Locally owned and operated for over thirty years, the Chart Room Restaurant offers an array of fresh seafood, steaks and more. Try the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut while enjoying the expansive views of Frenchman's Bay in Hulls Cove. Nestled along the water's edge just two miles from the heart of Bar Harbor, the Chart Room is a classic Maine seafood dining experience that is a favorite of visitors and locals alike! With a full bar, plenty of outdoor seating, cozy tables for two as well as space for your large group gathering, the Chart Room has it all. Enjoy local oysters and cocktails while seated at our new pier, or dine inside on a 12oz prime rib while overlooking the changing tide. We take a limited amount of reservations so that way walk in guests are still able to join us.

In season, our highly rated restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily. Breakfasts at the Friar are hearty and healthy. Portions are generous and everything is made from scratch right here at the Black Friar Inn. Open to the public, breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. If you are staying at the Inn, your breakfast is included in the room rate.Each afternoon the Friar's Pub opens at 4 pm for happy hour, offering $6 house wine and drafts (Maine selections always on tap) and the company is fine. Settle in after a day in the park in an old-fashioned British pub atmosphere. A full line of spirits, classic and creative cocktails, wines, and craft brews are served.Shareable plates and pub fare, dinner offerings include welsh rarebit, scotch eggs, crab cakes, and much more. The dinner service begins at 4 pm.
