The Chief Commanda has been a staple in North Bay's Marina for over twenty years, serving as a bar, restaurant, and tourist attraction under various managements after being decommissioned and relocated from Callander Bay.In 2013, our family team saw an opportunity to take over the property and the aging vessel. Two local brothers, along with their experienced food and beverage team, embraced the challenge to revive the "old girl." We kept it simple, renaming it The Boat North Bay—a family-owned local business. We pride ourselves on being food-focused, community-sensitive, and tourist-friendly, committed to providing the best service, products, and experiences.We take great pride in our roots and our achievements over the past five seasons.     We went to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, we got married at Churchill’s. It was so special and the waitress made us feel so important, she took our photo and congratulated us. We will be going back every year, Churchill’s holds a special place in our hearts.

    I can’t say enough good things about the boat. The service was phenomenal. The food was delicious and the prices are quite reasonable. It was during the smoke and sound festival so there was was live music all weekend. I’ll be hitting it again next time I’m in North Bay for sure . special shout out to our server, Cameryn. She was super efficient and friendly

    My Mom and I are new to North Bay and wanted to go for wings, ordered Nachos first and HOLY S**T!! The Nachos are massive and AMAZING!!! We had pulled pork on them and they were absolutely F***ing Delightful!! Sooooo cheesy, soooo loaded with everything and for the price, Amazing!! Great time however, I’ll be honest, could NOT stand the non stop country music but whatevs, still was a great experience! And our waitress Charlotte was Awesome and super cute and personable and made it that much better! 🙏🩷
