The Idaho Club restaurant set in the beautiful Clubhouse, is a family friendly setting with an exceptional menu set by Chef Mike Drabowski. Mike is a Sandpoint native and most recently served as Executive Chef at 41 South. Under his leadership, 41 South was consistently voted as one of the best restaurants in Sandpoint. Mike learned his craft at the Seattle Culinary Academy earning an Associates of Culinary Arts degree in 2008. His culinary expertise was further developed at several concepts managed and owned by the Tom Douglas Restaurant Group in Seattle, notably Etta’s and SeaTown, after beginning his career with Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

The Candle in the Woods offers a gourmet wine and dinner experience for food-adventurous guests. We have a 12-14 course prix fixe monthly menu, each course paired with wine from our award wining cellar. We seat a maximum of 22 guests per evening, and they dine family-style around our beautiful, large, handmade table. Enjoy time in our game room or at the fire pits on our outside patio in between courses - we welcome you to what has been described as one of the best dining experiences in the world. You may enter The Candle as strangers, but you will leave as family.

    If you want to enjoy a unique dining experience, go to Candle In The Woods. Every detail of the evening is carefully thought out and you will not be disappointed in any part of your time there. High marks for staff, food quality and creativity, and environment.

    Lovely dinner! Top notch service and amazing food. I had the filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the mustard crusted sea bass. We also appreciated the addition of rolls and the tomato basil compound butter is amazing. Finally, a trip to the Idaho Club would not be complete without brownies and ice cream. Sooo good!!
