine selection was great. Like I said, maybe they were just having an "off" day, but it was really disappointing.

Going down to a patio and through the doors of La Merise, you know you're in for a great experience. Although it is a downstairs location, the front is all glass letting in plenty of natural light. The decor is simple and warm. White linens and napkins makes any meal special. Our service was impeccable and attentive but not overly attentive. We had brunch and the menu was amazing. I ordered the Crepe Florentine with chicken, bacon, spinach, and Gruyere with hollandaise sauce. That may be the best hollandaise I have ever had. The chicken was moist and the crepe was so delicious. My friend had the Nice crepe with chicken, dried cranberries, and Gruyere with bechamel sauce. She said it was so great. I will be back again!

The food & service were excellent. Our only complaint is that we asked for a specific table when we made our reservation & they had given it away to another party. That was poor form. If someone goes to the trouble to find out a table number, then makes a reservation & specifically asks for it, you should honor their request.

We had a fantastic dinner celebrating my husband's birthday, our server Allison was friendly, knowledgeable and the food was off the chain good! I was really impressed with the wide ranging wine list with a price point for any budget. And oh my did I mention the food, oh yes I did!

This was our first time at Le Merise, but certainly not our last! Everything about this place was right up our alley....service, atmosphere, vibe, food, etc. We had lunch, on a very cold day, so started with mussels and oysters, then each had their French onion soup. Every bite was delicious. Great, fresh oysters (not easy to find in the West), the white wine sauce with the mussels was delicious, and finally their French onion soup was the real deal and obviously made in house. The depth of the flavor was extraordinarily delicious . We will most definitely be back....our plan is to try dinner there now.

Our waiter and food was a fantastic, a 5 star and excellent, the reason I rated 4/5 stars is because the hostess at front to seat us was not friendly and put off a rude and as if bothering her demeanor. Which almost made us want to leave.

It was okay. We had a late reservation not realizing they closed at 9. When we walked in and said we had a reservation the lady looked at us like we were crazy. It was a Saturday night, why allow them that late if you don’t want them. The food and wine was good.

This was our second visit to La Merise and unfortunately it didn't measure up to our first visit. We had the pork medallions and trout because they were so delicious the last time. But both entrees were over-cooked. The pork was on dry and slightly tough when compared to our last meal. The trout too was dry and over cooked. We'll give it another try and hope it's back to the quality we experienced during our first visit about a month ago.
