My birthday dinner at Mastro’s was amazing! The service at this place is outstanding! The door was held open for us when we walked in, the ladies at the front were so friendly. Once we got seated, our server was prompt to greet us, tell us recommendations, and gave us time to browse the menu. The food was amazing! And the special birthday dessert was impeccable! Always a great time at Mastro’s.

The five-star experience started the moment we walked in, when we were offered a glass of bubbly. The excellent service continues until we walk out. We were seated and given time to enjoy our drinks while we looked over the menu. The server offered her recommendations and gave us time to discuss our options. The server had a thorough understanding of the menus and was able to answer all our questions. The food was presented and delivered with flair and style. The taste of the dishes exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Joey steak and the udon carbonara as our mains after enjoying the ceviche to start. The ceviche looked like art and was the best I have ever tasted. The carbonara was so rich and flavorful. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender with lots of smoky flavor that was also present in the broccolini. The mashed potato egg rolls were interesting and a great complement to the steak. We had two desserts, the creme brûlée cheesecake and the butter cake. My wife and I could not agree on which one we liked best. Both were delicious and big enough that we should have only ordered one and shared. After the meal, we didn't feel any pressure to finish our drinks quickly so that the table could be turned over. It was so nice to be able to enjoy our drinks after such a fine meal. We can not wait to come back and try some of the other dishes. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so memorable

Service is always friendly and customer oriented; food is always good

Oh man where do I start? I wandered in here on a whim. I live in SoCal and I’m up here for work, looked cool in Google so made a reservation and popped in. Sat at the bar. The level of attention to detail paid the environment and ambience is unrivaled. The cocktail menu was literally a little booklet with photographs in it, so cool. The food was standout and beyond good. I didn’t get to try everything I wanted but the pastas looked amazing (next time). I started with a vesper martini (perfectly executed) and then had the wedge salad, it was the best wedge salad I’ve ever had…the quality of the bleu cheese and the homemade ranch dressing are what made it shine. Next I had a small French onion soup which was just the perfect amount and once again executed perfectly with balanced flavor that was not too salty. Next i tried their take on the arancini which made me want more than one. For my main course I had the filet mignon oscar style. The steak was perfectly cooked and the way they sliced the asparagus and combined it with the crab and bernaise sauce was not only an innovative take on a classic but it elevated the entree and was unlike any other oscar style filet I’ve had in my life. If I rate this place more than 5 stars I would…it’s easily a 15/10 in my book. I plan to visit again whenever work brings me up here.

Had a great experience at King’s Fish House - San Jose. The blackened shrimp taquitos appetizer is delicious and so are the fresh oysters. The Miso Yaki Wild Chilean Sea Bass was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had anywhere. Perfection!
