Serving the finest in Steaks, Prime Rib & Seafood for over 60 years. Our founders Jerry and Lee Woods opened Sutter's Mill in 1958 on the corner of Foothill and Sayre in Sylmar. Sutter's Mill moved to Mission Hills in 1960.Over the next 20 years two more restaurants and a night club were added. In 2007 the founders son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Salli, opened our current location in Simi Valley. While Joe and Salli are still active, day to day operations are run by their daughter-in-law, Marie Robinson. Everything used in our restaurant from food to soap is good for humans to consume and handle and does not contain anything synthetic. All produce comes from our own private farm in West Los Angeles or the farmer's market, all pasta is hand made every day in our pasta room, and we make everything in house. The joy of eating seasonally, simply and well among good company is one shared by all at Osteria La Buca.
