We had heard good things about this neighborhood restaurant and made reservations Saturday night on the morning of. Nice ambiance and it was busy considering there was the corona virus. They chilled our wine and pretty attentive. The mussels appetizer was delicious, served with bread to dip. The seafood linguini was okay, the noodles seemed clumpy. But it was a healthy serving and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The scallops could have seared a little better. The trout was delicious as well but not remarkable. Overall a good dinner out with nice ambiance and attentive service. I’ll try different dishes next time
The service was gracious, but the waiters seemed to be rushing around. The restaurant was completely filled though, so I guess that might be expected.
Everyone's food was wonderful. We ordered mussels as an appetizer to share at the table.
The portion was generous and allowed us each to have quite a few. The sauce was excellent.
Other dishes we ordered were the mushroom risotto (very rich with a great blending of flavors), the arctic char, and two orders of steak au poivre, which this restaurant does beautifully.
I would be happy to go there again very soon.

We love James food so so much. He never disappoints. The mussels appetizer in a green sauce were plump delicious and full of amazing flavor. Every main dish was superb. My scallops over the cauliflower purée was out of this world.
The tiramisu and the lava cake were both scrumptious.
Our waiter Jeremy was extraordinary.
We booked Easter Sunday for our family of 10 already. And I am driving up from DC because I do not want to miss this feast !

Food is very good. A little more variety in the menu for the entrees would be good. Appetizers were very good.

This place was recommend by some friends. The food was delicious, I go the Artic Char special. The sauce on it was amazing. Would definitely go back.

Had a 7:15 reservation but were not seated until 7:45. The waiter was fantastic. Food very disappointing. Descriptions sounded great and presentation was ok. But fig Crostini app was not like description and for a “crostini” app like that I should not have to put it together myself. It was like a fig compote slapped down next to blue cheese with 3-4 pieces of out of the box stale pieces of crostini. The pasta dishes were terrible, we didn’t even eat them. Their “large” meatball is a bit too much and honestly just tasted like a giant roll of ground beef. No flavouring and dry and silly in size. The bucatini sauce was not to our liking, mostly cream and handful of mushrooms and that was it. Not impressive for the special of the night. Disappointing overall.
This was our second visit to Laboratorio Kitchen & we enjoyed both visits. The service is great & the food delicious. On both visits we had mussels made 2 different ways & these
are the tenderest tastiest mussels ever. We were there on a Friday and had appetizers and
a main course. This last time we dined on a Thursday & we ordered 4 small plates.
The apps and steak were good, seafood not great. One small room, pretty loud but not a great atmosphere. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there again.

The only thing that wasn’t awesome was the arugula salad ... which wasn’t bad but nothing to write home about.

I always liked Laboratorio, but I have to tell you this time, I was a little bit disappointed
my steak was good but very salty.
The waiter was had a little bit of a smug ness about him.
Lorenzo is the best waiter there if he still works there.
I would go back though because I do like the resturant and tell them to hold the salt
and hope next time to get another waiter.

It was a wonderful Valentine celebration with a wonderful meal and absolutely impeccable service. The patrons were all definitely enjoying the evening!
A little noisy but it was Valentine’s Day so it was a full house other than that everything else was great! The food was amazing along with the service. I didn’t feel rushed and I felt attended to which is was awesome. Th restaurant itself has a great feel and look to it. Overall a great experience and I would go back again.

We had a wonderful early Valentine’s Day dinner. Food and service were excellent and price was very reasonable for what you’re getting in terms of quantity and quality.
This is the third time I’ve been there. The waiter was adequate. Didn’t seem particularly happy to be there.
I was disappointed in the entrees. They were very average, nothing special.
There were no desser offerings but for vanilla gelato.
The service was great. The steak was very chewy.
We had a delicious meal at Laboratorio Kitchen. The special salad appetizer, scallops entree, and special pasta and shrimp entree were all exquisite. We also very much enjoyed the pot d' creme dessert.
Our main complaint would be that it was extremely noisy in the dining room, making it a bit hard to converse with the rest of our party of four. The staff was competent, but a bit too busy so that it took a while to get anyone's attention when we needed something. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves very much.

I found Laboratorio through Yelp and was pleasantly surprised. The other surprise was they do not serve alcohol. However, they do have the option to have wine delivered from a local store and do not charge a corking fee which was great (arrived within 5 minutes). The food was excellent and portions were large. I had the burratta which was amazing and the pasta with the meatball (literally the size of a softball). I couldn't finish it, but enjoyed everything thoroughly. The only thing that tough is when travelening to the area by yourself, there is no place (like a bar) to sit so i would probably only go if i was with someone else. But, its the best I've had in the area by far.
The food was good. Good quality steak that was cooked well. Salmon prepared well. Only downside that would prevent me from recommending this to my friends is that we felt constantly harassed to move thru our meal which ruined the dining experience. It was more than attentive service; it was overbearing. On open table it says you have the reservation for 1.5 hrs. 45-50 min into our dinner we were already being told that they needed the table and we needed to order our dessert. Dining should be an experience and while I appreciate their quick service, I did not appreciate feeling rushed. Plus the diners next to us, who arrived before us were not being rushed along.

We have eaten dinner at Laboratorio five times and it has been consistently excellent. Food is delicious—- try the scallops if you’re a fish eater— and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner. We also know friends who have hosted group dinners there and they we’re very happy with their choice.

My family always enjoys our outings to this restaurant. The only issue we had this time it was hard to understand the waiter we had.
Dined here a few times and have not been disappointed. The food selection is unique, the service is excellent, everything was perfectly prepared, and the prices are very reasonable for the menu. Steak and frites amazing, trout expertly done and delicious. 100 feet from a wine shop complete the ease of dining at this great BYOB spot. Highly recommend!
