Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar in Duluth, Minnesota has been around since 1991, back when Canal Park was better known as an industrial harbor rather than a tourist location. The interior at Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar has a cozy feel to it, thanks in large part to the reclaimed lumber used for the tables, booths and bar as well as thriving plants. When the weather is nice, you can dine on our deck, furnished with Loll patio furniture made locally. We are a small restaurant, limited to 15 tables and 70 seats indoors. Because of this we are not able to accommodate groups larger than 8 people. If your party is larger than 8 people, please understand that your group may be split at separate tables, potentially not near each other. Please call us to discuss accommodating your large group events.Due to the invariability of Duluth weather, our deck is non-reservable (with or without dogs) and subject to be closed without much notice. We seat the patio on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Service was great! I ordered Blackened steak tips - Medium. Although they weren't medium they were very tender. Very delicious. The only improvement in my opinion is bringing the hard rolls back. Cranberry is a sweet bread and the garlic rolls are not fluffy. Their Caesar salad is AMAZING, house salad is great too. - other times I've ordered Twin Lobster Tails. Never disappointed. My other half orders steak almost every time and he loves it. It's definitely the best steak I've had around the area. Pasta specials are usually impressive. My son loves those. Overall always a great dining experience.

    Dinner was delicious. We made reservations and asked to sit by the windows for the Duluth harbor/lift bridge view when being seated. (If there are tables open with this view, it’s definitely worth asking the host/hostess to sit there if they don’t first sit you at one.) Our server was great and attentive. It wasn’t too loud for us in there either. We also ate here for breakfast and lunch. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a meal at anytime!
