Absolutely brilliant as always and we are looking forward to our next visit 😄

My daughter and I booked lunch for her late birthday treat at 1.15pm. As our business in town had concluded earlier than expected, we arrived at the restaurant at 12noon in the hope of securing an earlier lunch slot. We were met at the door by the friendliest of staff, who checked our original booking and brought our booking to seat us immediately. Our table was upstairs and immediately upon entering the area, both my daughter and I found the level of conversation overwhelming, as it seemed to reverberate around the room. We asked to be moved downstairs, explaining why and the server promptly went to check downstairs seating for us, without question. Suffice to say, we were reseated to an area that was less noisy. Our server was a young girl, who though obviously rushed off her feet, greeted us with a smile and friendly chat, as I observed she did with absolutely everyone she came into contact with. Definitely a credit to the restaurant! Her service was impeccable. The food. Oh my! A separate vegan/vegetarian menu just full of options and choice, that tasted just as good as it looked when arriving at our table. Just enough time in between courses, allowing time to build towards those amazing desserts! We felt relaxed, taking time to enjoy each course and was neither hurried or harangued, either between each setting or at the end. The overall experience did not disappoint and we will most certainly revisit next time we have a Mother/Daughter day in Edinburgh. Thank you.

We loved our first visit to the Culdee and will definitely be back. Absolutely beautifully renovated church keeping many original features making it such a relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent with service to match. Nice chat with Gill the owner too 😊

Staff were great, really accommodating of my grandmother’s wheelchair, and the menu was varied and all delicious!! The crab linguine in particular!!

A busy lively little restaurant serving excellent fresh food and service to match. Couldn’t fault it…pasta was tasty and steak perfectly cooked! Defo recommend but book in advance to avoid disappointment!
