Prompt seating . Great service. Apps and small plates were great. Food was good.
Good service from friendly, knowledgeable waitress. The specials were very good.
Food was great, service good and craft beer menu was excellent. Lots of local options. We will be back
We had wanted to try this restaurant for dinner. It was great! We were very pleased. The food was fantastic!
Overall there few waiters for many tables, however the service was good and the waiter was very professional.
It feels like a step up from Applebees (and don't get me wrong I do love applebees)... it's just nothing special or unique.
The service and ambience was decent. However, the food was poorly prepared and overpriced. $56 for a steak that was not seasoned and cooked poorly was annoying. I ordered a medium steak and the top half was burned and cooked through to the middle, while the bottom half was undercooked. It's like you threw it under a broiled and botched it. For that price I expect much better. In addition, my wife's steak was cooked identical. The steak has little flavor and want seasoned. When our food came out, my wife's entre was served and I waited a solid five minutes for mine to come out. The value and quality for the price, and service, will probably cause me to avoid this restaurant in the future.
While the Butternut Squash soup with vegetables was very good and satisfying on a winter’s day, the menu was rather dull. It appears there isn’t a great variety in the menu and seems as though the chef was making it easy on himself.
Unique food that never disappoints. Food was prepared exquisitely and service was impeccable. A staple in Beautiful Pittsford. A band also played in the bar area and was magnificent.
My husband and I went out for a date night. We decided on a few small plates to share. Our favorites were the Harvest Steak salad and Crab fondue. We also really enjoyed the Lo Down cocktails. Service was great, staging the food just like we wanted. It was a very nice evening, we would definitely recommend.
Really enjoyed the food and service here was great. There was a bad at the right volume level. Very enjoyable
The menu looked interesting but the execution of the food was quite poor. Avoid the flat iron steak at all costs. It was so chewy my husband almost choked. Preparation and execution is key with flat iron steak, if you can’t do it right, don’t have it on the menu. Salmon was well seasoned but overdone, polenta was good, broccolini was not seasoned at all.
Food was excellent. I had the pork shank and it was one of the best meals I have had in a while. Good atmosphere. Good drinks. Overall we had a nice evening.
Greeted upon entry and seated within 5 minutes. Hostess gave us the option to sit by the fireplace which was an excellent choice.
Our server greeted us promptly and offered us a beverage. Since this is early in the month she did forgot what the drink of the month was but quickly came back with a description. It was a good choice and strong!
Server offered up the evening specials when she brought our water. She took our order when she returned with our cocktails. Great selection with a hearty winter menu.
Appetizers came out quickly. Since we planned on sharing a beet salad, our server had it split into two bowls rather than one plate. That was a nice touch which was greatly appreciated. Chipotle chicken wings were very tasty and huge!
My wife ordered the burger which was cooked to order and she enjoyed it. I had the pork shank which was very good but my only complaint is that it was warm rather than hot. Not really a show stopper but it is worth mentioning.
Overall it was a nice experience and we will be back.
Label 7 is my favorite restaurant in the area. The location is great and the experience is consistent. Monday’s and Tuesday’s are BYOB so you can bring your own favorite bottle of wine with no corkage fee.
Good food and good wine, but service was just a tad slow and noise from the bar can be heard in the dining room - we were in a good spot that blocked most of the noise. Even with these minor issues, it was still a good place.
Hi there, thank you for your feedback! We are always striving to improve, so we love to hear any thoughts from our guests. On our busier nights, things slow down sometimes, but we promise to always do our best to give you a timely experience. Thanks again for your support, and we hope to welcome you back very soon!
Listened to the lovely Claudia Hoyser sing. Outstanding!!!Had Jordan as our server. Very friendly and attentive. Love Label 7!!!
Hello, thank you for your thoughtful review! Claudia is an amazing talent, we love having her. She plays about once a month on Tuesday nights. You can find her on our live music schedule on our website or our Facebook page. We're happy to hear you also had a great meal and service from Jordan. We will be sure to pass along the kind words. Thank you for your support, we look forward to your next visit! Sincerely, Label 7 Management
Always a great meal. Loved music from bar! Crammed in corner ... hard to get out.
Hi Tammy, we're glad you had a great meal, and we apologize for your uncomfortable accommodations. Higher Ground tends to bring a crowd! If you are looking to eat in the dining room or lounge upon your next visit, leave us a note on where you would like to sit and we will do our best to make sure you enjoy your meal there. Thank you for your continued support, we appreciate your business and we look forward to your next visit! Sincerely, Label 7 Management
We asked to be seated at a table that is quiet and placed next to kitchen door. Not a good move. We were sadly disappointed. The meals were mediocre at best.
No bread served with a dinner? C'mon!
We enjoyed our meal although we were not real impressed with the cheese and meat tray starter.
The 3 of us were back for a second visit. the room was a bit noisy but the service was excellent and the few vegetarian choices adequate. The chairs are very hard and no cushion was available, I was told there are 2 but they were being used. The wines offered a good selection and we were not rushed or pressured.
I have been here for dinner a few times and the food is always good. Service can be a bit slow so don't go here if you are in a hurry. Decent wine and beer list. Will go back.
We all enjoyed drink specials and fantastic meals. The patio overlooking the canal was perfect for a warm evening dinner with friends.
Very limited menu, food quality is very poor. Would never go back!
Label 7 had a positive presence as soon as we walked in. The place was packed, yet the host and servers were very attentive and seated us right away. The drink selection was great and we made sure to try the "Label 7 Cosmo," a perfect summer cocktail with fresh, fruity flavors. We ordered fried green tomatoes and a fresh bread plate to start. Everything tasted like it was made to order, which is what they are known for. Can't beat knowing everything on the menu is fresh from local farms and never frozen! Our server, John, recommended I try the "LA Chicken" entree. It was the best thing I had ever tasted. It consisted of two pieces of fried chicken over a delicious Belgian waffle. John mentioned when he orders it, he gets bacon on it and some hot sauce on the side, which was exactly what I did. Great advice, I couldn't have been more pleased. Although we were pretty full at this point, we had to get a dessert to share. You cannot go to Label 7 without ordering the "Doughnut Bread Pudding!" This was a perfect way to bring a close to the night, it was so rich, exciting and different from any other boring desserts that other restaurants offer. This place was the whole package with great service, unique and delicious food, and a beautiful setting. We can't wait until next time!
Did not know we could not reserve outside seating. Food was expensive and not worth the price.
Dined at Label 7 many times and never disappointed . The menu has changed and our party of 3 was very happy with the fried green tomatoes, scallop salad, scallop entree and chicken pizza. Drinks were great too. We ate outside on a beautiful night. Love the renovated bar too!
The food and service at Label 7 were excellent. We were a party of three and took a taste of each others entrees and all agreed each entree was very tasty. The waiter was knowledgable, attentive and friendly. The food was a bit pricey in my opinion but we brought our own wine (Tuesday BYOB) so that helped keep our bill down. The only two cons: First, the restaurant was loud, even before it got busy. We were in a corner by the window and we still had to strain to hear each other. The other was the pew seating by the windows. Not very comfortable. The restaurant did, however, have pillows on the benches you could use for your back which did help. Overall, our group enjoyed the dining experience and would go back. We're hoping for sunshine so we can enjoy the outdoor seating near the canal.
We were there on fathers day. The waitress was slow, took too long to get our food, never said happy fathers day and it was obvious as we were there as a family. It was not busy at all so not sure why she was not more attentive. The quiche was ok. Bland and nothing else served with it. $12 for quiche is crazy - at least serve fruit or salad with it. The breakfast pizza was dry and bland. Barely any items on it but a big fat over easy egg in middle. We just expected more but was dissappointed. Not sure we would run right back there anytime soon.
Great food, excellent service. But man, was it LOUD. Was in the little alcove (by the window, nearest to the front door) and basically had to shout to talk to my friend sitting right across from me.
We came here for happy hour and got some cheap, strong drinks. Food was incredibly good and service was great. Would come here again.
The atmosphere was very nice, but we were seated against a wall near the kitchen and quickly felt forgotten about. Food was mediocre and my steak arrived although cooked well , it took quite some time to get a steak knife .I asked if I could have a different style potato and I was told, "I'm sorry, but the whipped potatoes are only for the evenings Special". I mean seriously? The coffee was so old and strong it tasted like it was made the day before, or scorched from sitting too long . I was so hoping for a nice experience and good food and I was disappointed. Not sure I will be rushing back there any time soon, nor will I be encouraging my friends to go there. I mean it was a Tuesday night, it wasn't packed. I expected better service for such an upscale ,non chain restaurant. I feel like I should have saved my money and just cooked for him myself.
We've been here a few times and the food is always good. Donut bread pudding is awesome. The service is a little slow and our waiter wasnt really very attentive - which is too bad as he had a trainee shadowing him.
The staff is attentive and very friendly. The ambiance is warm and easy to converse.
We had a great meal on a busy Friday night. The service was great with an attentive waiter who checked on us throughout the evening to be sure we didn't need anything.
We ordered the bread basket that came with a delicious assortment of crusty bread and dipping oil. We also shared the cioppino filled with a wonderful assortment of clams, mussels and fish. The broth was rich and delicious.
We will definitely return soon and bring friends.
The inside decor is great, but the outside sitting area needs much help: dead potted plants (in black plastic?), ugly, big black string lights, fence is stained and needs to be painted same color trim as rest of place or replace it so you can't see behind it, wires are hanging in bunches above wait area (really?), bar needs a cover/awning or something, the ditch or incline next to fence needs filling (did I see a garbage can?). How about placemats? Even paper would be OK. Also sounds like I have the same complaint as others: service is SLOW.
Good food, service, ambiance. However they don't know how to make a Cosmo (carbonation & grapefruit juice?)
I ordered a Ceasar salad with chicken and I swear it was the same chicken on the salad at Panera's for twice the price. I was not impressed. The atmosphere is lovely but the food is only fair.
Seated promptly by hostess. After that everything else was very very slow. Long wait times for our server, long wait times for our food and long wait times for our check. I couldn't understand why because the restaurant was not very busy.
The food was great, all 4 of us had the specials. The appetizers were a bit small for the price, and we had a rather large, loud group seated next to us. All and all though, we had a great meal. Can't wait to go back to sit outside!
