All of our friends who regularly dine at La Voute restaurant look forward to having Linda Binette as their server and now we do too! The menu is always inviting and now that we know about Linda, we will become regulars!!
Great evening. Nicely paced.
The Sunday morning brunch was fantastic. Plenty of brunch selections including deserts that made it a terrific start of the day.
La Voute, once again, great service!
Food was mediocre for what they charged. Won't be back.
Our experience was wonderful and I can’t say enough about our server. She was outstanding! She went above and beyond to accommodate and I wish I could remember her name. And in spite of the rain coming in the window, the ambience was still warm and cozy. I also appreciated that the manager came over to apologize for any inconvenience with the rain coming in. food is absolutely delicious and presentation so beautiful. This is our second time to the restaurant and we have had fabulous experiences. Thank you so much!!!
Brunch was great, as usual! I highly recommend it!
The food was good, not wonderful, and on the pricey side...$28-$32 a plate. This was a birthday dinner and hoped for posh, given the prices. Sat facing the bar and two big screen tv’s playing football. This does not speak to me as posh. The waiter might have thought he was humorous/upbeat but he came across smarmy. Our bill was almost $200 for 3. Had it been elegant with polite service, it might have met my expectations but I left feeling ripped off.
Service was great however, the restaurant was out of a few items that were listed on the menu.
Overall great dining experience. Great service and good food. They were setting up for brunch the next day- so this sort of lessened the dining experience- but otherwise- the food was great. A great restaurant for the area.
Party of four celebrate two birthdays. Absolutely delightful evening. First time visit definitely will return. General Manager Nick provided exceptional table side service and excellent wine recommendation,s, Charlye our server was on task and a delight. Entrees were delicious, presentation and timing were perfect. Overall great dining experience. Highly recommended.
Everything was delicious and creatively prepared. My Old Fashioned drink was unique and phenomenal! The décor is lovely of course because my daughter designed it! We just missed the bacon and onions appetizer! :(
Food and service were excellent. Noise level was a problem. We really struggled to hear each other and carry on a conversation.
As usual, a great time was had at La Voute.
I love this restaurant!
All was as anticipated and expected. Dined there a number of times never disappointed.
We truly enjoyed our dining experience. The parking was excellent. Loved that there were elevators. Some loved the vault rooms.
The best part was the food. The stuffed Chicken, Pork Chop and all the other food was cooked to absolute perfection. The waiter kept my water full. The drinks were highly praised.
I went there on a Sunday morning. They do have a buffet which we didn’t do , but looked great. We opted for the menu. Everything was fresh and delicious. The table ordered Croque Monsieur, quiche and shrimp and grits - all outstanding! Good vibe in restaurant and not too loud even though the restaurant was quite busy with a wedding. Will definitely go back.
Our server, Linda was great; very attentive and friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and the food was excellent. We were warmly greeted and could not have picked a better place to celebrate. thank you.
The staff and our server were great. We were seated and served promptly, and our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable about the restaurant and offerings. He also shared information about upcoming events. Will return!
When a friend in the south suburbs suggested lunch near her, La Voûte was my instant suggestion. She was delighted; it's one of her faves, too! I am always happy to hop a train from Hyde Park to La Voûte. The food is consistently good. The service is always superlative.
Beautiful smiles, thoughtfulness, genuine friendliness and responsiveness must be mandatory requirements for the wait staff. Bravo to Brandon, who won our hearts this time!
Great service! Food was good but steak sandwiches were a bit too sloppy! Just used the top to put the meat on to eat.
Our neighborhood gem in Homewood, a favorite for special occasions or just any time. Food is always top quality and great taste, and service is excellent.
I love this restaurant. The farm to table concept is well executed. The food is wonderful and the service is exceptional. I love the fact that the quality and ambiance are top shelf, but it’s not a stuffy place. And it’s practically in my backyard! Love!
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Food was good but a bit underwhelming for the price. We took advantage of the half-priced wine.
The food was just ok. The building and interior was very nice. Clean. Our waiter was very nice but must have been new because he wasn’t very knowledgeable. For a Saturday night between 6-8pm, it wasn’t very crowded. Good for us because it wasn’t noisy but kind of made me wonder why as we were there. There was nothing special about the food. My BF got the steak frites and wanted it medium rare and it was medium to medium well. My bone-in pork, was dry. The honey Dijon sauce that was on top was very good though. The calamari was chewy and I hated the lobster sauce that came with it. I couldn’t put my finger on what was in it that I didn’t like but it wasn’t good. The staff was very friendly and the owner and manager each walked around and asked us how everything was. Overall is was just OK so we won’t be back.
Had lunch on a Sunday. We ordered from the menu, however, brunch was available and it looked delicious. There was live music which was enjoyable. A few of us had the smoked salmon sandwich. The presentation was nice and it was really good. Would definitely go back.
All was as expected and I anticipated.
They were busy but the service was very slow
I had a birthday dinner there at 7pm on a saturday. It was not a busy night. The service was really slow but our waiter was nice and funny. I had the salmon but it was like a 1oz piece for $28. Also the salmon was under seasoned. The desert was great though. I would try it again.
We went on a Monday evening - which was spontaneous and happened to fall on their 1/2-price Appetizer special night. Thus, we decided to simply order a selection of four appetizers and drinks for our meal. We selected the lobster cigar; escargot; stuffed mushrooms; and calamari. Of these selections, the calamari was good. The other apps were absolutely nothing special - and actually tasted as though they were from Costco's frozen food section. Really, really bad. I guess we 'expected' something a bit more upscale and special, since this restaurant bills itself as a French bistro. Our first time there will be our last, unfortunately. Best part of the evening: we didn't pay full-price for the food items ordered.
Food, service perfect. Everything we had to ear was excellent. Hidden gem in the south suburbs.
This is our second time visiting this restaurant. After the first time, we couldn't wait to return. The appetizers were excellent and scallops were sweet and delicious and the salmon was good. Our second visit was not as noteworthy, however, as the scallops were just okay and the salmon, though moist as requested, tasted like farmed salmon rather than wild-caught. For the price, both dishes should have been better as they were the previous visit. Our dining companion, a french food connoisseur, ordered the steak which he said was so-so because it did not come with any sauce. Although we will probably return to this restaurant in the future, we may not be in such a hurry.
Food was outstanding! Great variety of menu choices with a knowledgeable waiter. Really nice ambiance. Everyone should opt in for the Zarlengo's gelato!
Best cocktails around, delicious food. James was a great waiter!
I've been to La Voûte before and the food was not as good as it was this time around! I'm so glad I chose to revisit! The risotto was melt in your mouth good and the salmon was perfectly cooked!
Matt was very attentive without being overbearing and the service was timely and accommodating.
I will ABSOLUTELY be back again to try more items on the menu!
Food was delicious. As a Vegan it's wonderful to have a good choice of dishes available. Atmosphere is relaxing, service friendly and food very tasty indeed. Good cocktails also.
It was lovely
We were seated immediately for our 7:15 reservation. There were no menus available. The bar was stacked with used glasses. A waitress approached within 10 minutes to tell us she would return. There was a function going on outside which produced people walking in for drink orders. We left within 15 minutes recognizing what the rest of the evening would be. Perhaps when functions are scheduled for the outside square, bar service should not be made available for walk-ins. There isn't enough staff for this service and you jeopardize the reputation of the restaurant. We won't be returning in the near future.
We were there the night of the market and Pride kick-off. The staff was swamped and the restaurant crowded. People left because service was so slow. Of the tables around us, only one waiter offered free drinks to make up for the slow service. Unfortunately, he was not our waiter. Again, this was an anomaly but disappointing that they thought to staff the outside bar appropriately but not the dining room.
