A but slow with service but staff pleasant and accomodating. Dinner very good all the way around.

I've never had a bad experience here! The food is always consistently good and the employees are nice and helpful!

Birthday dinner

This has been our favorite restaurant for years and tonight was no exception. I had forgotten when I made the reservation (it was a few weeks ago) that I noted we were celebrating my husband’s birthday so when they came out with dessert and a candle, and complimentary after dinner port we were BOTH surprised! Perfect sweet spot for a date night.

The service was amazing. Our service Justin did such a great job along with the rest of the staff. The food was so good and came out so quickly.

Had rez for a Friday eve for two- Arrived a bit early and sat at bar for drinks-all good- nice decor live music good drinks. Got seated and it was down hill from there- sat there for a good 15-20 mins and nothing. No greeting-water-or drink request. Now granted it was a Fri and a little busy but nothing? Finally our server arrived apologized and took our drink order. The food was really not that good- the special calamari app was especially terrible- a bowl w sweet n sour sauce at bottom one pepper and small obviously not fresh but from frozen squid rings- This is the South Shore of LI! We’re a half a mile from the water and your charging $15-16 bucks for this? The asiago wings also tasted watery not fresh and tasteless and the artichoke hearts, small and also bland. Our mains a “special” fish dish was ok but also oddly no taste. The other main the skirt steak was especially tough and thin. The bill over hundred and twenty dollars- This is the second time this happened here and not sure what the deal is- We’ve been coming to LaT for several years and have decided to give it a break for a while. Ill spend my time and $ elsewhere

Always enjoy going to La Tavola. Food is great and so is the service.

Brunch with the girls. We started at the bar. Bartender was amazing and friendly. Moved to a great seat in the back. Service and food both excellent. We all had breakfast pizzas. Loved all that we tried. Delicious Bloody Mary and cocktail section. Definitely recommend

Great restaurant. Good good. Friendly staff. We were just seated at a table next to the door and hostess stand and bathrooms so there were a lot of people standing around us and felt like they were on top of us while eating.

The food, service and atmosphere was phenomenal.

Food was great, the service was horrible! Our waiter (Justin or Jordan) was missing in action. No bread was brought to the table, long wait between apps and main course, even longer wait between main course and dessert. Couple next to us complained about the same thing.

Always love coming to this restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and it feels very cozy.

Nice Saturday lunch. Chicken wrap with salad and a burger and salad - $26, not including tip. Good for the price.

Delicious as always. The grilled caesar and crab cakes were perfect. We shared a wonderful pasta.

My husband and I went with another couple during restaurant week. We know that many restaurants do not offer many choices during this period, but La Tavola’s menu was extensive! All four of us had different appetizers that each of us loved! I had the yum calamari. The entree list seemed endless and just as special. I had chicken Marsala—I want to have it again very soon!
Our waiter, Mike, couldn’t do enough for us! He was helpful, energetic, kind and fun!
We were even offered after dinner drinks on the house!
Can’t wait to go back!

Was restaurant week and likely why it was overcrowded. Food was good but the whole experience might keep me from giving it a second chance. Not enough servers for the rush that was at 7pm.

My group went during Restaurant Week & ordered from the Prix Fixe Menu. Our meals were excellent & exceeded our expectations. The service was slightly delayed due to Restaurant Week but it was expected & not at all bothersome. Overall an awesome experience & will come back!!!!

I thought the idea behind Restaurant Week was to showcase your restaurant’s food to customers who may not eat there regularly. This was an abysmal failure. What we consumed was generally lacking in flavor (baked clams, chicken francese, herb roasted sole, even the tiramisu) or not fitting the menu description (herb roasted sole was a tasteless boiled or steamed fish). Only exceptions were a good arancini for appetizer and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. The service was OK, Kelly was pleasant and helpful, but the wine was not served until the appetizers were done and when bread was offered it was by the hostess. The prix fixe dinner was not a bargain. Clearly we will not be back.

great ambiance, wine was delicious, waiter was amazing, he guided us in just the right way, and encourage us to try some new items; we were so pleased. I already know what I am trying next time, so I am anticipating our return.

This is my fourth time coming here and I can not say enough about it.

Thought the ambience was very nice the service was excellent the menu was OK we would come back again and perhaps sit at the bar and have a pizza. We are café Joelle people and do think that the food was a bit better there. Pasta dish was very bland swordfish however was good and egg plant Parmesan was good

We enjoyed our dinner very much, went on a sunday night and not many people at all. Food was very good, calamari was great as an app. Warm holiday feel in the restaurant which I really appreciated. Only small thing was that the waitress kept disappearing. Needed a drink and finally had to ask bus boy for waitress and also she left the check and had to again ask bus boy to get her. Not a big problem and it was very slow. Overall a good experience

Wonderful place, had live music. Food very good and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The service was excellent, we got seated right away, everyone was very friendly, and the waitress was attentive and efficient. The food was fresh and tasty, very high quality. I had the Caesar salad which was crisp and had just the right amount of dressing. For the entree, I had the butternut squash ravioli in a truffle cream sauce which was delightful. It was the best butternut squash ravioli I've had in a long time. For dessert, I had the tiramisu which was delicious, it wasn't overly rich, just perfect. The beer flight for $8.00 was reasonably priced and there was a nice selection to choose from. We had a fantastic evening at La Tavola, we'll definitely be back!

Great food! Although the parking lot was packed it was not noisy. Live music was great too

We went to La Tavola during the Nov 3-9, 2019 Restaurant Week. Made a reservation through OpenTable for 4. The scheduling went smoothly. We requested to be seated in the deck section of the restaurant since the main dining area was very crowded and noisy. The hostess was very accommodating and re-arranged the tables for my group. The service and food was good and I would not hesitate to recommend La Tavola to others based on our first time experience. Diners should be mindful about the date and time they make reservations as the place fills up quickly and can get very noisy.

This used to be our favorite restaurant. It is the 3rd time in a row the service was awful. Like in baseball, 3 strikes and your out. We decided that we can no longer go back. Also the food has taken a turn as well. I didn't want to write this review.

This was our first time at La Tavola and it was a lovely experience. The pricing a little more than the amount of food warranted, HOWEVER, I wouldn't let that keep me from going back. The food was absolutely excellent and the service was better! It was real pleasure to just enjoy such a lovely atmosphere and great food! I highly recommend this restaurant. Ps: I ordered the butternut squash. DELICIOUS!
